Thrilling adventure! 🏔 The Ledge Route on Ben Nevis looks incredible. Thank you friend for sharing such stunning views and an epic scramble! We join your channel! Big like 👍
Hi Lisa, Hi Dave, absolutely, well done, it takes some bottle does that. The Ben is amazing, how one mountain can be so different from one side to another, superb. Thanks for sharing your day with us, it’s much easier watching than I bet it was doing. 🤣 All the best guys. 😀⛰🥾🏕️🏴🏴
The confidence in Lisa is superb David! When you know you have the skills, experience and physical ability to achieve these routes. Then there are great adventures to be had👏
Hi D&L, I'm a bit late to this one but enjoyed the trip and stunning filming as usual. I can see the ropes coming out soon if you two keep going with this scrabbling malarky 👍👏👏👏 Take care. Cheers
Another one of your videos that has that wee feel good factor as you watch it. Sat and watched it last night with my Good Lady and she is in awe of your Lisa for making this look so easy . Great wee vid again 👍 👏
Brilliant when people say how it makes them feel. Lisa’s really gripped it and has found a new love for pushing things a little more. She’s certainly growing. 😊👍
Wow that looked brilliant, hats off to the both of you 👍 Think I would get lost trying to get up that 😂 but it looked fun..👍 It's always good to know there is an easy path back down, I wouldn't like trying to come back down that. Looking forward to your next adventure 😍
Bloody hell, I still haven’t had the courage to go across the Arête and you pair climb straight up the north side. 😀. Well done and another cracking video 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I will say it again, you two are absolutely radio rental but I love it . Very dodgy under foot higher up , one wrong move and yer toast. I love watching your videos they are brilliant, give you a real sense of being there ❤. Cheers James
Hi James, hahaha 🤣😂… we’ll take that as a compliment. There were a few ice patch’s to be careful of but on the whole it wasn’t too bad on that day. Thank you very much for watching our videos, makes the effort of producing them worthwhile. 😊🙏🏴❄️
Hi Guys. Love the shot at 01:35 of the lone tree & the Ben ( & Lisa of course ). You must like it too as you ended with it ! Amazing route up that I'm not familiar with, can't even say I've seen any UA-cam videos of it. Wonderful evocative 'cronk' of the Raven too - always adds to the atmosphere of these wild places. Drone footage superb once again. Thanks for sharing, take care till next time.
Hi Michael, that picture turned out super.. iPhone, point and press job! No skill involved lol 📸 The route is one of two up, that’s the easiest option. Thank you once again for watching our wee movies. 😊🙏
Great video and showed me what I missed when I did it many years ago. Clagged in all the way from the car park! The North face is an intimidating place but still stunning. The walk up to the but is good in winter too. Thanks Dave
Just found your channel and so enjoying all your journeys. Nevis was my late husband’s favourite climb and following your journey up was a joy. Your pristine camera work and unobtrusive music make for a very, very enjoyable experience. Keep doing what you are doing and rekindle my love for my country.❤
Well done both of you, especially Lisa who has really overcome her fear of heights over the last few years. Looked touch and go with some of that icy ground in summer boots. You’ll have to give it a go in winter conditions proper. 👏👏
Stunning footage, so much work goes into that I'm sure. Did the CMD arete 6 years back but doubt I'd have the nerve (or the route finding skill) for that. Great work.
Did you say it was a crow? It was very much a raven. Great walk. I've done Carn Mor Dearg arete route which you showed us nicely, a couple of times about 30 years ago, but never your route.
Loved that guys👍 hoping to do ledge route next year, so it was good to see how you got on. Great edit and music choice. If you don’t mind me asking, what holder is that Lisa’s got on her front harness, looking for something like that to hold my drone while hiking. ATB Frank
Hi Frank, thank you. 😁👍 It’s actually just a Passenger bag. Fits the drone and controller nicely. We normally carry inside our kit but was just quicker to hook it on for this one. www.passenger-clothing.com/collections/mens-backpacks-bags/products/recycled-polyester-hip-pack-multi-colour
Another cracking video D and L.Drone shots were spot on😃👏👏 Would like to attempt it sometime.after I get the round done.Is it straightforward enough to find the start after the CIC Hut?😃
Hi Andy, thank you. 😊🙏 Yeah the route is actually not too bad to find from the CIC. You just need to stick to the right of the watercourse. You’ll see the path. 👍👍
I’ve never been there myself but that looked like An interesting route up there,I bet it was really steep & tricky in places especially when your seeing the bigger picture 🖖
We walked up to the mountaineers hut a few months ago.....then had lunch (ok, a sandwich)....and then came back :-). A very pretty place but the north side is very intimidating.
Ueli Steck. "If i do a mistake. I die." Personal preference, on some parts of that route I would say a rope, helmet and a walking axe might not go amiss (crampons if it's snowing and icy). That's a route where other lives been claimed and not for the 1st or last time - it's a case of 8000/8000 steps need to be perfect.
It always gives me the fear. What would happen if the mist came down, it started to snow/rain heavily or the dins got high when you were in these areas?
Hi Rab, yeah you never know with Scottish weather but a little planning ahead does the trick normally. For this route it’s quite linear so it’s either up or down. This tricky part is actually the top, getting off in poor conditions may be an issue but if you can navigate it’s not really a major problem. Having confidence in your skills and risk management abilities will certainty address that fear. That’s the way we see it anyway. Thanks for watching and messaging. 😁🙏 D&L 😁👍
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 Thanks for the response. It looks amazing and I take my hat off to you both for doing it. I am still new to hill walking and could only dream of doing something this difficult at the moment.
