@@XtremeTofu We know the gun4ir isn't... It's highly possible they've locked it to their own light-guns, but we have had the "gun4ir connected" screen at the bottom left to show the drivers are actually on the board. But if the 10th cannot see the 3A lightgun, then the game refuses to load.
I bought one today was planning on making a light gun cabinet this will save me the effort. Just hope their guns are decent. Now what to do with all my other pandora boxes.

Hello, a question! How did you adjust your screen? At the beginning of the video I know that it is in 16:9 but afterward everything is well centered, I just bought a PB but I put it on my CRT and the horizontal size cannot be adjusted, thanks in advance for your response.
You can hold the setting button when you give it power to change resolution. But if you cant change horizontal size on your monitor, you may need an adjustable board, you can get them on aliexpress that go in-between the pandora box and the jamma edge, and it has knobs like H-Size, etc
Great video thank you for posting and sharing. Have a quick question I have a brand new flat 24.8 inch Tri-Sync CRT arcade monitor will this work with the Pandora box. My arcade monitor supports 15,24 and 31 kHz does the Pandora box support those frequencies.?
It depends on the resolutions that the monitor supports. This one supports 720p and 1080p (I think), which can make some go 4:3 displays go crazy, but also supports 1024*768 (which your monitor may not). In 15hz, the JAMMA version does however support CGA resolution however. We have a video that will be up either tonight or tomorrow night that should help you in deciding the best Pandora box for your system 🙂

The horizontal synchronization signal frequency is 15 K 24 and 31K automatically vertical synchronization’s signal frequency is between 47 and 70 Hz video is TTL between 2.5 to 5.0 Vp-p at 1 k ohm impedance and the analog is 0.7 V PP 75 ohm impedance, the resolution it supports is 560 x 240, 640x350, and 640 x 480 Signal connector 6pin (RGB, GND, H+V, V) or 15 pin D-Sub ( Male)

My 10th anniversary package is still a few days away but I’m really pleased it’s as decent as it is stock. Just need to get those damn blur filters off and a way to add a few additional prime DC, AW and arcade titles. Does the stock have psp ultimate Ghosts n goblins? Obviously a shame about the screen rotation failure - why oh why do 3A always feel the need to leave something janky to fix - would have possibly got a second unit to replace the KOA2 in my vertical cab if it worked. Over to you guys to fine tune this little beastie. 👍🏻

JAMMA can be used for 15hz crt whereas the family cannot. If you're starting from the ground up, and you need VGA or HDMI connection, it's better to go for a family version. Only go for a JAMMA if you have an arcade with JAMMA connection already waiting.
Proper CGA support is welcome considering they dropped it for the EX jamma board. Performance also seems like a huge step up. It's a bit of a head scratcher that user added games is a removed feature. However, being able to customize controls on a game-by-game basis is incredible. Can't wait to see what you guys do with this one.
How stable does mvc2 and cvs2 feel running on Naomi? Do dc roms support save games now? When I got my 3d+ and ex2 I was really disappointed the DC emulators didn't save progress
I pre-ordered one since the reduced price on them is only for a limited time (a week or so). I'm bummed out though, because I have a 3-sided cocktail table multicade here and it was originally set up with a Pandora DX JAMMA. Wanted to drop this in, to upgrade it. But the inability to flip between horizontal and vertical modes is kind of a deal-breaker. I heard this allows "insert coin" to map to a button for each player's controls though, which would be a BIG plus. I hate how on my DX, coins can only be added by pressing the correct button on the left-hand player's set of controls. Makes no sense when trying to play the horizontal aspect games using the front controls. The light gun games are a really cool addition, but I probably won't use that part because my multicade is in a small room in the house where people couldn't stand far enough back from the screen for them to be any good. Gonna have to wait and hope Team Pandory can get the horizontal/vertical mode change working!
Today i got a flashing long line on the screen in menus and when i play,always in the same place , is it a new update or its broken already>? I have used it like 20-30 hours only. :( I checked my cga machine with my old cx 2800 and everything is fine.
If your original arcade machine is JAMMA compatible, then no. Power comes from the JAMMA, and the controls are also attached. Video too, but if you need something other than CGA, you can plug in a VGA or HDMI cable.
It wasn't super clear in the video, but is your Astro City harness modified/rewired to accept CHAMMA? 6 button normally doesn't work on the JAMMA standard. Adapters can be made to break out the kick harness controls, but that should probably be mentioned since the Pandora's CHAMMA edge isn't normally fully plug and play to JAMMA. If possible, you should change and save the correct resolution before you connect to the cab. Feeding scan rates that are too high isn't great for the monitor.
Hopefully the family version will include screen rotate mode for the vertical games, as it didn’t work for you I would say it’s a bug. Mortal Kombat arcade version, im in shock, im about to pull the trigger on this im so close😅
The only other box I've seen rotate on is the DX 3000+519 or something. Outside that, only pandorydx could rotate the screen. Will be interesting to see if the family is actually any different other than CGA support
I think it was the dx special. I’m still using my pb5 from 3,4 years ago, I’ve been waiting for a worthy upgrade for what seems like an age, I almost brought the dx special but this version might be the one follow through on
I have this box works great in my cabinet with my arcade monitor. However when i take it out connect 5v and 12v directly to jamma connector power lights come on and it won't display on my vga monitor or hdmi tv. I have changed the resolution settings. After a few minutes the top light will flash. I have two of these models and both do the same. Anyone have an idea?

