Real quick comment, I've always followed your tutorials and one thing I will say is that you are always spot-on. If you say to do it a certain way with a certain app you prefer, I never have issues. Whist this is great news, most of the games you add to your 10th Anniversary Pandora Box will be unplayable due to controller issues. I'm using a wireless X-Box 360 controller and even though everything shows up as working fine under the IO test menu, the joysticks simply won't work in most of the games I tried. The buttons work and the D-Pad works but the sticks either do nothing or act strange. I'd be interested to hear if others are having this issue and if not, what joysticks/controllers or pads are you using? I'll also mention that the controller I'm using works just fine with the games that came loaded on the system by Pandora.
This worked great, however I'm having issues with as particular ROM - Zoo Keeper for MAME. Thisis the game I always wanted to have on a cabinet in my house and the one that I played when I was a kid when my mom would give me a few quarters when she shoppoed at the grocery store. It comes up with a screen mentioning the game location and then just sits, then eventually goes back to the game load screen. Any ideas? Would really be a wonderful thing to have this. Thank you!
Added some vertical games in hopes they would be vertical on my cocktail table, well, they are, but from the 2 player side. Any idea how to flip it? Also, 2 player games don't flip when its player twos turn?
Hey Buddy, I noticed you have the Killer Instincts MAME version (2:42min). Were they added or they came pre loaded? On all the videos I've seen looks like it comes only with the Super Nintendo version. How does it run? I understand Pandora has a hard time with 3D games.
The arm chipset has a hard time dealing with the emulation of 3D mame games. Tekken, Killer Instinct, things like that. The best experience for KI games on a pandora box is the SNES version hands done. If you want to play the other versions get a mini pc and pop batocera on.

In the lighgun game folder games like Crime Patrol consist of a .m2v .dat and .ogg file. All the downloadable roms I can find are ISO versions. Can't find any info how to use or convert them.
There is a problem with a white line on some pandora 10th (I've also uploaded a video) only when using a CRT, so it shouldn't be a graphics chip problem. Do you know that? Any chance it will be fixed when pandory becomes compatible?
I did a little experimenting with adding games and have run into an issue. Maybe you might know what's going on. I added Dolphin Blue which is atomiswave. For some reason the Pandora's box picks it up as a DC game. I see a spreadsheet it created after the game is seen by Pandora. You can define how the game is displayed in the menu, video file location etc. Gamw title does work. However there is a emulator column that says DC. I tried changing it to AW etc and nothing seems to work. It always defaults back to DC. Any clue how to get it picked up as a atomiswave game?
Thanks for putting this video together. I have a small issue you might be able to help with - when I put the card into the pandora box and remove it, some folders are missing, for example the nds folder isn't in the list. I've tried adding it myself and then putting games in that folder but they don't appear at the end of the games list back on the pandora box. Any advice?

@@clay014 Good pokem... I only really played the OG Pokemon Blue back in the day. Bought them on the GBA after that, but they quickly gathered dust. tbh I'd look into the pokemon hacks where they mash up a few pokemon games into one. They're supposed to be pretty decent.
Very annoying that those of us running this box in an arcade machine with a crt are unable to add more games or see games from DC ect. If they could fix that as well as the sub par image quality this would be a amazing box.

I’ve added Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Zelda - A Link to the Past etc and they play fine off my inserted USB stick, but there’s no option in the pause menu to save progress, like with the original games. There’s no way I’ll be able to complete them in one sitting! Any ideas? Can I somehow add them onto the micro SD that’s in the Pandora 10th box?
You can't save added games. It's dumb, I know. What you could do is flip a ROM that's already in the original games menu. Find a game you don't use, then overwrite it with Zelda or whatever. Make sure you use the same ROM / zip filename, and also have a backup in case things get messed up.

3A disabled allowing game save states on added games, and even importing save data / options on this system. Nothing we can do outside beg 3A (or use a different solution!)

Unfortunately not, sorry. We've reviewed a lot of 3A boxes, and there's been too many disappointments to make it worth covering. Version 3 looks to be like V2 with a microsd on the back. Not enough to make it worth their asking price. If you make a video review, we can share it with the community if you like?
Sorry for the dumb question but do I need to keep the USB memory stick in every time I want to play the added game or the new game will get copies into the internal drive?
I think I'm missing something basic. I have a formatted microSD that when I plug into the Pandora 10th either on the screen where you can select a game or in the setting screen, then remove it, it doesn't copy anything over. How do I get the Pandora 10th to copy over the file structures/files?

