Which head kick is your favorite setup?
My favourite is the rear hand fake into rear leg headkick (Leon Edwards style)
Icy Mike's 😏
Allof'em!
👊😎
All great stuff, but the one I've pulled off the most is Fazen's. Condition low to one side with rear leg a few times, then swing it around to the other side unexpectedly. Works great as a hook kick, but you can also do an outside crescent kick or hatchet kick depending on other factors.
The one that comes from an actual pro that is combat tested.
It's not impressive that Icy Mike did a cartwheel kick in his demo. It's impressive that he made contact so gently with it. Respect
Yep!!! 💯
Saenchai would be proud lol
right lol he just baby-touched him like a str8 OG lmao. Then he did the shoulder brush. Hoping within the next 10 years we see him cornering UFC fighters and coaching them. He's on that level if not beyond it tbh.
@@rootapt-getworld uh
Omg Gabriel's kick is so clean.
What I learned today was icy mike likes to do it from the back .
Well we all know what type of guy Mike is now😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's an adesanya fan
😂😂😂crackup
Gabriel is the calmest yet the most dangerous guy on the team, Sensi Seth's expression tells it all 😮
That looked like a knockout kick up until the last few inches. That guy has some serious control.
I feel like I'm going to be watching these videos for years to come!
4:55 the fluidity of athletes at the highest level is absolutely insane, that kick was 👌👌
All these guys are great, but Gabriel is on a whole another level.
you can see it on Seth's face, Gabriel's technique is so clean
Just watch Seth’s face during demonstration because he’s reactions are so great! Thanks for the awesome video guys❤️
He has the best facial reactions!!
I always love when martial artists make collaboration videos. All you guys are rock!
Thank you!
Ed seems to have better than average peripheral vision he's taking advantage of in his "I just do it" style of head kicking.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
You guys are the dream team together ❤️ Thanks for awesome vibes. A big reason martial arts has always been a safe haven 🙏
There's so many good setups here.
Yep! 🔥🔥
No offense, but I'm here because I'm a fan of Gabriel and Shane, but man, seeing you guys together looks so fun! Sharing each other's ideas and all that. I wished I had mates like that.
My tip: as a shorter guy (5'9" is short, now lol) I can't get always get head kicks with roundhouse or sides, but a front snap is always reliable. Throw hooks and crosses, maybe a couple roundhouses, to get them to keep the hands up, which leaves a nice lane right down the middle for the front snap.
Front snap is probably the most underrated kick in martial arts
@@basedbane787 yeah without a doubt it is
Thanks for sharing!
Michael Chandler style
yes Front Kick, Snap Kick or Skip Kick down the middle. Round Kick is harder to land on a trained fighter. Plus they can catch it more easily..
I have to say seeing so many of my beloved MA UA-camrs together is a bit surreal kudos to who ever came up with the idea it has worked out great
Man all of these videos with you guys collabing is just fantastic
I love that you guys colab, I started watching most of you separately a few years ago and seeing all of you come together so often is really nice. Keep it up!
That was great to see a variety of counters and I know that having someone switch out with height size would give the student a more depth of understanding on how to use their martial art in a comprehensive way.
The balance these guys have makes me jealous 😭I sometimes struggle with my balance after a 1-2 leg kick
Practise it more (on the bag/ partner)
so helpful the one where you pull their guard down just worked for me twice
Thank y’all so much love all your videos full of so much knowledge!
Amazing content Kevin! Thank you for your great influence in the martial arts.
Just found your channel, this is great! Excited to watch more!
Wholesome vibes in a martial arts video! Very informative thank you guys 🤙
This was very helpful guys. Thank you.
Such a great video I keep coming back to this
I appreciate these collaborations so much it’s absolutely amazing.
Fun time collabs..... this is my favourite group of masters on UA-cam.
Great format!
Love the atmosphere training...keep it up
Guys, thank you so much for these videos. Each and everyone of you could rip the head of most human beings. And yet all of your content is made with respect and admiration for each others´ skills, wanting to learn from each other in good sportsmanship, without unnecessary ego or over over-the-top theater that you find elsewhere on UA-cam.
Your videos represent everything I love about martial arts, self defense and combat sports.
Very good video. Thanks for sharing.
The video I been needing, working on this in the gym rn, trying to figure out my set ups now that I got my technique good enough to string together strikes
5:00 - i used it so many times
so funny to watch! you seem to be having such a blast together!!!
Thanks from Argentina
1:30 Thats a really interesting kick. Ima call that one the "Pendulum Stopper" or "Pendulum Twist Kick"
This was dooooope. Cool to see how martial arts brings the news team together!
love this crowd. i can't believe gabriel varga joined the videos.
