I love this one. Smells more refined and classy than Oud Ispahan. OI is obviously a beast, but is too abrasive and rough around the edges.

@@razvanyke Yes, funnily enough after 24 hours I can still smell it. But it dies down to what I can only describe as synthetic ambergris. Both the new batches and old batches are strong! Which is your favourite rose-oud? Including Oud Palao?

Today I smelled Acqua Di Baviera Nero Donna, and I kept thinking it was a perfect fit for the Penhaligon's Portrait collection, and the more I smelled it, the more I thought of Sohan (Or a Halfeti/Yasmine Mix). I recommend any people interested to check it out. Between 120 euros/ 100 ml depending on the seller, I also saw it on sale for 45.

I fully agree with you and aswell i like Ombre Nomade a little more, but this is for sure manlier than the others you Mentioned.
The Reason i waited so long to buy this is the price, it is really to high as you mentioned the competition in comparison.

My friend, thanks for the feedback ! Yes indeed, Santal Royal is quite feminine, but Oud Ispahan and Oud Palao are right there. If Price/Ml would be equal, clearly Sohan wins thanks to the high quality presentation.
I love this fragrance. It's not for the weak# u wear it.. or it will wear u.. I love this in a breezy spring/summer day. Not ideal for 90-100deg F. It has wonderful sillage. I also have oud ispahan. But that one is atomic bomb ! 2 or 3 sprays max#

Oud Ispahan IMO smells pretty synthetic, especially the Oud. This one’s way more stronger and smells more natural with a great quality.
But at the end, this is just my opinion, if you smell it different, it‘s you nose 👃😊

YES. I get that too. Oud Ispahan, surprisingly, smells very rough and unrefined. It has a dirty feel to it. Pretty uncharacteristic for privee line Dior.
Sohan smells way more refined and well blended. As a result, it's a bit quiter than OI but it makes for a great date night fragrance. Smells better up close.
i have oud ispahan from dior,and this one from penhaligons and i can say,it’s same smell,i did the purchase of this penhaligons perfium because i paid half of price in web sitie,but if you have oud ispahan don’t buy this one,is same smell,incredible

Razvan, another superb fragrance review. I am a fan of Penhaligon's. I have not tried The Uncompromising Sohan but I will try it the next time I go to NYC. Have you ever smelled Roaring Radcliff from Penhaligon's? It is my favorite from the company.

Hello my friend, glad you like it :)! Sohan is Rose Oud Oriental and Cairo is a spicy oriental, quite nice I would say. Between them I would pick none. I like Mr. Sam and Halfeti Leather more. BR, Raz
Nice vid. Just a question: is this a must buy in your opinion if I love rose-oud scent? Currently have the following in my collection: Mancera Aoud Exclusif, Oman Luxury Oud Aquilaria, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi’s Al Qurashi Blend. I prefer non animalic oud and fortunately all the above are non animalic on my nose.
Hello my friend, you have some stunning scents in your collection and even if Sohan is great, I see no point in getting another oud scent. If you sell the Mancera, then maybe you can consider it :) Take care!

Ombre Nomade doesn't have Laotian Oud , it has Oud accord. Not at all real oud.
