One night, I put the tragedy of lord george on and passed out on the couch. I woke up sweating, maybe due to a fever. But man, the fragrance smelled amazing. I was shocked. It developed into something incredible. Way different than the strong shaving cream sort of smell.
I have Mr Sam and Mr Thompson in my collection currently. Mr thompson is so impressive… is a very evocative perfume if you have been to India. It really reminds me about that place. I got some earthy notes in the opening with this beautiful iris that helps to keep the fragrance not too warm and aromatic (that’s why you don’t have to trust those who say that is similar to spicebomb extreme). Then it becomes a little sweeter with this nice vanilla in the background
@@renonagasanwhere in india did you go? Because cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, and everything in between are sewage and disgusting with a bovine dung smell. The People are dirty, rude, incompetent and have a scamming mentality, damped sweaty from the humidity, I would never compare a perfume to India
smelled Mr. Thompson at Saks in NYC yesterday, very nice Iris forward scent. Long lasting, smells powdery and over all, nothing too new but classy. (I picked up Mr. Sam.)
I'm so sorry your Lady Blanche bottle broke in transit, you could've taken it to the store and they'll replace it for you! Love the Portraits Collection too, my favourites are: Changing Constance, The Bewitching Yasmine and Clandestine Clara (in that order)😍 Thanks for sharing, subscribed! 🫶
Hi I used to own Penhaligon portrait - Mr Harrods, changing Constance, Yasmine, Clara, teddy, heartiness Helen, cousin flora, monsieur beauregard. But I sold away, current left with Yasmine , monsieur beauregard and Clara. I think moving forward, I will only get Yasmine as I find that the perfume is nice and unique IMO. I’m living in a hot weather country and Yasmine is nice
Valid. We all have different tolerance to different notes in certain situations / climates. If you get the chance, try out Arthur. The vanilla isn't too creamy and sweet so it's still good for hotter climates!
Same. Yasmine is definitely unisex. Even though it has prominent florals, it's also constrasted with a lot of darker woody elements to offset it.@@112233JORDAN
Terrible Teddy smells RIDICULOUSLY good. I wish it lasted longer. I decant it and carry it with me so I can spritz before heading into a public setting so it always smells freshly applied.
I always get plenty of compliments wearing 'The Tragedy of Lord George'. It really is an amazing scent and the women love it!. Unfortunately Its true that it does not last very long, so I would spray 6 times in the morning, then just a few sprays to top up in the early afternoon and then again in the evening. Always good to decanter some in a little atomiser to carry around with you ;-)
It’s a pity isn’t it? For something that’s as expensive as this it should last for a whole day lol but I guess they wanted to keep it very british and very modest and not loud
I collect perfumes, all kinds & a lot of them however I have always bought to use. I was considering starting to collect zoologist but the new bottles kinda look like decant bottles. I just got 6x 10ml of these & NOT the travel sprays … 10 ‘deluxe mini’s’ … I’m not going to use them they are for curio display BUT I need 3 more to have all 9 only in 10ml … I can’t find them anywhere 😢
I have 5 of the penhaligons portraits range and to be honest for the cost they do not seem to last as long as one would expect for a perfum of this quality
Tragedy of Lord George I love, could you be so kind as to give me some help on telling me, what other perfumes have the scent profile as Lord George, its the elegance and smoothness that I can't get enough of, thank you beforehand, really appreciate it, thanks for your video
@@renonagasanI think that vetiver fragrance is seriously underrated. I would never guess from hearing about vetiver through fragrance videos that it would be one of my favs.
I think the magic here comes from the balance. Had this vetiver been a lot more prominent say like in the same intensity as Terre d'Hermes, it wouldn't have the same impact. Glad it's actually balanced with a bit of creamy sandlwood-y undertone!@@112233JORDAN
I don't think Penhaligons in general is a brand you should go to if you're looking for beast mode perfumes. But they do still have weight to them. I would recommend checking out Mr Sam or Mr Harrod if you get the chance.
I wouldn't say so. Although I understand why others would think so probably because of its sweetness with a hit of floral freshness. But the dominating qualities are the western oud, vanilla, and spices, all of which I think are very unisex
Interestingly enough, I who loves rose perfumes, The Duke didn't appeal to me as much as these ones on my list. But I can see where your sentiment is coming from. The Duke is very different from any of these.

The drydown of Lord George really is very sexy!

It has a connection to India? Now I'm definitely interested!

Yasmine is amazing. I'm a guy and I personally would wear it myself. I got it free as a sample and was like WOW one of my favs from penhaligon's

This was one of the best reviews I've seen. Great job!
Thank you so much for the support! ✨
The inimitable penhaligon smells absolutely amazing. Just bought me a bottle
Good choice! The smell of a modern gentleman!
Terrible Teddy smells RIDICULOUSLY good. I wish it lasted longer. I decant it and carry it with me so I can spritz before heading into a public setting so it always smells freshly applied.
Underrated perfume! But yes I agree about the longevity!

Lord George is definitely beautiful and unique! If you like it I would highly recommend checking out William Penhaligon!

Dokie, What is your rating for mr. THOMPSON
Is Dorothea and mr Sam Discontinued? Cannot find it on the web....
not sure about the discontinuation of these but I still see them in a few boutiques I've been to
In terms of favorite based on bottle, Lord George has nothing on the World According to Arthur with its cool dragon head.
I agree, Arthur is beautiful. But to each his own!
how about longevity? which one is the "beast"? would like start my collection of pens with the "beast" one 😉

Sohan or Mr. Sam probably. Mr. Sam is quite strong on me and I’ve just got Sohan, but it is meant to be quite strong as well.
Subbed. Enjoyed the video
