Gorgeous. You are so skilled.
Thanks so much!
I love the green, and that Spencer is chef's kiss!!
Thank you so much! 💚
I love the sleeve details. And your lovely doggo
Thank you! 💚
This is so beautiful! I love this colour 🙂
Thank you! 💚
Hi, first time here, really enjoyed your video.. Lots of ideas now spring to mind.. my only small comment, is the music, a little loud, i could not hear you. You have a nice clear voice..
Thank you! And yes, I was struggling with figuring out volume of music to voice back on this video, sorry about that! I've since gotten it figured out thankfully, and I hope to keep improving my editing skills
Lovely! 💚💚💚
Thank you! 💚
It's super cute! Love the green velvet, the interfacing worked so well to negate the stretch! I was gifted a bunch of panné velvet but it's not really something I wear any longer but now I think I could use it with this technique!
Thank you! Yeah, it really worked out, I love this jacket! The interfacing makes it easier to handle for sure
@@AbiSueCostumes I want to do a full Regency redingote for Winter wear so I love seeing how people's Spencer jackets come together as that's half a redingote!
@@fatsparrowsewing oh yes definitely! I want to make a Regency pellisse jacket, I even have some suede that I think would work, I just have to get around to it 😂
I'm starting on my history bounding wardrobe, and I am *about* the spencers! I wanna Make a bunch of them! I am not going for historical accuracy, im going to wear my items, daily! So I'm going to make what I like and what I want.
That sounds amazing! Spencers are so fun to wear, I def might make another, and I may even wear them with my modern stuff
where do you look for matching coloured gloves? what are your gloves made from?
These ones are leather that I made, I bought the leather on eBay, it's lambskin. I have a video for the gloves: ua-cam.com/video/ibjYb-JnfDU/v-deo.html
@@AbiSueCostumes wow I’ll check it out
how did you avoid crushing the velvet when pressing? it doesn't look like you were using a needle board or similar
I didn't use a needle board, the pile is pretty short so it doesn't bother it to press like this. I don't iron from the outside ever, I would use a press cloth for that. But really, it's stretch velvet, ironing or pressing it doesn't crush it, I've tested it before. I'm sure the heavier velvets would not be the same.
Amazing work!
Thanks so much! 💚
What a beautiful Spencer! That green is perfect on you and the sleeves....and the collar...sigh....so well done! Diana sure is a good helper! She keeps an eye on everything, doesn't she? Looking forward to more of your projects! - Kelley
Thank you so much! And she definitely does, she's quite the helpful pupper 😄💚
it's interesting to see with the regency era being so heavily influenced by classical greek/roman they're also taking inspiration from italian renaissance with those sleeves
Yes! There's so much inspiration from past fashion in the Regency era, I love it! I've actually started research into Italian Renaissance haha, I really want to make one of those now!
yay boobtastic! hehe The tea is a great touch!
Yuuuus, teatime UA-cam edition! 💚😄
