If you're a fan of old school looks, Accuracy Systems has a walnut handguard that exactly matches the color and finish of that stock. It really looks sharp.
We must be the same age. I had an Adam 12 lunch pail! LOL! I was never able to get my hands on a folding stock Mini-14 so I bought a Ranch Mini-14 in the 90's. I just recently discovered that they started producing them again this year, and just picked mine up today at my FFL Dealer! I am kind of having that adrenaline rush over it you were talking about! :)
That "never hit anything" was hilarious 😂
Samson also makes QD swivel adapters for the folder. Thats what i run with 1of your slings. Its a pretty sweet setup.
I snagged up a couple of pairs of their PB receptacle swivels for my Mini-14s, ( a 185- series w/original Ruger side folding stock and a recently acquired 585- series 75th anniversary edition SS tactical model with Samson built side folding stock. )
I just bought a Samson Hannibal forend rail for each rifle, too. With me being a lefty on long guns, this allows me to install their included PB receptacle mount to the Hannibal rail.
1981 ..... I was 32 years old.... but this is my next purchase.....
recent purchase was a m1 carbine 1942 winchester
I’m using the mini slings you sold me from the regular stocks on my two Samson atm stocks they working fine
I'm running a Spectra 3-point on my Butler Creek folder that is 20+ years old. Works perfectly fine even though it is so ancient it has the old gate hooks as quick releases.
*Specter (darn autoincorrect)
I like my old Butler Creek stock it doesn't fold quite so close but with a 20-round magazine installed the buttplate part of the stock sticking down doesn't matter. It's a better, more beefy and solid stock when deployed with a much better cheek weld.
I've had mine for forty years...