3:55 why arcade version of tekken 3 getting lag . Same as tekken tag mame version . Why these games getting lag . Is there any solution for lag ? in 10th Anniversary. Pls test out rom on mame 2003 as you say 2003 is fast . Must try tekken tag arcade version of mame .
Most 3D MAME arcade games and fighters don't run well on any of these machines. The solution is to not use a Pandora Box. It's best to use a PC with Batocera, or use a Pandora Box that is based on PC architecture. There's only one that fits the bill, though. The Pandora GunMax. We have a review on here somewhere.
Do you think CarnEvil will be a compatible Light Gun ROM? I was disappointed not seeing it included from the factory! Edit: Just read you can't add games when using a CRT ;( Why is that? Ive been waiting for the light gun to release before I decide to make the upgrade to the PB10 but if that is the case I may stay with the DX-S ;(
@@Beaument Yeah, unfortunately SCART/Euro AV TVs are quite scarce in my country (see: non-existent)... There should be a few supergun reviews on UA-cam though
@@Beaument The combination of PB, supergun and PSU, ends up costing more than a Pi3/4 with an RGB-Pi scart cable (even at scalper prices...), and doesn't make very much sense from a practical standpoint. RGB-Pi OS would also probably work much better than the PB10 for low resolution in general.
Whenever I add a game file, it creates a duplicate file with under score before title, in the game list (i.e. tekken, _tekken). Is there a way to stop this?

What are the filenames you're using ? You'll probably be needing from a certain mame set or it won't work. Unfortunately I don't think 3A have even given any details on this.
No. There is no C64 emulator on this box. If you want C64 you'd be better off getting a box that supports emuelec, or a mini pc then install batocera on it.

It's possible it's already on the box as another alternative name. Street hoops = Street Hoop / Street Slam / Dunk Dream depending on the region. Arcade games can be a bit trivial to install as it needs to be the correct mame / fba ROM version exactly. If it isn't correct it'll fail.

I knew there probably was a way to add games to one. Did you make a backup of the original files and then delete all the games from folders on it and only install what you wanted to add to see if that would work? Then you could have a complete set of roms without.
3A boxes usually hide important files within their roms. Deleting these usually make the box useless and unable to boot. Also, added games are not in the search list - so the best way to do this is to hide all of the systems you don't need (doable from the menu settings) then unhide everything you wish, and add the extra games
@@TeamPandory Oh okay so its like the front-end that I use now about how you can hide systems. I was looking into different ways to go when I build my bartops. Since I want one for ever system so the button layout matches the console, looking to go the cheapest way. 1 arcade isnt too much but when I want to build a ton of them the price sky rockets 😆.
I tried to put the unibios in the folder and is not possible to select him...the système is configured to work with the normal neogeo bios... How do you do to select the unibios ? Please help meeee? I can' t play kof 96 no team match and i can 't select blood for metal slug...
Sorry for the delay, read the unibios website on how to import it to the regular neogeo.zip file. You need to switch out the Asia file inside the neogeo zip with the unibios one. This modified neogeo zip file then needs to replace the one on your box. Just make sure to save a backup before you do so.
I have a 10th pandoras and modded my nba jam. i added a converter so i can i have 4 player. that works just fine but i am struggling adding games that will work with 4 player. i added nba jam and it worked fine but only 2 player. i also did nfl blitz and it didnt work at all. i am really struggling and need some help. i have tryed several diffrent roms and it isnt working with 4 player for nba jam and nfl blitz is not even booting.
10th doesn't support options files for most, if not all the emulators. 4 player nbajam needs access to the settings/ dips to get 4 player mode working well.
@@fisto1980 DC Naomi aw folder. They need to be in .zip format from a newer mame set (0.206+). Also add the Naomi and atomiswave bios files to the same folder. If it isn't working, first try turning off HD filter and scanlines in the settings screen. If nothing , then try changing for another ROM file.
Unfortunately not. All of the games on the box already don't use the full estate of the screen (to work on a hori monitor) but if you add your own games they're in Tate

You'd need to go into a lot more detail. How are you actually adding the games? - What is your USB stick formatted as? Are you adding the ps1 bios file to the folder? What game are you having problems with? How are they titled? - It's probably better to come to the Discord for help, but I'd honestly just start with only ONE game, and then start adding more once that's working fine.

