So inspirational! When he demoed that weird vision-based record-playing-synth that was the trippiest. I thought we had lost time-space for a while and I didn't know how long he had been there and all of a sudden he just moves on to new gear at an appropriate transition on an impossibly beyond fathomable instrument.
Bobb always seemed like a nice guy, but this video confirmed it. The fact that he is friends with Nels Cline just brings his cool factor up 100%. Thanks Earthquaker for getting such great videos.
I was super happy to see that Acoustic Control 150 get some love! I have one too and everyone that I’ve ever talked to about it turns their nose up at it thinking it’s a “Guitar Center” amp. I have a 450 as well and love both of them dearly!
Bobb is a solid dude. I messaged him on Instagram about the gear he and Beth used on “Crazy For You” all those years ago - I had just gotten it on vinyl and became obsessed with it again...about 45 minutes late he sends a thank you and pictures of the gear along with a iPhone note of the amps and guitars. Dudes cool. I’m sure if I would have asked Beth the same thing she would have been like 🤷♂️
I used to be obsessed with Best Coast as a teen and always saw Bobb using an Eastwood Sidejack during that era. I bought one shortly after and it’s been my main axe since
One reason I really, really envy American musicians apart from the easy access to readily available awesome gear they have is that they don't have much dust in the air over there. Seriously, this will sound stupid to a lot of you, but here in India, it's so hot, humid and dusty that every time I have to play the guitar, I have to take out my guitar from a cover (the strings will rust otherwise) and I cannot leave my pedals out in the open because the knobs will get crusty as fuck. It's damn annoying looking at people with all their gear out in the open always on UA-cam when i have to dust my house twice everyday!
I am fascinated and enthralled by the your collection. It's wonderful to see all of these device doing all of these things. the potential is staggering. thanks for the visit.
Bob... You look and act like an amalgamation of three of my very best friends from my teenage years. I'm positive recording with you would be a blast!!! The only thing wrong with this episode is it's not long enough. Part two? If not, that's okay. I'll just watch it several times.
In the 90s, I saw Bobb at all the BLONDE REDHEAD shows wearing a GODFLESH t-shirt. In fact, he has an amazing GODFLESH-sounding side project called SUBMISSIONS, which he didn't talk about here. If you like GODFLESH, check out SUBMISSIONS.
I wish I had all of the junk I ever had. An optigan, a bud box phase 9o, gorilla amps, a peavy bass amp, a top boost ac 30. So much just comes and goes.
Awesome. This kind of sound exploration and experimentation is right up my alley. Cool to see the different toys these folks have/use that you wouldn't expect (or maybe haven't even seen before). I use a lot of weird stuff too, but watching this series has given me quite a few ideas as well - not to copy techniques, but certain ways different tech can be modified and utilized. Good stuff. Great vid as with the rest.
I have the rock amps amp with the built in reverb. The “distortion” circuit on that sounds awesome. A friend gave it to me for free and I’m so thankful for it.
My old band mate had (has ) that Baldwin..cool good memories... thanks for the reminder about Oliver / Ampeg..I'd forgotten about those as well...love your stuff...( I'm watching a Chloe G Moretz movie as I type)...:).. stay safe
Pretty sure Joe Gore used one of those Baldwin amps with Tom Waits and PJ Harvey. The reverb and trem are great. Where I used to work, we briefly had an Oliver unit that was basically the rotating top horn of a Leslie in a box on its own. Leslie sounds but weighed like 20 pounds. I was sad to see it go! Can't keep em all though.
i wish he had some more backstories regarding the for carnation. their self titled is one of the best albums ever made in the history of humanity if you ask me
I got the same Baldwin amp! It has a cold drive tone when you get it loud. I love the verb and trem too. Never heard of Oliver amps, I’ll keep on the lookout for one.
I want to see all.of Bob's Junk. I'm so curious about things I saw.... Pt 2 coming soon. Ps. Bob can we smoke a joint together sometime? Or have a drink. Send a message next time your in Portland OR. My treat.. cheers. Gabe.
Thanks for watching Show Us Your Junk! Feel free to check out the other episodes and subscribe for more in the future!

