Boolet comes from Québec in the city of st-Tite. It is the biggest cowboys boots company in canada the oldest north americain cowboy boots company to still be owned by the family. Boolet used to make military boots during the second World war. Boulet is a miracle there is not a single ranch in st-Tite, but people come from all over north America to the western festival and if you go there you might see that even the school principal has cowboy boots. Boulet is truly a national treasure!

All Boulet boots are hand made, the company was founded in 1933. And still family owned. LOVE my boulet boots

Boulet boots were my first pair of boots as well. They never let you down but it is a shame that they don’t promote their boots more. It would be awesome to see them expand their exotics beyond just the ostrich. Boulet makes a darn good boot but not near enough people know what they have to offer especially if you are looking for a well built non-Exotic pair of boots.

Love your passion for the boots... just picked up a pair the other day, and I haven't had a pair of boots for 25 years.... well cowboy boots that is.... Big fan of Asolo Hiking boots and Muck boots for work. But back to Boulet boots, I literally was blown away by the fit and finish of these. Went to a shoe repair shop in Jerome Idaho. It's a legit old school cowboy leather store... went in to buy a belt which they size and punch the holes in right there... kinda cool. I got looking at the boots on shelves. Then I asked him what he recommend and he had me pull my shoes off (Brooks) and he looked at my feet made a guess which was right and went and asked what I thought of square toed boots and I said "I like them the best". So he went and grabbed the boots and then he asked if I was right handed or left, he said the foot opposite of your dominate hand is your larger foot. And I put on the left boot and it fit like an absolute glove. Yes there will be some slight break in but the light pressure was completely around my foot equally. Felt like these were made for my feet... Very impressed. I said I would like to buy these off of you and he said, "I'd like to sell them to you!" lol
I ended up with model 2722 and I looked it up and it doesn't appear on the Boulet website so it must be a discontinued style. But retailers still have them online from what I could see.... I went with 3E and paid 366.00
    Absolutely love them!!

Went into the store today looking to get a pair of Anderson Beans and saw my new pair of Boulet boots next to them and slipped them on just to know what they felt like and I couldn't take them off. So glad I have heard so highly of this brand from you or I don't think I would have given them a second look. Fit is by far the best in my collection, I can't wait for them to break in.

Have had my Boulet black boots like yours for about 8 yrs still look like brand new. Keep them in the box when not wearing them and stuff them with paper to keep the shaft from falling and my shaft hasn't dropped at all or much keep your boots in there box when not wearing them to keep them looking great. Just a pointer on keeping your shaft from falling . Have watched your videos for a long time like your reviews. Love my Boulet boots and they where my 1st pair of boots also

As a Quebecer, my first pair of cowboy boots has been Boulet and I still wear them 10 years after. I agree with all you said. Especially their marketing. They really should upgrade their website and improve the French version. Which is appalling for a company settled in Saint-Tite, Québec! Another thing I don't like about Boulet right now is that they have less and less traditional models (cowboy or medium toes with cowboy heels). It's all about wide square toes and flat heels that I don't like.
I'm getting interested by Tecovas boots. Unfortunately, they don't ship in Canada... My favorite US brand is Lucchese, but they are getting very costy (over 400$ without lemonwood pegs or any pegging?!?). What is the quality of Dan Post? I like their models and their prices seem reasonable.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  3 роки тому +1

I had no idea they were slacking on the French version of their site! Dan Posts have been hit or miss. Leather stacked heels are a must from them and sometimes their soft strike insole can be fragile. The black soft strike is nice though

They recently updated their website so quebecers can buy online like Americans but the selection is very limited. I agree with you on their lack of traditional styles. I gotta say their factory is ancient as hell so their online presence being limited isn’t surprising. They are very old school. ua-cam.com/video/4i8Vk3oOj4g/v-deo.html

Bought my first pair last week for myself for my birthday, they fit well, but I haven’t worn them out yet. I’m a diehard Nocona’s fan. I believe the model number is 1828. I emailed them and asked them if they could re-manufacture a pair of the model number 3000 for me but they said they no longer have the material. I was very satisfied with that answer and very satisfied with their quick response to my email. Enjoying your videos.

Hey Jeremiah. I have a pair of 9502's, Yep Black, same as yours in the video.I bought them new for about $89 Cdn back in June of '95. I bought them because they fit like a glove, and they were black all around. I wore them for about a year, and then they sat..... for 25 yrs. 14 years of riding Motorcycles and not being able to find a decent pair of riding boots, I dusted off my Boulets and took them down to the cobblers in May of '22 and for $167 bucks, he took off the leather sole cap and heel cap and put on the Vibram Lug sole and heel on each of them. So now my 9502s have a new life of
being Motorcycle boots. I treat them with Dubin when I remember, to keep them water proof.
What I would like to see is Boulet make a square toed MC boot with the same Vibram lug sole, and that same snug fit.
And yes, I am wearing them as I type this message.

Case in point, I recently had to return/exchange a pair of boots - I contacted them via e-mail (here is the slow part - e-mails are not responded to immediately it took a day for them to respond) and they were able to walk me through their exchange process, set up the RMA and enter a new order to complete the exchange (unfortunately, the boots I wanted in exchange were not in stock and took about 4 weeks to ship).

I have two pairs of Boulet boots model 7031 and 7032. My wife brought them to the cobbler to have them resoled. It was our first time using this guy because our old guy closed shop. The guy asks my wife if she wants them "waterproofed" she thought that would be a good idea so she said sure. When she picked them up she was mortified. Waterproofing means a rubber sole which is totally defeating the purpose of these beautiful dress boots. I tried them on and the guy pulled them so tight I couldn't wear them so I tossed them in the closet where they've sat for the last 5 or 6 years. I've been thinking of trying to find another guy to redo these but it seems almost impossible to find the right cobbler in the area of the state that I live in. To make matters worse, Boulet discontinued these boots. Why, I have no idea. They are the one of the best looking and wearing boots they made. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.

To add to your point about their marketing: their website is very binary, their models have no names just product numbers, and it's tough to search by style or material. I am totally blind, so if I'm looking online I rely heavily on product descriptions to help paint pictures of what I'm looking at, and potentially putting my money on. I'm also Canadian, and would love to support a local bootmaker like Boulet. Jeremiah, would you consider making a video about Boulet numbering designations, Or is there not really any logic to their model numbers. Nevertheless, thanks for the hard work you put into making videos, I know it takes a lot of prep to do so.
