@@kylestewart3927I met someone last week who has over 70 pairs, a whole room was full of boots, a lot were still new, his wife started selling all his boots. Lol. I bought 2 from them.

I currently own 118 pairs of boots now 30+ years of collecting. Snip to square toe, Lucchese, Lama, Resistol ranch, cowtown, blackjack, etc..every animal from wilderbeest, carraboo, cape buffalo, shark, diamondback snakeskin, caiman, lizard, every color exotics over last 30-40 years. I take good care of my gear, so I have some 40 years old, but I get some each year, plus get em as gift's, so, got about a hundred, but that's ok, if a friend really likes a pair, I give em to him, I wear what looks and feels good. Hell, had 40 pair on stage, loaned for a school production of Oklahoma. So, I got enough
I'm in Denver and I like to go to Norteña music clubs so I decided I just couldn't live without multiple pairs of ostrich, caiman, and lizard in different colors...as well as a few python and rattlesnake. Keep up the good work, Jeremiah!

So I brought out the old pair and found a new appreciation for them. Now I love the old pair too! About a month ago I found another pair of Shyannes on offer up for 20 bucks so I couldn't pass those up. So right now I'm up to 3. I can't wait to get my JW boots in that will put me at 4. But I feel like I want all the boots now. I got the bug! I even talked my fiance into a pair of Tony Lamas. He wasn't even a big fan of boots. Today I caught him on his phone looking for a pair of work boots🤣

You just describe how I feel. Haha. I had 4 pairs but for some reason I forgot what I did with 3 of them and a few weeks ago I sold my last pair so I started buying them again. Haha. Now I have 7 pairs and looking to get a couple of vintage exotic.
Yeah, I found 5 for my sweat spot. Pair for Hunting, Everyday Wearing, Church(black caiman belly), casual dressier outings(just a bump up from everyday boots), and Safari Pirarucu's for parties or dressier moments. Actually, I can use either exotic leather for those moments. Heh heh.
I just ordered 4 pairs to go with the ones I already own. I think the most comfortable boots I've owned were the double h biker boots, their version of the dingo boot

So far I have 3 pairs. One pair for work, a brown pair of ariat ramblers for casual wear, and a pair of elephant skin exotics. I'm looking for a black pair.
Great topic, JC! I was curious to see what your "ideal" number would be. What resonated with me from my experience was, like you said, after you get your "starter set" and start interacting with boot enthusiasts, then the sky's the limit! Me? Well, my first recent pair (I had a pair of lizard-toed Naconas 40 years ago - my first and only pair of cowboy boots long since discarded) was a pair of Tecovas Earls (bourbon). They fit well and I was proud to wear them out and about. Then it was like, "Well, now let's try some cowboy style cowboy boots." So I got some Tecovas Cartwrights (chocolate) with the higher, slanted heel. Lo and behold, they worked for me, too. (Boot count: 2) Then, watching your videos, I got turned on to Luccheses. Bought three pair (Clints, Brandons, Craytons). In the meantime, I wanted to try a square-toed boot and I needed some black boots to wear with dark pants/slacks, so I got some Tecovas Jacksons (midnight calf). (Boot count: 6) Then, since I didn't have any suede boots, I got some Tecovas Johnnys (honey). (Boot count: 7) Since there are only seven days in the week, I figured I was good to go with seven boots. That was until you started raving about Chisos boots and hanging out with Raul. Shit. $495? It took me a while to pull the trigger, but my Chisos #1s arrived today and, OMG, I had a spiritual experience when I put 'em on! These are the best fitting, most comfortable boots I own. (Boot count: 8) Now I'm thinking I need a pair of brown square-toed boots. The Tecovas Jackson is half the price of the Chisos #2 but, damn, these Chisos are lovin' up on my feet right now. So I see my boot count soon hitting 9. How many boots should anyone own? That's a moving target for each of us. How many boots do we really need? Maybe none, but pass me another beer and my credit card, JC.
I agree you can never have too many boots , I usually thin the herd every 3 years or so I have my favourite pairs that I wear and then my special pairs for occasions ! Plus I have 5 pairs of motorcycle boots as well, love your videos .

