Top tip If you are doing this again! once you come out of Fionn Loch and had skirted Lochan Beannach Beag go straight ahead at Strathanmore for a few km and pop out above Loch Maree. You then could explore the Loch Maree islands (in particular Isle Maree) then make your way down the loch to enter the River Ewe at Inveran. You then leave out that trog around the foot of Beinn Airigh Charr. Total respect on coming down the river and again an awesome video!
Hi Ewen, Will need to get the map back out! 😁👍 We had actually planned to get in Loch Maree further back but we’d gotten short on time. Thanks for the tip, will look into it for the next visit. 😁👍
So many options there. I did see you had a Loch Maree video up previously so you had probably done a bit of what I had suggested. The rafts look very impressive bits of kit.
Great video, thanks for sharing. I was one of the guys staying in the bothy that night. Incredible light at sunsight. Canoeing out looks a great idea. Might try it next time I visit.
Hey Annie, I was smiling when I opened that file and that shot appeared. We actually didn’t realise the water was that still from our level. This was a great trip overall. Thanks for watching! 😄🙏🙌
Hello again. As always with your videos.. fantastic content with background music to make feel as though your there yourself. You pair of adventures have a great lifestyle you take us to some breathtaking locations. Never once have i not been blown away with your travels. Keep up the fantastic work cos i love your videos. All the very best to you both. 👍
Nice trip D&L! Especially liked the white water at the end. I did a similar trip in from Poolewe a couple of years ago by MTB into the two westerly Munros in Fisherfield. It was a 12 hr epic with rain most of the day turning the burns into raging torrents on the way back. The closest I’ve come to drowning on a river crossing! 😱 I’m now busy bagging Corbetts and having extreme days like climbing Tower Ridge. Weather this August and September has been pants! Take care on the hills. K
Wow David I counted 2 deliberate collisions from the crazy lady in the yellow boat ! Stunning drone footage emphasised the remoteness of that amazing landscape. Fantastic video as always guys, made my day. Take care till next time
Lovely film of a wonderful area. The packrafts give it a completely different feel. I had to have a look at the map to see your route between the lochs. The last time I was there I walked over to Letterewe and got picked up in a boat from The Loch Maree Hotel and earlier this year walked from Poolewe to the boathouse and back, great to see it all again from a different perspective. Cheers.
Fantastic video, One of my favourite areas, last time I camped at the same place, we had a night of thunder -but it never rained! having breakfast in the morning the black-throated divers came right in to see what we were! Many thanks for sharing as your video brought back many very happy memories. ATB
Stunning guys 😎👍 What a way into Fisherfield. The colours on A'Mhaighdean matching your tent.... Ooooft 👌 A video deserving of being up oan ma big telly 😉
Brilliant David and Lisa. I was curious to see how you were going to blow up the rafts! The pump sacks made much more sense than the ideas rolling through my head 😂 Brilliant scenery and beautiful footage as always. Cheers! Kris.
What a lovely video! The scenery is simply gorgeous. Can I ask what make of packrafts you use? I am thinking of going down this route myself. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi David, thanks for your message! No bulkheads in them no. You can get bags to put inside the boat to store kit in these stop your stores gear from wearing on the materials. (Inside the tube so to speak). D&L
Beautifully put together as always! You take such trouble to get these shots of both of you it's almost like you had a separate film crew along, but it must take time and disrupt your flow where I'd just want to keep going...
Hi Peter , Thank you very much for your kind comment! 😊🙏 Yes filming takes a bit of extra effort but we’re getting better at spotting the shots we want and getting them done!
Only just discovered you guys, but what a great video to start with! I've not been to that part of the Highlands since we had a week in a cottage at Poolewe in the early 1980s, so long overdue a re-visit!
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 My 18 yr old daughter and I managed some bits and pieces in Glencoe last summer, but I got a bad dose of Covid in January, and had something resembling a mild stroke in April, so am a long way from hill fit at the moment, but videos like this inspire me to get back to the glory days :)

Fantastic film and that sunset was stunning. Curious to know the reference to Celtic on your paddles, is that their name or is it reference to the football club?
Thanks Robert. Actually I can’t really remember. I don’t remember it being a big push though. Really all depends on the wind. Worth the effort though. 😊👍
@@ruairidhalexander7631 I see. We’d left them where we got out whilst we recce’d somewhere to pitch. The pitch was only a short distance as you’ll have seen in the drone footage.