Bobb is awesome. You have to love a guy that will put up bands and loan them gear so they CAN tour. Big Props to Bobb.
What a nice guy. Puts touring bands up at his place and lends gear. Cheers!
I love how much of his collection was plugged in and ready to go. 🤟
Yeah that is really cool huh. Thats the best way to actually get to use it. We can all learn a lesson from that!
What a nice guy. Everyone should want to record with him.
Bob seems like a lovely dude. A room like that would get me through lockdown pretty easily

I respect Bobbs passion. Don't ever stop!!!!!!

Love this! Bobb has impeccable taste. Love that he and Nels bond over old rack units. ❤️
Damn he really must trust the bands he puts up if he leaves them in a room with all those pedals lol
I hate to say it but that was the first thing I thought of.
Thinking the same thing

I'm positive recording with you would be a blast!!!
The only thing wrong with this episode is it's not long enough. Part two? If not, that's okay. I'll just watch it several times.
Awesome amount of cool stuff, I love how in the background there is almost always a wicked awesome looking guitar too :D
When I see someone with a crazier pedal collection than me it lets me know it’s okay to buy more pedals
That’s why I watch JHS videos lol
Shout out for the Meltzer shirt-Five Stars!
Bobb seems like such a pleasant dude.
👍👍 on the solid state love...my JC 120 has the cleanest tone I've ever heard and the Dispatch Master and Afterneath sound incredible through it.
probably one of my favorite show us your junk episodes yet! my goodness this was an interesting one!
thanks for checking it out!
That synth at 5:20 might be the coolest piece of gear I’ve ever seen lol.
super rad! great tunes to now add to my collection...
I love this series! Keep em comin' EarthQuaker!

@@666xian Thanks for sharing this! Love Godflesh and now I like this too! Trying to cook up a combination of doom, industrial and ambient myself!

Top bloke! Great episode😀
Bobb seems like a cool guy. I really enjoy these videos. Keep them coming.
This was full of stupid-cool stuff (awesome collection Bob!) Thanks for making these!
Bob rules.
I see that you have polish poster of "the riders of the lost ark". Greetings from Poland :)
I’ve no idea who he is but his love of what he talks about is infectious ... The world needs more people him to make it a better place
Thank you for this. On a depressing day, this added a bit of sunshine.
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching
Wow!! This is GREAT!!!

Amazing collection of gear - some really unique gems. What a lovely guy too - loaning our gear and putting up touring bands
no BS Bobb Rules
Wow. Some collection of oddities you don't see very often at all. Loved it.
i love that one of my favourite guitarist talks about his guitar & amps for two minute in a sixteen min video haha his stuff is fucking rad
I have the rock amps amp with the built in reverb. The “distortion” circuit on that sounds awesome. A friend gave it to me for free and I’m so thankful for it.
This helps with my GAS... just to see what’s out there helps. Can’t spend much anymore so it’s appreciated. Very cool and mellow.
Peace and Music
Very fun video. People in their element are way cool.
BE NICE FOR BOBB
My old band mate had (has ) that Baldwin..cool good memories... thanks for the reminder about Oliver / Ampeg..I'd forgotten about those as well...love your stuff...( I'm watching a Chloe G Moretz movie as I type)...:).. stay safe

Thanks for ripping good stuff man I like old sears amps myself!❤️
Great episode. Cool guy
Love these videos as much as the pedals! Please keep em coming!
That Ibanez Les Paul Recording copy at 13:30 right above the amp is cool.
I need that wall of pedals in my apt right now during quarantine
i wish he had some more backstories regarding the for carnation. their self titled is one of the best albums ever made in the history of humanity if you ask me
this is a good'un. Could watch these all day
I enjoy watching musicians who just love what they love, damn whatever is “hip” to own. This is a cool dude
Good dude.

Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed this ✌️
great to hear! thanks for watching!
sweet drums man!
I got the same Baldwin amp! It has a cold drive tone when you get it loud. I love the verb and trem too. Never heard of Oliver amps, I’ll keep on the lookout for one.
The guys carpet is the same pattern as the corridors in the Overlook Hotel (The Shining)
Great episode!
we appreciate your attention. Thanks!
How did I not see this series before!! It is so good. Has given me so many great ideas and GAS.
Great gear, fun to watch. At 13:17 I saw this Les Paul studio on the wall. It kinda looked familiar like the '72 Greco PE-520.
You need the Oliver amp that automatically comes up from the cabinet when you turn it on. So cool and so sweet.
I want to see all.of Bob's Junk.
I'm so curious about things I saw....
Pt 2 coming soon.
Ps. Bob can we smoke a joint together sometime? Or have a drink.