1 - ariat boots i use for work/farm 2 - cody james leather sole cuz i wanted to try the leather sole 3 - durango boots for winter becuase slightly warmer than ariats and have a nicer leather sole heres my budget collection only amounting to around $650
2 pairs Ariat, 2 Pair Tecova, 1 Pair Old Gringo’s, 1 pair Moonshine Spirit and I’m constantly on the prowl for new boots. It’s becoming a bit of an obsession. I now need some exotics, some Chiso’s maybe, some rough outs too. Yikes...
How’s it going… Absolutely love your videos. I am completely blind and the descriptions you give about your boots are absolutely great. I can tell what they look like without even being able to see them. What do you think of your fry roper boots? I have three pairs of cowboy boots but they all are leather soles. Are used to have a pair of harness motorcycle boots but had to get rid of them. I thought about going back and getting a harness boot again, but I just can’t decide. I kind of like the idea of the rope or boot. I don’t even wear regular shoes. All I wear is boots. My wife and daughter constantly make fun of me LOL but obviously it doesn’t change my mind.
I grew up in California, when I was 14/15 years old I bought a worn out pair of suade pair of cowboy boots. I had them resoled, and healed many times after that. I wore those boots to school, to work, wile I rode my bicycle, my Triumph 200cc Cub, drove my 1958 VW Baja Bug... I think those boots lived 9 lives.
1. Anderson bean cowhide brown 2. Anderson bean roughout tan 3. Anderson bean fish cigar 4. Rios of Mercedes chili shark brown 5. Rod Patrick gator black
... after I had my late fathers Lucchaese's related to fit me ( they are my ride or die, when I wear those I have him with me and I walk tall in those !) , but after that ,( they were my first pair of western boots) I was hooked! i look for second hand boots now, on ebay and other reseller sites and thrift shops and just have them resoled , makes 'em feel like new! :) I see a pair of unwanted good boots and I see the life they still have in 'em...
5 pair for daily rotation 3 pair that are almost worn out but I still use occasionally 2 pair exotics 2 pair dress boots I'm by no means done, always looking for a good deal on a pair. If I can buy a pair for what roughly equals a resole, it's a no-brainer.
I was looking at Whites boots. Direct competition to Wesco. They list two western boots Drover and Plainsman. I was ready to drop cash when i discovered they were about 7 pounds for the pair. My favorite pair (RIP was) 3 pounds for the pair.
@@amunderdog Good legsercise! My 19-inch Wescos are very heavy and obviously very tall, which makes them far too hot for four/five months of the year. Otherwise they're flawless, if rather maintenance-intensive: it takes a solid hour to clean and nourish them.
I've just bought 6 new pairs of boots over the last several months, 3 ariats, 2 dan post, and 1 Laredo. I previously only had 1 pair of Dan post and 1 pair of Laredo boots. Oh make that 7, because I forgot about the Justin Square toe boots that I bought
So I have 6 pair, 3 ostrich, one lizard, and two calfskin. One of the ostrich and the lizard are Tecovas, the others are Tony Lama and Justin's. Looking to add a natural Tecovas Jackson. Would have a Caiman but can't ship them to NY. I train horses and judge horse shows so I wear them all the time! Am I still a boot fanatic? LOL
Sounds like you are a fanatic just like me. Nothing wrong with that! Too bad they can't ship the caiman thats weird. I got my caiman in NY state. Hope they fix that soon
4 pairs 3 Ariats and 1 Double H 1- distressed brown ariat 1- heritage roughstock ariat 1- black leather ariat 1- brown double-h s#$@kicker Wanting some caiman tails soon
I bought my first pair in November 2021 from Rujo. Was to be my birthday gift to me. Those were black round toe. Now I have a pair of Tony Lama weathered goat square toe too. I love both of them. I have my eye on a 3 pair of 7 toe from Rujo. I'd love to find some boots at a thrift store too that would be awesome.
Great video. It’s like any hobby, once you are in and learning you want to experience more and differences. Fly-fishing rods, reels, pistols, rifles, horses, saddles, car enthusiasts, motorcycles, fountain pens… any other hobby has the same effect once you get into it knee deep :) Just got my first pair of boots thanks to this channel, I already know the next 3 I want to own and why. There is not rush though, boots are not going anywhere… Yes, 4 seems like a good number before splurging more :)))
I have 7 pairs of western boots. The reason for so many is some are exotic, such as, python, alligor, stingray, ostrich, lizard wingtip, shruken shoulder, and they are used for dress or going out. My leather cowhide boots are my everyday boots. Now with this many boots, I haven't bought any new ones in years. I feel with boots that they last as long as you want them to. If you clean them regularly and condition them often the boot leather, whether it is exotic or cowhide leather, will last for many many years. If you get them resoled as needed they will also last for years. It's all based on how you treat and take care of your boots.
