I have seizures and I do NOT know they are coming on. So I'm screwed. So people have to tell me that I am having a seizure or have had one. I have to show this video to my mom. I am considering having this. Then talk to my neurologist about it. She suggested it

Thank you so much for the education on the VNS stimulator. It was a very informative and educational experience that I needed.

Amazing!!!.. This video has basically answered so many of my concerns. Thank you so much. The one thing that I have an issue with is the length of time it would take the body to adjust to the stimulator. Overall , I have learned a lot of valuable information.

Imagine that VNS machine stopping a seizure before it starts. It’ll be great if I’m allowed to have it done. I feel my seizures coming on. It starts with my eyes moving fast, then my muscles tighten up then my face starts twitching. If it’s a bad one my whole body starts moving. I’m tired of having those stupid things and feeling depressed and tired after a bad one passes. Lately I’ve been having them about once a month something like that. I would give anything to go years without any seizures.

Depressed also, this is the only surgery I can get, because it's not isolated, it's all over my brain. IM more tired than you know. 30 years now, and no one to look after me. Great luck to you.

Have you experienced any problems with your VNS device?
I have been suffering severe pain, more headaches and more seizures for years.
I have asked for the device to be removed, now I am demanding that the neurologist refer me to a neurosurgeon to remove the device.
The company technician J***, and several neurologists have documented the complications that they have had with my device. My settings are high and seizures have increased.

I started having tonic-clonic seizures in college and ended up in the my local Milwaukee hospital hooked up to a EEG. I felt good and felt trapped in bed hook to this contraption. Being annoyed and bored I started reading the Wall Street Journal. Next thing I know I get attacked by doctors and nurses insisting my EEG says I am having a seizure. Is it possible that reading the Wall Street Journal while in college causes seizures?

The device hurts and doesn’t help.

I have had epilepsy since I was 13 and I'm 32 now. I have just had the vns surgery done on Thursday. I'm abit sore and my throat feels abit raspy. But after 2 weeks I will have the vns turned on, I'm nervous about it but so far so good. Just take pain killers for the discomfort after surgery in your kneck and chest.

Please be very careful with the VNS device.
Always be sure to ask your doctor and company representative how many patients have they treated and how many patients have severe problems.
I still take medication and this device doesn’t work.
