That bobber set up is the only one that has worked for me, and I will be switching to the flat aerofloat and slinky system ASAP! Got to catch my first chromer with a really similar setup out in your guys' neck of the woods thanks to Steven's Guide Service (he told me that Kody taught him a lot of good things about steelhead fishing)!
@@bornandraisedoutdoors He definitely is dialed in! It was cool to see how much new stuff he had learned this year from guiding in Alaska over last summer/fall! Can't wait for the rest of the DRIFT series to come out!!
How do you fish the bobber dog? All the videos I've seen just show how to tie the rig. What does it look like in the water? Is it for flowing water only?
I always use a bumper between my braid and leader. 15' of 15 to 20# mono secured with a blood knot does the trick, and is much easier to break off than braid. Go get'em!!
Man I miss going to gi Joe's when I was learning to steelhead spending hours pumped getting ready for fishing the next morning broke a 100 steelhead my first year 19yrs later about to be in the 1000 club for steelhead all bank fishing
In lake erie when they run walnut creek we use light line on a noodle rod prob 10 to 13 ft my fenwick is 13 6 and I got 4 pound test use a number 12 salmon egg hook with a splitshot the crimping kind I use the medium one if I use a bobber the casting ones with the weight on the bottom works great but most of the time.i go without the light line makes it so they can't see it in the water use a half a nightcrawler with alil air in it use a worm blower not ur.mouth but thank me later I slam them up.here and any time you guys or.hush wanna come to lake erie I can show.yall around I see ur point in big line tho they fight hard but with the longer the rod u can play them and the fight is on so.fun ty for the fishing vids they help.when Its the off season

That’s awesome! Steven is a great guy and has been fun to watch him grow his skills. He’s pretty dialed in on them now!

Thanks for showing the way you set up your float set-up. Really like this type of educational video.

Kyle Shepherd and then your braid isn’t down there by the fish.

I may have to try bobber doggen some time, over here the using a bobber is referred to as ridding the bubble!

Love you guys! Amazing as always and super helpful! Thanks for being an inspiration!
I always ran a fixed swivel for my weight is there any advantage to having it on a slide system?
Jacob Fox weight gets caught in the net it can slide. Fish don’t feel the weight as much and you get a better direct hookset in my opinion.
Great video!
Fished Maxima ultragreen for alot of years, now i fish p-line floroclear .. also made in 🇺🇸.tight lines!!
Notice your yarn is top hook i tie them quickly that way but drop a black ,olive , brown stone under.
No hat sale plug? You guys are awesome!
Very cool, thanks for sharing
Awesome
Where’s this river at?
Lavern county park
That is a bobber doggin set up.. not a standard float