recently I bought the Pandora Box 10th Anniversary but unfortunately it did not work say "No Signal Detected". Anyone can help? Seller still not give me technical support.
Question: I have the 10th anniversary Jamma edition and do not find the Naomi emulator and also the respective games (i.e. Cap. vs. SNK 2) are missing from the game list. Shouldn't it be there? I also tried to add it using the tutorial, but Naomi or the respective games do not show up in the game and emulator menu. Does anybody have the same issue or an idea? THANKS!
Did you even watch the video? We pointed out the problem and showed a workaround (search menu). They are hidden completely from the games menu if you're running the box in CGA mode. Unfortunately, in 3A's almighty wisdom they decided to block it completely if you have updated the firmware.

I did not know that a firmware upgrade blocks the games on CGA. However, I did not upgrade it myself. Maybe they shipped it with the new version already installed? Any chance to change that back? @@marcellostein6510 it makes total sense. I'm guessing they're shipping them out updated now, which is a shame in a way. Best thing you can do is complain to them directly by messaging them. Having multiple voices demanding cap v snk2 on cga is what we need, because frankly that game is damn awesome
@@TeamPandory Agree and thanks. Wrote them. They say these games won't work on CRT (???). That is why they blocked them ou. I replied that I had no issues running Naomi/DC/Atomiswave games on the CRT in my cab and asked for a firmware to install to fix this. Let's see.

Sounds like you need a Pandora Box Harness. You can grab them from aliexpress quite cheap. Come to the discord and post photos in the chat for more advice.
Ohhh I'm tempted.... Not really fussed about the lightgun games (rather get a sinden for my pc and play on my big TV) but if it runs certain Arcade/Dreamcast games fine I might take the plunge. Can this play Soul Calibur Broken Destiny (PSP) and Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection (PSP) with 2 players? I own a Pandora box DX and one big issue for me was that the console didn't recognize R2 on a PS4 Controller or Fight stick and could not button map it for 6 button games. I'm hoping this fixes that problem.
Anyone else can’t save MVC2? Can’t unlock all the characters. Tried both versions. Tried downloading the game but all emulators are broken. If you know a fix please reach out 🙏🏼
It's more than likely that the lightguns won't be compatible. So far we've found no lightguns that work with this thing, however a set was just released this last week at retroshooter.com. Maybe you could switch the lightguns into the T2 1up system?
I just tried the pandora 10th I have many problems Mario Kart (N64) not working, the joystick not turning in game. Virtua Tennis (PSP) have many Flashing all along the game... Have you same problem ?
Just tried mario kart 64, the n64 analogue stick isn't assigned to a standard arcade stick. Having a wireless PS3 pad clone works with this game. The type with a usb dongle.
@@fortvalor unfortunately not. They didn't allow us to save or even use the save state with added games. As a work around you could replace a game file already on the unit with one of your own. That might work.
@@siihighperformancelighting2390 nice. You should be good with this box then. If you want to have an insane upgrade,I'd probably go the mini pc route though. Switch out the JAMMA for a pair of zero encoder boards. But that's if you want to pay a bit extra for a lot more power.

