When you are on a court it actually feels big, this video is not showing the justice or I think John is just a big guy so it looks small compared to him :D
We need camera angles like this on tv. The camera placement they give us removes any sense of speed or spin. When you see the game from this point of view you begin to understand the talent of the top players. Federer’s serve isn’t that powerful but he places it beautifully with tremendous spin and movement. His ground strokes are so beautiful even when he misses. Isner has an incredible first serve but not much else. I wish television would do more to immerse the viewers in the match.
Incredible first serve but not much else is a wild statement. Those initial forehands were so massive that fed was having a hard time controlling them. Just needed more consistency.
they are trying new things here and there buts its hard, its easier to just whack up 1 camera on the top and done, if they had court level / spider cam views it takes a lot of extra effort, plus u cant really see the player on the other side, so overall the current view is best, but i do would like to see different angles here and there
Because you can see everything from the standard view without the camera moving. Simple as that. Sure you can't see the best of everything, but you can see everything.
THIS IS A MUCH BETTER CAMERA ANGLE THAN THE ONE THEY USUALLY USE. Here you can better see the technique and style and the speed of the play...easier to actually learn something.
@@prophet116 I think with heavy topspin on the ball now, this is helpful to just see the height of the ball but I think you're right. Not sure how this is going to be helpful for learning

I’d say Isner has had a pretty amazing career considering his height. There’s a reason you don’t see 6’11’’ tennis players. He took his strengths and made a solid career out of them.
The reason that you don’t see tennis players of this height is because there are not many people in this world that are 6’11”. He is a good height for tennis. His height is what allows him to generate such tremendous serve speed.
@@BrUh-em5um Not entirely true. Massive height allows for a faster/easier serve, but less agile on groundstrokes. Tennis is not likely basketball, around 6' to 6'3 is ideal for agility.
Del Potro was 6'6". So was Cilic. But yeah, it's hard to play tennis at 6'10". Very hard. The footwork involves a lot of quick tiny steps and it's not ideal when your legs are so long.
@@MrSoccerball100 Which is why he ALWAYS had so many 7-6 sets. All he had was a serve and he couldn't break anyone. Too tall for the sport for sure. 6'2 range is a great height for a player.

What’s incredible is just how Federer returned the biggest servers with ease most of the time from Roddick to Isner, Karlovic etc, timing is insane to be able to do it consistently. Tours not the same without him despite Djokovic, CA , Nadal etc is just not the same.
Yeah. Nole can win the next 20 tourneys in a row, and he's still nowhere near top form Fed. Or Nadal for that matter. He has a killer work ethic, but he'll never be a GOAT.
@@DNA2000-8bit You are so wrong it is laughable. He beat top form of both of them on multiple occasions. You, like most fed fans, probably think that when Federer was 20 and went on that long streak of number one was when he was in his prime playing his best tennis. Federer HIMSELF said that his best tennis ever was in wimbledon of 2018 when he lost to Djokovic for the second time at Wimbledon. His level continued rising past 20 years old, he adjusted his game because he did not want to continue long rallies against Nadal Or Djokovic, but everyone thinks once he changed to a serve and volley his prime was over. Djokovic is only 5 years younger than Federer, and one year younger than Nadal, the age difference is not detrimental. You know what is detrimental? Playing tennis on an allergic reaction. Djokovic found did not realize he was allergic to gluten until he was 24 years old (2011) and once he switched his diet it was immediately over for Nadal and Federer. They both had HUGE leads in the H2H against Djokovic, but once he realized he had a gluten allergy it was over for them, aside from Nadal on Clay at the French open. Isner’s strategy: serve bombs. Federer’s: get into 2 or more stroke rally.