I've never tried but I've been to the factory where they are made. They are made in the same place as Los Altos and YeeHaw Cowboy and from what I saw while I was there it is my opinion that they are worth their price tag. They make some beautiful boots.
Got a pair of Cuero rubber soles a while back to try out the western boot thing - they didn't want to break in and took a ton of stretching with a baseball bat. Revisited them after a few months and I guess conditioner and time made the leather relax. From there it was pretty obvious I was gonna build a little collection. Got some nice full quill ostrich lightly used for a good price, then some tan goat j toes, then some dark goat square toes. All I want now is something black, something bison with a rubber sole, and some day python belly. Good to have a mix of walking heels and fancier stuff. I like good gear so having a few pairs is a good investment, I should be able to rock some of these the rest of my life with a couple resole jobs. Handmade boots made from quality leather just plain make your day better. And your posture too.
Funny you say 4 is the sweet spot, I keep 4 in rotation. 1 everyday pair for at work. 2 worn out pairs for mowing, shoveling, running the tractor etc. And 1 dress pair. I only buy what I can walk into a tractor supply or rural king and buy that day. Justin's and Ariat's for me. Square toe only.😁
I own a pair of dress boots caimen, casual ostrich, and some plane Justin’s for around the house and anything else and that’s all I have but I will get more when I can
I got some corrall and double-h boots from a goodwill store for 20 dollars each and they are amazing they go from 300 to 500 dollars I've been wanting boots for years I get so many compliments they even ask are you a cowgirl lol. I wish I can say yes I never rode a horse in my life.
Hay Jeremiah, I like your guitar licks! I saw your Lucchese Rusty review. I'm interested in the suede rusty vs the suede roper or square toe Tecovas. Which would you favor? I have two pair of Tecovas and like both pair, but I'd like a more summery pair. These I'm sure would work on fire ants, most pit vipers, not sure about 2 and 4 legged ankle biters, though? What do you think? Sincerely, Billy T. In Alabamy
I’m on my third pair of cowboy boots but over all boots in general I probably have around 11 pair’s between moc toe boots steel and regular to doc martens to timberland pros people think I’m crazy because pretty much only wear boots
As many as you want dumb question since wen is ther a guideline on how many pairs of cowboy boots to own I wear a different pair every day for a few weeks sometimes I only wear one depends on the day if it’s wet I don’t wear 1200 dollar boots I wear cheaper ones but weird question
Found this channel a few days ago, and I really dig it. But I'm confused about the boots. Are they really comfortable? I've heard stories of cowboys mounting their horse to go to a bar just 10 yards away, because walking sucks in these boots. And with all that beautiful stitching, why do y'all hide it under your jeans? Sorry, I'm not american, so I'm quite clueless haha.
Hey! People have definitely had uncomfortable cowboy boots. The problem is that they are more difficult to find the right size. When you do get the right size and brand, there is nothing more comfortable than a cowboy boot. No lie!
Hay man, if you like the stitching, tuck 'em in, other people will probably like it too! I agree with you. I'd personally like to see more boots with shorts when it's hot! Billy T. In Alabamy
Shit, I just got into cowboy boots late 2019 and I’ve already bought 3 pairs. First was some Lucchese ostrich leg ansons, 2nd was ariat tycoons for work and fishing, and my third pair was some lucchese mad dog goats. I really like those red gators you got not to long ago, I’m thinking about getting some of those too. And you deserved that first pair of gators bro. 😂
I have 6 as of right now with a pair on order. Do I need that many, probably not but I like different looks, not necessarily the style of toes as 5 of mine are wide square. 2 Dan Post, 3 Ariat, 2 Corral. One of the Corral is on order. Well you know what, I don't have to justify how many boots I have a well as how many cowboy hats I have.....3 felt, 5 straw in case you all was wondering. UPDATE: I'm now at 8 and that's it.
Hey man I live in shitcago, I'm 51 years old, I dont wear gym shoes in geans I'm a grown man. I have over 10 pairs of boots. I have a job, the best are ostrich. But really its stingray. 👍
I was once told that the perfect number of boots is however many you have currently plus one. ;-)
SO TRUE! haha
This is my philosophy. That's how I've ended up with 40 pairs! 😂😂😂