I think adding roms is possible on USB drive (i did that on myh pandora DX). You just have te reproduce the same names on the folders under roms as you showed. I can't test it on this one though since I don't have it
Anyway to increase it? How does one get to the bios screen? I tried buying a headphone amp to plug between my EX and my computer speakers in my arcade cabinet, but it didn't boost the sound the way I had hoped.
Pandora is an apt name for the whole series. Open the box and any number of horrors are there. The concept is great but the execution has been appalling. Way too many of these things too. Would not touch one with a bargepole.

How is MK2 Arcade? Sound, shadows? Also how is the sound playing UMK3 Arcade? Did you try adding Killer Instinct Arcade via usb?

Usually you hold the menu button AS u turn on power and hold menu button until Pandora automatically configurate for you

I own a Pandora box DX and one big issue for me was that the console didn't recognize R2 on a PS4 Controller or Fight stick and could not button map it for 6 button games. I'm hoping this fixes that problem.

It's more than likely that the lightguns won't be compatible. So far we've found no lightguns that work with this thing, however a set was just released this last week at retroshooter.com. Maybe you could switch the lightguns into the T2 1up system?
Is there someway I can purchase this 10th installed with joystick and buttons in the same sense that they sell the 18s and others??
It's a brand new box. Check AliExpress in their stores, they'll be rolling out in the next few weeks I bet.
I just tried the pandora 10th I have many problems Mario Kart (N64) not working, the joystick not turning in game. Virtua Tennis (PSP) have many Flashing all along the game... Have you same problem ?
I'll have a check. The flashing is probably because the psp emulator needs buffer graphics selected... Can you give a list of psp games that flash ?

Just tried mario kart 64, the n64 analogue stick isn't assigned to a standard arcade stick. Having a wireless PS3 pad clone works with this game. The type with a usb dongle.

No. That list is blocked if you're using cga resolution.

I added games but rpgs don’t save once you exit the game and come back to it anyone know if this can be fixed?
@@fortvalor unfortunately not. They didn't allow us to save or even use the save state with added games.
As a work around you could replace a game file already on the unit with one of your own. That might work.

If you want to have an insane upgrade,I'd probably go the mini pc route though. Switch out the JAMMA for a pair of zero encoder boards. But that's if you want to pay a bit extra for a lot more power.
Will there be pandory support for this? I just fired it up in my cabinet with a CGA monitor and so many games look absolutely awful compared to the DX. What did they do with the scaling in this version?? Please fix this pile of hot garbage you guys PLEASE

@@popeye7833 family boxes need a 12v adapter... depending on the board - but the JAMMA edge uses the industry standard. +12 +5 and maybe -5?

I’ve done this by using a vga-ypbpr transcoder and rigging up a vga cable to the jamma video outputs.

Es difícil de decir. Si necesita CGA, Pandora DX o 10th son buenas opciones, pero personalmente no me gusta la forma en que desenfocan la señal de video. De hecho, me gusta una de las cajas más baratas: los "Pandora X Games". Definitivamente tiene sus limitaciones, como no guardar juegos o títulos de consola, pero los gráficos son agradables y nítidos.

It's the old arcade monitor resolution at 15hz. If you're running thin monitors with IPS you really don't need to think about this at all.

I think adding roms is possible on USB drive (i did that on myh pandora DX). You just have te reproduce the same names on the folders under roms as you showed. I can't test it on this one though since I don't have it

Anyway to increase it? How does one get to the bios screen? I tried buying a headphone amp to plug between my EX and my computer speakers in my arcade cabinet, but it didn't boost the sound the way I had hoped.
@@mak23997 I've only ever used mame, which is just the F2 key to get to the bios... Then you adjust the volume there.

Pandora is an apt name for the whole series. Open the box and any number of horrors are there. The concept is great but the execution has been appalling. Way too many of these things too. Would not touch one with a bargepole.
