I so appreciate that this is a lifestyle, not a fad, nor a diet and that you encourage us to find our own unique authentic way to apply the concepts in our lives! You are amazing. So glad I found you and our great group! 💗

Great content DyAnn -- a lot of women think that they can eat whatever they want while doing IF -- they're not fully invested in this lifestyle because they simply can't kick those carbs. It's frustrating to try and convince others that low carb, good fat and high protein is THE game changer as we age. Keep fighting the good fight! I am right there with you :)

Excellent commentary! New subscriber here. I'm 48 years old. Been fasting for 6 weeks now. I'm down 10 lbs and the scale is no longer moving. However, I'm going to continue fasting (16:8 method) because my clothes fit SOOO much better now.

Same age! How long do you fast for and what do you eat in your eating window?

Hello from a cool cloudy Croatia. Proud of myself for maintaining a clean 20/4. Only one or two days of boarder line, questionable feasting window.

This was a great video. you made some really strong points! i needed to hear this...i was wondering though about the idea of consistantly sticking to the same 20 hour fasting window. won't your body just adapt and get used to this, in a similar way that it does when you do the same type of exercise every day. i always thought we need to keep changing things up to "confuse " our bodies. is this true?

Life does that for us. There is NO way to do the exact same thing everyday! We are not robots. Life will happen. Coming back to 20 hours when life happens is the thing most of us need to think about.

I do approx 19 hours every day. Sometimes more, rarely less. I've maintained a 30 pound weight loss for 2 years, and my hubby 60+ pound weight loss for the same time period. This is no joke. Don't worry that "the body may get used to it" -- yes, it gets used to it, and responds beautifully. Really! Consistency is key here.

Regarding fasting & feeding related to exercise, strength training and running, can you recommend video titles for your perspectives on this topic? This area challenges my consistency due to being either weak during some workouts (mostly long runs, 5-13 miles) or feeling insatiably hungry the day after. I need to learn some adjustments and love your presentations.

Im afraid of letting my morning coffee go. Its true, i despise coffee wo cream and monkfruit. Ive tried water, lemon water, teas, matcha, black coffee...nothing cuts it. So- its the first couple/few hours after i wake thats the hardest. OMAD is producing some results but nothing earthshaking.
Eating clean otherwise. One day i 'mistakenly' went 36 hrs and i felt absolutely energized and amazing. Havent been able to repeat that fast intentionally. Fear? Fear of what- feeling bionic and creative and supremely comfortable??
Ps. On omad now for approx 6 weeks.
My only guess is, after listening to this episode : quit coffee altogether, hydrate more and add salts. 🤞
