Your A-TM stock really is quite a bit lighter than the one I just recieved, but it actually looks quite nice! I just put the B-TM stock on my Ruger 10/22 as well. These really are a great bit of kit! Thanks for the video!
Im lucky to have got an all stainless folder original made it 1985 with original stainless magazines as well. 2 30s and one 40! Next to mint. Best thing was the price, $550.00, guy didn't have a clue what he had. Got it about 2 years ago. Even has the original sling.

Ruger actually supplies the wood for these stocks. That is why the backorder wait times are sometimes long. Samson has to wait for Ruger to send them the wood stocks for these folding stocks. I received my order today in a little over 3 weeks after being told that the wait time would be around 3 - 4 months. That was a very pleasant surprise. The stock I received is darker in color and it looks fantastic. They really fit the Mini-14 and Mini-30 perfectly.
Hi Richard.having problem installing my trigger assembly back to my stock.video was turned off when you pressing the trigger assembly.could you tell how did you do it?ty
the stock went right on in seconds I can’t get the sling loops on like Samson told me without grinding some metal somewhere. I bought the SS Uncle Mike quick release but to no avail. What’s your advice my friend.?
This is probably the only reason I would buy a Mini 14 or 30. Not much point in owning one besides the A-Team coolness.
The Mini-14 has come along way from its 80's production and accuracy issues. Back then, just coolness, but it would explain why the A-Team never hit darn thing. Nowadays, I've been quite impressed by new production accuracy and reliability. Of course, nothing beats an AR.
I like this gun. It's solid, old skool and reliable. A steam punk world piece of art. I have my A-TM Stock in its box in a safe. If I put it on I become an outlaw and the Mini becomes housebound. Until one of three things happen: 1) I move; 2) The Supreme Court intervenes, or; 3) civilization and the rule of law (in my state) collapses. I think #1 is not far away. Thank you for the video.
I just purchased mine through: ShopRuger. I know there are two versions of this folding stock a light wooden color as the one presented on this video however the folding stock through ShopRuger is much darker in the wooden color, both folding stock are Ruger authorize and built for Ruger mini 14 -.223/.556
Very nice. Replace that ugly heat shield with a M14 style heat shield. Yes the op rod is exposed, but you get that clean M14, M14 look. I had to cut mine a bit to fit, but it looks and feels world's better
Interesting video, I remember that gun from the A Team
They received a lot of complaints about the light colored wood. And unfortunately instead of offering different variations in color they basically went to all dark wood. Which I wish they wouldn't have done

Spec says this is 4 lbs. ~2lbs heavier than wood stock. Does it balance well?
It balances very well for me, prefer it to the wood or the synthetic
Hi Richard, I bought a stock from Samson and have it together and I put the trigger group in the rifle and I can’t get it all the way back, the same problem you had, can you tell me what you did to get it in.
Make sure you haven’t left the heat shield in place from the original stock, it isn’t needed in the Samson one

6:26 you can just not use all the pieces and the rifle still works?
There is already a heat shield fixed inside the Samson stock so the one you see me remove is not needed

Get online to Samson mfg and order but you're gonna have a 6 month wait as I ordered 2 back in July and will still have a MINIMUM of 3 more months and they're 294.98 w/shipping unless you want to pay a lot more and get on gun broker.com they from 400-600 as I won the bid on 2 one I paid 430 w/shipping and the other one I paid 650.00 w shipping and the 2 I ordered I'll just stash em and see what happens.
Sean berthiaume Agreed, I have heard that the main choke point is Ruger, Samson can make the metal work fast enough but they have to wait for the wood which is being supplied to them by Ruger

So you were running it without a heat shield?
John Doe I am not sure what you mean by a heat shield? If you are talking about the upper hand guard, it is fitted
@@rwalker900 The factory minis all come with a metal heat shield under the top shield.
If you are talking about the piece I removed at 6.36 there is already one fitted to the Samson stock which is why it wouldn’t fit when I first tried to put it together

After the 1986 FBI Miami shootout in which one of the bad guys had a mini 14 with the side folding stock is when it was discontinued

How long did it take Samson to ship the stock?
I got mine within a month but it was through their international division so may have different stock levels. I do know they were taking on more staff to fill orders and much of the delay was on Rugers side as they are supplying the wood
Wow yours is much lighter than mine.
I know, mine does seem to be lighter than many, but there is a huge difference between stocks that I have seen from Samson

Now Ranline in like 1985 to1993 was making a stock that look like the Ruger stock thats the one i still have and use i have it on my new Ruger Mini14 .i like the Ruger Mini 14 but i go to the AR 15 and back to the Ruger Mini14 the Mini 14 has never stop on me, now this stock has been on 4 Mini 14 now ,

@@rwalker900 yes, they keep telling me they are working on the backorders but won't give me any time frame.
I think I must have been lucky to get it through their international division. It is worth the wait though as it is a great piece of kit, the stock is definitely pale though so don’t expect the original coloring
8 months for me. I just got an email from them yesterday saying my shipment was ready and I called today to finalize my order.
