    I have struggled with eating disorders too... but after a month or so of IF I've had a noticeable decrease in appetite, and I also allow myself to be somewhat intuitive with my eating during my feeding period, e.g. if i want pizza for my big dinner i will get it as long as it fits my calories.

      @@drmorgannolte just starting this...do pretty good but 1. Do we have to stay under ~2000 cal to lose weight. And 2. Just what is a good treat to substitute craving for cake, cookie, doughnut???

    Yay. Both of your words of wisdom continue to support me in my IF and Low Carb, Hi Fat, Med Protein lifestyle. I'm a 68 yo female with family history of diabetes on both sides (I've been pre-diabetic over the years, skin tags, poor sleep and everything else). In January, I had some serious dental work done after uncovering bone loss at the dental office. Yikes. I went into the office due to my only implant cap popping off when I flossed. Oh no! I was in shock at their findings. I was limited to using only my front teeth to chew food, soft food, like hard-boiled eggs. I ate a lot of cheese. Very slowly. Do you have any idea how long it takes to chew anything into small matter using only your front teeth? I lost my appetite to eat the same old same old for six weeks. Researched dental health instead and the road led me to insulin resistance. Ding ding ding. All the light bulbs went off. Everything about my particular life-long health made perfect sense, finally. And I started to lose weight without feeling hungry. IF popped into the equation and my caliber of health started climbing effortlessly. In less than 2 months, I could tell my body was changing in a healthy way and in less than 3 months, I've lost 20 lbs easy peasy. And I've increased my lean muscle mass by lifting hand weights and walking. My complexion is significantly improving. Even my silver white hair is growing darker in color I share my story in the hopes that your older menopausal audience might read it and take heart. At one point, I weighed over 200 lbs. Today, I weigh 150 and my goal is 130. I haven't seen that number since my college days! Your advice and videos have been instrumental in helping me learn what I needed to learn to embrace my food as medicine philosophy and listen to what my body tells me daily, now that I've helped clear it of toxin imbalances. Who knew? Keep up the great work! You have made a difference in my life

    I intermittent fast 5 days a weeks consistently. My diet is Whole Foods and I walk daily for 45 min. floor strength exercise. I need to lose weight and it won't come off this way. HOWEVER, I have never felt better! Weird. I think I need to limit carbs - that may help with losing weight. I don't want to stop fasting for how good it makes me feel, but I need the weight to come off.

    I'm confused. I've been going thru the book on audible for weeks now, planning to start tomorrow. I have planned out the first induction week using your recipes and the calories are so low! Day one: 731 calories total, day 2: 722 total, day 3: 693 total! This seems counterproductive to when you discuss most women are eating under 1000 calories a day and this is bad. It looks like you're meals this first week are roughly 25% Protein 65% fat and 10% Carbs. Should I just ask in a third meal during the 8 hours to get the calories up? I weigh 194 with an eventual goal weight of 150. My calorie goal, I believe, is around 1600-1900 a day. Help?
