    Why does Keto work? 24:00
Because the glucose storage in the brain gets replaced by keytones, and keytones regulate the brain excitory neurons. In most cases seizures are caused from a surge of glucose in the brain and not enough GABA.

I also think it's odd that people don't connect the dots. If increasing fat and therefore ketone mmols in the blood reduces seizures, isn't it obvious that ketones are the ones making the difference?

l want to know if it is possible to have a seizure when changed to soon from eating Keto diet to eating lots of desserts and carbs???
That happened to me twice and want to know if the seizures can be trigger because of the changing to soon of fuel to the body, from fat to glucose burner???
    Thanks!

It may take 5 years to you but someday, The body will have more Ketone buildup and it will strengthen the brain nerves just like every other person.

But the keto diet is very healthy , possibly The most healthy of diets- just make sure you keep up electrolytes ( salt magnesium potassium) and you’ll be fine - I fortunately don’t have epilepsy but know someone who has it but I do this diet plus periods of fasting ( 2-3 days) and feel amazing -no it’s a myth that it effects your overall health adversely perpetuated by food and drug industry just keep up electrolytes

You do not NEED carbs in your diet.
Is you have near zero in your diet your body is forced to turn fat to produce energy. So fat is gone.
I find protein much better than carbs for producing energy.
Bowl of stewed beef and I am ready to get up and work.
After a bowl of mashed potatoes I am sluggish and ready to take a nap.