heres my budget collection only amounting to around $650
2 pairs Ariat, 2 Pair Tecova, 1 Pair Old Gringo’s, 1 pair Moonshine Spirit and I’m constantly on the prowl for new boots. It’s becoming a bit of an obsession. I now need some exotics, some Chiso’s maybe, some rough outs too. Yikes...
As many as you have room for in your house: every style, every color, every height! I've got them all.
2 exotic
4 all leather
1 work pair
Wearing cowboyboots for over 40yrs now, my ideal number is 20 pair, when i had more pairs i couldn't wear them all time to time so i sold some.
Bootheads ! Can a round toe be cobbled into a snip???
If the toe has to stay round. What u think off the sole snipped ?
4:27 is what I say to myself before every boot purchase!
haha! It's a bad habit but rarely regrettable
Jeremiah Craig I agree!
I own 4 now, and I've said that for every pair. My first ones were the biggest "fuck it" pair because I knew nothing about how great they are.
Same!
Bought my first pair 4 months ago while traveling through Cheyenne, WY… just ordered my 5th pair online… there’s no going back 😅
How’s it going… Absolutely love your videos.
1. Anderson bean cowhide brown
2. Anderson bean roughout tan
3. Anderson bean fish cigar
4. Rios of Mercedes chili shark brown
5. Rod Patrick gator black
I have 8-9 pair. Love them all.
I Had 4 Paris At One Time. Guess You Should Own 7 Pairs Of Cowboy Boots - Wear One Pair A Day.
Love that idea! Really when it comes down to it, the more excuses to get more boots the better
... after I had my late fathers Lucchaese's related to fit me ( they are my ride or die, when I wear those I have him with me and I walk tall in those !) , but after that ,( they were my first pair of western boots) I was hooked! i look for second hand boots now, on ebay and other reseller sites and thrift shops and just have them resoled , makes 'em feel like new! :) I see a pair of unwanted good boots and I see the life they still have in 'em...
5 pair for daily rotation
3 pair that are almost worn out but I still use occasionally
2 pair exotics
2 pair dress boots
I'm by no means done, always looking for a good deal on a pair. If I can buy a pair for what roughly equals a resole, it's a no-brainer.
Ever tried anything by Wesco? Not really "cowboy" boots, but nonetheless quality with a certain panache
I have only had one at a time, maybe two if I bought a new pair and haven't completely worn the other one to pieces.
4 pairs
3 Ariats and 1 Double H
1- distressed brown ariat
1- heritage roughstock ariat
1- black leather ariat
1- brown double-h s#$@kicker
Wanting some caiman tails soon
Classic great choices! Love the exotics you have on the list
The Frye are aweome.. and the 3rd black boot.. what brand are they?
Boulet
@@JeremiahCraig Love them. How many black boots do you have so far?
I bought my first pair in November 2021 from Rujo. Was to be my birthday gift to me. Those were black round toe. Now I have a pair of Tony Lama weathered goat square toe too. I love both of them. I have my eye on a 3 pair of 7 toe from Rujo. I'd love to find some boots at a thrift store too that would be awesome.
I have over 50.... someone just commented that have 104! I’ve got some work to do!!!!
I believe if your not an extremist collector 5 will get the job done. 1 pair of work boots and 4 different pairs for different styles and occasions
Great video. It’s like any hobby, once you are in and learning you want to experience more and differences. Fly-fishing rods, reels, pistols, rifles, horses, saddles, car enthusiasts, motorcycles, fountain pens… any other hobby has the same effect once you get into it knee deep :)
Just got my first pair of boots thanks to this channel, I already know the next 3 I want to own and why. There is not rush though, boots are not going anywhere…
Yes, 4 seems like a good number before splurging more :)))
1:43 so true
It's slippy out there
I have 7 pairs of western boots. It's all based on how you treat and take care of your boots.
when you buy a new pair of boots do you get a belt to match with your boots
I did with my black boots but not with any other yet
All that you can afford is the correct answer for me. I can’t get enough. I love BOOOOTS!
A very profound question.
I love ur vids!!! What’s ur opinion on King Exotic Boots?
I've never tried but I've been to the factory where they are made. They are made in the same place as Los Altos and YeeHaw Cowboy and from what I saw while I was there it is my opinion that they are worth their price tag. They make some beautiful boots.
Thx!!! My fiancé n I ordered matching ostrich boots for our weddin. I was a lil nervous after dropping that kinda cash...
If given a choice. I will just collect as much as I like. Boots are just too beautiful. Like you said spiritual.
I have decided not to buy anymore boots...until the next pair I buy! 🤠
About 20 or more.......lol Many Lucchese ones and Tony Lama. Mostly exotic skins as well.
Awesome collection!
Sincerely,
Billy T. In Alabamy
I'm a New York gal. I love cowboy boots. I am going to try and stick to 4-5 pairs.
As many as you cannot afford TY for sharing
I have 20 pairs of Champion Attitude Boots. All custom made.
"I NEED TO HAVE ALL THE BOOTS" -Jeremiah Craig

You're on a roll! I'm enjoying introducing new colors into my lineup! It's fun to start expanding when you get the chance
6. 2 each for work, casual, and dress.
That's a perfect number
I have 6 as of right now with a pair on order. Do I need that many, probably not but I like different looks, not necessarily the style of toes as 5 of mine are wide square. 2 Dan Post, 3 Ariat, 2 Corral. One of the Corral is on order. Well you know what, I don't have to justify how many boots I have a well as how many cowboy hats I have.....3 felt, 5 straw in case you all was wondering.
UPDATE: I'm now at 8 and that's it.
More than five means I've gotta catch them all hahahaha
You know it! The tipping point!
Cowboy boots are happiness!!! How much happiness can you have??
Hey man I live in shitcago, I'm 51 years old, I dont wear gym shoes in geans I'm a grown man. I have over 10 pairs of boots. I have a job, the best are ostrich. But really its stingray. 👍
Thats what I'm talking about! Stingrays are tough!!