@@TeamPandory I have found a way (kind of) I replaced Tekken 2 with Skullmonkeys and the save feature works. I had to put Skullmonkeys on the SD card and name it "tekken2" but it does work!!! I can only replace with like file formats (psx bin files can only replace psx bins, Genesis games have to be .gen format etc) Not ideal but opens up options.
@@exromand you mean save state or actual use of a memory card file ? The save state / file flip was known already, but trying to import save data is currently (AFAIK) not possible.
@@exromand Yeah, so even the save-state data is on the internal NAND. You cannot access it outside using the "load" and "save" items in the pandora menu. They block all emulator settings. Very frustrating.
I HOPE it did it as default... Now I'm second guessing myself- give me a minute to check ... But AFAIK you just add the vertical game to the usb stock and it goes to TATE MODE.
Again it looks like an after thought tack on, unCategorize and crammed to the bottom of the main list. when will they just open up the sd card and allow us access to the main list to add and remove games their only hurting there own sales
Hey, seems not to work anymore. Is there a link withe the needed Folders somewere? And can i switch the Coin Options. The Coin slot is just Working at Player one. Player two is not working now. Thats anoying to go into the options to insert coins for Player Two T_T
@@TeamPandory no, I can’t add games. Wenn I add to usb 1 or 2 my USB stick it won’t add the folders. 🥹. And I have a original Aero City. With one coin slot. With my old Pandora I can use both players with one coin slot. So the continue is working for both. On tue new 10 edit it only works for player one. 🤔
@@shawndavidson3425 The solution the only way to add games is you have to put the games on an actual USB stick and hook that up to the system then the added games will show up at the end of the game list once the system boots up you can’t just add the games to an SD card. They won’t show up so you have to use one of the USB ports. Meaning you’ll probably have to unplug one of the controllers.

Yes. All Games. The systems show up in the menu. No naomi/atomis wave though. I put roms in the naomi_aw folder

So this will only work with rom sets for mame 0.78 and 0.139 correct?

Copy over dolphin.zip and the bios files awbios.zip etc to the atomiswave folder. That's it. Make sure they're recent mame files.

Nds? There's not been a pandora box that's ever supported Nintendo DS.
At 2.04 you have an NDS folder, no? 2:04
@@clay014 ... They may have tried it but then failed. If it's not added in the later versions of the 10th, it's likely that they removed this.

We've reviewed a lot of 3A boxes, and there's been too many disappointments to make it worth covering.
Version 3 looks to be like V2 with a microsd on the back. Not enough to make it worth their asking price.

Sorry for the dumb question but do I need to keep the USB memory stick in every time I want to play the added game or the new game will get copies into the internal drive?
On this model the game plays off the microsd, so you need to keep it in.

I think I'm missing something basic. I have a formatted microSD that when I plug into the Pandora 10th either on the screen where you can select a game or in the setting screen, then remove it, it doesn't copy anything over. How do I get the Pandora 10th to copy over the file structures/files?

Hi, I followed your tutorial but when I insert the USB into my pandoras and put it back into the PC the SD remains empty, I tried both ports but nothing. Could you help me?
Is this for the 10th? Did you allow it to boot up into the games menu first?
@@TeamPandory finally solved the problem by copying the folders from the original SD. I ask you one last thing, I tried to insert dolphin blue on mame, fba, but nothing, how did you manage to get it started, did you use some different emulator?

Most 3D MAME arcade games and fighters don't run well on any of these machines.
The solution is to not use a Pandora Box. It's best to use a PC with Batocera, or use a Pandora Box that is based on PC architecture.
There's only one that fits the bill, though. The Pandora GunMax. We have a review on here somewhere.

Edit: Just read you can't add games when using a CRT ;( Why is that? Ive been waiting for the light gun to release before I decide to make the upgrade to the PB10 but if that is the case I may stay with the DX-S ;(
What bios file do i use for psp games? Ive managed to get naomi and atomiswave roms working great now 😊
Psp doesn't require bios for emulation.

@@Beaument Yeah, unfortunately SCART/Euro AV TVs are quite scarce in my country (see: non-existent)... There should be a few supergun reviews on UA-cam though
@@Beaument The combination of PB, supergun and PSU, ends up costing more than a Pi3/4 with an RGB-Pi scart cable (even at scalper prices...), and doesn't make very much sense from a practical standpoint. RGB-Pi OS would also probably work much better than the PB10 for low resolution in general.
I always back up my original image before adding games and fiddling. Have you ever did a video on how to clone your original sd card?

Whenever I add a game file, it creates a duplicate file with under score before title, in the game list (i.e. tekken, _tekken). Is there a way to stop this?
I found the issue was Mac OS auto creates these hidden files. I had to unhide them and remove them on Windows

Thanks for the video, still on the fence. I have a DX with Pandory, any way to sort the ratio correction like you did with 1943? My Tate games always fill 16:9 full screen which makes them too long. I've got them to rotate with the config file but not turn to 4:3 once they have! Thanks!
You need to use forcewidth and forceheight parameters. Come to the discord for more info on that.

