Appreciate the video! Dude it's gotta be hard to make this kinda stuff. You try to teach a concept only to be bombarded with "but ACKshually" 's and exceptions to the rule (even tho they really prove it). Also all the people constantly acting like something isn't valid bc there is potential counterplay. "Yea electrics suck you can sidestep them." "Nah this doesn't work bc they can just delay the follow up" Appreciate you taking the time, Chris! Also, I just got my Haute42 T13 yesterday. I finally just got it after watching your review of the T16, so basically the same aside from a few extra buttons, as I'm sure you prob know haha. Very helpful review and I am loving the T13 so far.
Doesn’t bother me at all really. For every negative comment I know there are so many more people who enjoy and find my content useful so I just focus on that! There is always counter play or a different approach to take in any competitive thing, but I just try to put out information that I think is useful. Glad you’re liking both the content and the controller! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a kind comment🤩
Dont use this when you are not under pressure and in neutral, you do this ur getting insta launched. Too many people just duck randomly when someone is playing neutral and they think blocking low is better than getting poked by mids. Your opponent catches you ducking? unlucky. Dont duck unessecarily, only during pressure from strings that have mixup such as jins 214 or 21 delay high kick or whatever.
Thanks a lot! Coming from 2D games, Tekken defense is still a bit weird for me and I'm used to hard duck everytime by fear. Now it will be easier to defend 😊 Great video 🙏
Hard to answer bc the answer is “it depends”. If your character can delay the string, you can use that to throw off their timing and force them to block. You could also stop and check them with a throw to see if they’re still looking for throw breaks and try to sneak in a throw.
As an example, Lee f4,1 is a high, high that gives him +5 on block. If opponents start ducking the second high, he an either do f4,3 which is a delayable mid or just f4. Use delayable strings, strings that have multiple enders, vary when you end a string, and also learn to hit confirm your important punishes that end in a high so you get guaranteed damage instead of risking being ducked. When you teach your opponent not to fuzzy duck, your offense opens back up.
Delay your timing. For strings, if they are delayable, delay it. If its on open state poke or them catching your offensive timing that they are flash ducking, you can add a short forward dash to your attacks or simply wait a heartbeat or however long you feel comfortable with to catch your opponents flash duck rhythm.
Most Higher level yoshis will delay the second hit of b2,2 to match it up with the timing of the undelayed b2,1, or delay both the second hit of b2,1, AND b2,2 even more. Flash ducking is still strong, but this will not work against this string used by higher level players.
"Will not work" is a bit hyperbolic. High level players (not sure what your spectrum is for that) will be aware of this mindgame, so keep an eye out for counterplay/adjustments. Everything is a mix tho even the higher level player will have yet another thing to keep in mind when you show him that you can do this. Also... Yoshi plz plz plz... Throw out that b2, 1... I beg you.
Just imagine you play Rock, Paper, Scissors, and because of this peculiar situation, you beat all of them. You'll beat paper, scissors, and rock - any move, because of this, which doesn't make sense. Why is there Flash Duck/Fuzzy Duck?
Holy fuck I feel so seen here 2:00 . Finally a fellow t16 using Bryan player fucking up the in the exact same way I do far too often lmao. Seeing a b2 when I wanted a jet upper will be forever in my nightmares
That's not true at all. Online wouldn't affect it, because there's not much reacting involved. Unless you're saying you can't react to the first hit of a string to try and fuzzy after.
@@SlCKNESS_ it's not about reaction because if you react that doesn't mean the game will which I was saying online it doesn't work, it comes down to the frame rollback fluctuating
now i know why my opponent always now how to block because i always mixing my combos but mid-high rank players always guess when i'm going to attack low o mid. imma put this on practice
@@D_Imperor its a flaw like back dash cancel. The game was never intended to rely on that glitch. But now its literally a required part of the game to master a game glitch. Fuzzy guard requires no skill youre just taking advantage of a different glitch. Game should be if you see a low attack coming to block low. Shouldnt be if you see an attack coming to shake up and down fast to block either or automatically anyone who is not a lover of true competition will love these glitches and name call. Can see the comments I recieved from people who need glitches to win. Game is lame. These are easily fixable.
@@KaneA87 no what is cheating is that tekken has a glitch that if you do it rapidly at a fast speed it blocks everything. It turns the game for the elites to wiff punish to cause damage. So as the back dash in circles and one finally decides to attack many matches time expires. Blicking should be if you visualize a low strike coming block low or if you anticipate a low strike block low. But with the cheating glitch just go up and down very fast and dont worry about it since tekken will auto block low or mid automatically
Thank you for this! This is the best explanation (and honestly the only one that has made sense to me.)
Glad I was able to help you understand!
This also works against players who don’t finish a high/low string ender and try to hopkick instead. Hopkick comes much later. Not a real mixup

The whole point of this is to be done against strings, not in neutral

What's the counterplay to someone who is flash ducking effectively? Should I just not finish the string and go for something else?
