  • The iconic series 3 Land Rover arrives at Down At The Barns, this 1976 model is the last of the series Land Rovers and contains a lot more plastic than the previous models but is the most common type, Nick takes us through how Eco Classics plan to covert this land beast into electric, making it an eco friendly off road vehicle .

    This is an interesting one, steering is probably the relay, getting them out can be a challenge , with the sort of performance you are putting in it is there going to be something done with the brakes?
    It would have originally had a LT76 gearbox, the LT230 transfer box is a good choice, they are used on the earlier V8 Auto Range rovers, they can whine a bit though, and the input splines wear (though I expect Ashcroft will have fitted a long spline cross drilled input gear).