No, you can't add lightgun games unless you have their Retroshooters- and the lightgun game is set up by them to run on the machine.

Issue adding Atomiswave games, they show up as Dreamcast games, load to 98% then it hangs there. Anything I can try?
What are the filenames you're using ? You'll probably be needing from a certain mame set or it won't work.
Unfortunately I don't think 3A have even given any details on this.

No. There is no C64 emulator on this box. If you want C64 you'd be better off getting a box that supports emuelec, or a mini pc then install batocera on it.

It's possible it's already on the box as another alternative name. Street hoops = Street Hoop / Street Slam / Dunk Dream depending on the region.
Arcade games can be a bit trivial to install as it needs to be the correct mame / fba ROM version exactly. If it isn't correct it'll fail.

@@giansfamily I think they need to be the mame .zip files for Naomi, and for Dreamcast, maybe .CDI ?
I knew there probably was a way to add games to one. Did you make a backup of the original files and then delete all the games from folders on it and only install what you wanted to add to see if that would work? Then you could have a complete set of roms without.
3A boxes usually hide important files within their roms. Deleting these usually make the box useless and unable to boot.
Also, added games are not in the search list - so the best way to do this is to hide all of the systems you don't need (doable from the menu settings) then unhide everything you wish, and add the extra games
@@TeamPandory Oh okay so its like the front-end that I use now about how you can hide systems. I was looking into different ways to go when I build my bartops. Since I want one for ever system so the button layout matches the console, looking to go the cheapest way. 1 arcade isnt too much but when I want to build a ton of them the price sky rockets 😆.

Sorry for the delay, read the unibios website on how to import it to the regular neogeo.zip file. You need to switch out the Asia file inside the neogeo zip with the unibios one.
This modified neogeo zip file then needs to replace the one on your box. Just make sure to save a backup before you do so.
And could you tell me in what internal folder of your box IS located thé neogeo bios i have to replace...?
I have a 10th pandoras and modded my nba jam. i added a converter so i can i have 4 player. that works just fine but i am struggling adding games that will work with 4 player. i added nba jam and it worked fine but only 2 player. i also did nfl blitz and it didnt work at all. i am really struggling and need some help. i have tryed several diffrent roms and it isnt working with 4 player for nba jam and nfl blitz is not even booting.
10th doesn't support options files for most, if not all the emulators. 4 player nbajam needs access to the settings/ dips to get 4 player mode working well.

That's an atomiswave game. Pop it in the DC atomiswave Naomi folder

@@fisto1980 DC Naomi aw folder. They need to be in .zip format from a newer mame set (0.206+). Also add the Naomi and atomiswave bios files to the same folder.
If it isn't working, first try turning off HD filter and scanlines in the settings screen. If nothing , then try changing for another ROM file.

Unfortunately not. All of the games on the box already don't use the full estate of the screen (to work on a hori monitor) but if you add your own games they're in Tate

You'd need to go into a lot more detail. How are you actually adding the games? - What is your USB stick formatted as? Are you adding the ps1 bios file to the folder? What game are you having problems with? How are they titled? - It's probably better to come to the Discord for help, but I'd honestly just start with only ONE game, and then start adding more once that's working fine.

I replaced Tekken 2 with Skullmonkeys and the save feature works.
I had to put Skullmonkeys on the SD card and name it "tekken2" but it does work!!!
I can only replace with like file formats (psx bin files can only replace psx bins, Genesis games have to be .gen format etc)
Not ideal but opens up options.

The save state / file flip was known already, but trying to import save data is currently (AFAIK) not possible.

@@exromand Yeah, so even the save-state data is on the internal NAND. You cannot access it outside using the "load" and "save" items in the pandora menu. They block all emulator settings. Very frustrating.
After adding a game is it possible to add a video to run with the game in menu if so where do you put the video of the game added.
I think in the same folder as the game, but it's likely to not have this feature working.

Hey, seems not to work anymore. Is there a link withe the needed Folders somewere? And can i switch the Coin Options. The Coin slot is just Working at Player one. Player two is not working now. Thats anoying to go into the options to insert coins for Player Two T_T

With my old Pandora I can use both players with one coin slot. So the continue is working for both. On tue new 10 edit it only works for player one. 🤔

I have the same issue. I have the first release version of the Pandora 10th Ann. I am hoping that is not the reason, why I can't add games.
@@shawndavidson3425 The solution the only way to add games is you have to put the games on an actual USB stick and hook that up to the system then the added games will show up at the end of the game list once the system boots up you can’t just add the games to an SD card. They won’t show up so you have to use one of the USB ports. Meaning you’ll probably have to unplug one of the controllers.