These round tables are awesome!
Awesome!!! now the kickassverse is complete!!!
So what’s next?
That was great....the last one from Seth was awesome
I love this team up.
What a great video! I can’t wait to try these techniques out on my kids.
Super informative video
Can you guys do a special on clinching?! I have a PKB in a month!
Y’all got the whole squad
Great tips from everyone 🤙.......@2:16🤣🙌
Really got all the collaborators for this one nice, now let's see who wins a battle royale!
Awesome video!
Icy Mike did have a bit of a point. Something I have done in sparring when people started timing my set ups for head kicks, I just stopped setting them up.
I love Seth trolling ed with trapping! Honestly though in my karate dojo we do a lot of trapping which is common for traditional karate but dropped by most sport karate dojos.
Good stuff guys
Everybody did pretty much rear leg headkick... However one of the most successful (at least for me) headkicks is lead leg from short range: tempt opponent for body shot and headkick them! This requires more mobility and isn't as powerfull but it's very surprising.
Setup Gabe showed works great. Been using similar setup for years. 9/10 times it lands :)
So much fun watching Seth's reactions of others techniques xD
This is great content guys, kind of feel like a robbery not paying for this knowledge, I will check this before sparring and attempt all of them eventually.
Thank you.
Guys are absolutely awesome😎😂♥️🙏
Looking at everyone's reactions to other people's kicks like, damn I might have to steal that🔥🔥🔥🔥 short, simple, yet effective 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Really appreciate all these guys but seems like Gab's technique sharings are always the most applicable because he has been "battle-tested" in many combat organisations, and fighting VERY high-level guys like Sitmonchai and Lerdsila.
I love the one sensei Seth showed I do it all the time when I spar
Me too!
Oh wow! Even Gabe Vega is down with your UA-cam martial arts crew. Cool.
I made the same face seth did when gabriel throws the head kick....so fast with total control
I'm not much for head kicks anymore, but on the exceedingly rare occasion I do throw one its almost always on the way out, after doing inside work at clinch/trapping range, maybe after a shove or a shoulder blow (like in bajiquan).
old icy Mike hanging out with some killers and some UA-cam gs. You've come a long way 😄
I tend to use more karaté trapping, Aerts faking but I love icy Mike set up: this one was pretty new to me
I got one quite similar to mike's but not as dramatic. I like to throw the outside low kick and then put that foot down a 90 degree angle from their body and go straight into the other leg high kick from their side Just a big, quick angle change to set up the headkick. You can also set up the spin by stepping the other way but it's harder.
I do vs technique but use straight right as blinder to eyes bringing roundhouse immediately behind it set up with left JAB step to left in unison 1 23 works everytime mostly 👊
Bruh, Gabriel has such a sharp roundhouse 👌🏾
One day I will train my legs to be as smart as my hands 😩
The last kick is exactly like the traditional yoko-gheri. Soo do it like a back kick is more fast and powerful, but traditional has some athoer function 😎
Very Nice
Thank you!!
Kevin... You gettin the subscribe. Looking forward to more vids bro. Keep it up
Thanks for the sub!!
Need Scott Adkins up there next
Mike literally so sussy on this vid, like after making an out of context back thing, he literally "bumped" kevin lol.
Such a gold mine for content as always
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
SO MUCH LEARNED WHEN EGO IF LEFT AF THE DOOR. Y'ALL GENTLEMEN ARE ONTO SOMETHING
🙏👍
@@fighttips Shane you was probably one of the first UA-camrs that made martial arts functional for street fighting. I remember black hoodie Shane 😆 🤣 😂. Keep up the good work my brother, much growth to you and I say keep growing.
Savate is great for kicking with shoes on..
I love Savate!
@@KevinLeeVlog me too. Savate and JKD..
Sifu. I think Lyte Burly should be joining your group sessions. He's really good.
Why thank you very much!
Thank you!
I want this collab to go on and on :)
Head kicks should have the same sound effects like how head shots are in video games. 🤣
I should had added the sound effect!
Is it possible
to get all of these videos in a playlist?
Coach Mike is talking bout rousey vs holmes
@2:31 he even takes a look at seth 🤣
This is like the avengers gathering of UA-cam martial arts
Ed rocking that emo Tobey Maguire hairstyle there
This comment 😂😂😂😂
Again, you can see that Icy Mike is having the time of his life with all these guys around.
Don't forget the old get them to slipping crosses to slipping into a high kick
everyone is going to RKM... Icy mike is the man. lmao
Shout out to Peter Aarts!! The Lumberjack!!
Some great tips from all of you but Gabe has frightening robot like precision with every little detail.
Very true!!
