A “beast of burden” is basically a work animal - like a mule or a horse that has to pull something or carry something for someone. Mick’s basically saying I’m not your door mat I think.
"Wild Horses", "Ruby Tuesday", "Angie", "She's A Rainbow", "As Tears Go By"all feature a different side of the Stones you two really need to experience!!
😎 these are all of my favorite Rolling Stones songs I was gonna suggest to them, you nailed them! Also sympathy of the devil but yeah Angie’s in my top 3 for sure… hopefully they will react to one of these soon✌️💕
Oh, my life! Along with a couple of others, I was also going to suggest these. What a fantastic cotalogue of music the stones will leave behind when they finally leave the business.
Beast Of Burden refers to a work animal like an OX or Horse. The beast takes on the burden of labour for a farmer etc. Love this song, next check out "Under my Thumb"
My favorite Stones songs besides this one: “Tumbling Dice” “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”. Also, “Waiting on a Friend” has a vibe like this song. Also, a beast of burden is an animal that carries heavy stuff on its back - like a mule, donkey, or (I suppose) a camel.
Love the stones they were the last concert my mom saw when she had a year to live fighting liver cancer and the make a wish foundation gave her tickets to see them at the Toyota center in Houston Texas
From the Stones same album, "Some Girls", I HIGHLY recommend the songs: "Miss You" and "Shattered". And another Stones song that "Beast of Burden" reminds me of is: "Waiting on a Friend" from their "Tattoo You" album three years after "Some Girls".
More Stones: "Jumping Jack Flash" "19th Nervous Breakdown" "Mother's Little Helper" "Let's Spend the Night Together" "Heartbreaker" "Rip This Joint" "Rocks Off" "Dance Little Sister" "She Was Hot" "Mixed Emotions" "Between a Rock and a Hard Place." From the album "Beast of Burden" is on: "Respectable" "Shattered" and their brief trip into disco, "Miss You." Beware of anyone suggesting that you react to the innocent-sounding Stones song, "Star Star"--it's a great song, but raunchy lyrics that leave nothing to the imagination.
I suggest: Get Off Of My Cloud, Out Of Time, Mothers Little Helper, Dandelion, Angie, Miss You and both of you will groove to Harlem Shuffle or Emotional Rescue - 2 very different Stones songs.
The two sides of the initial " British Invasion", the relatively clean cut Beatles and the rowdy Rolling Stones!! The Beatles may have been bigger, but lord the Stones could rock!!!
The stones have one of the best Discographies ever. For hard hitting, cool, mean rock listen to honky tonk woman, brown sugar and can’t you hear me knocking.
Love this one, and you're right it's very bluesy as many of the Rolling Stone songs are. Check out 'Gimme Shelter', 'Start Me Up', 'Emotional Rescue', 'Jumpin Jack Flash' and 'Paint It Black'.
I'm TELLING you both, Stones, Can't You Hear Me Knockin. They rock it out at the start, then get into one of the coolest jam sessions. You will both love it
I just want to brag a little bit here, my brother is a musician and has been in bands all his life. Last summer the band he is currently in opened half a dozen times for the Rolling Stones for there American tour. Recently, he informed the family that the Stones want them to go to Amsterdam to open for them there!!! It's pretty exciting and I just had to share!!! :D i love what you two do, keep it up!!! I have since found out that they will be opening for them for 3 of their European Concerts. The name of the group is The Ghost Hounds and my brother is their keyboard man. The Ghost Hounds have a facebook page with some of their music, if anyone might be interested.

Rolling Stones - She's so Cold - Angie - Wild Horses - Ruby Tuesday - Emotional Rescue - Waiting on a Friend - Can't you hear me Knocking - Tumbling Dice - Sympathy for the Devil
Great selection! Really picked one of the best Stones here. Charlie Watts was such a unique drummer. This version really separates the Ronnie and Keith guitars. Look for Bette Midler's cover of this tune with Mick. Hopefully you could react to the theatrical version with no problems . Thank you. Thank you. Oh! A beast of burden is a cruelly-treated donkey overloaded with a lot of stuff. My fav live tune is "Sympathy for the Devil" version from "Get Yer Ya Yas Out". There's no video version I'm aware of...
back in the 70s i bought a Quadraphonic stereo ! with 8 tracks casettes ! but there was only a few bands who did Quadraphonic 8 track casettes and The Rolling Stones was one of em ! also the BeeGees and Aquarius song from i can t remember wich band ! i m 66 years old ! my memory is not that good anymore ! LoL
We got to see "The Stones" a few years back. We were shocked to see Mick Jager running, skipping and jumping all over the stage. I am talking a full-size stage with a really long runway out into the stadium. The sound was great, and we were so excited to get to see the guys play live. It was an experience of a lifetime and a definite bucket list event!
Whenever I listened to the Stones, they always remind me of a bunch of friends at a cookout, jamming around a bonfire. There is just a relaxed feeling that sounds like they are just jamming on the front porch.
I finally got to see them for the first time a few years ago in Seattle (I'm 68). They played all the hits and then some. Sympathy for the Devil is a must . What a show . RIP Charlie Watts
Also as far as the Stones go...Waitng on a Friend is one of their best in my opinion...love the music in it...again..just my opinion...I tend to pay more attention to the instrumentals than the words sometimes but the words are good too. The instrumentals are really good in Quarterflashes Find Another Fool....I know how impressed you were with her sax playing in your first reaction to them but its much better in Find Another Fool...she is outstanding.
There are 50+ Stones songs on my playlist. Here are a few of mine you may not have heard. Can’t You Here Me Knocking, She So Cold, Heartbreaker, Shattered, Monkey Man, Doom and Gloom. Note Doom and Gloom was from 2012
From Keith Richards: “Those who say it’s about one woman in particular, they’ve got it all wrong. We were trying to write for a slightly broader audience than just Anita Pallenberg or Marianne Faithfull. Although that’s not to say they didn’t have some influence in there somewhere. I mean, what’s close by is close by! I’ve always felt it’s one of my best soul songs. It was another strict collaboration between Mick and me. I think I had the first verse-‘I’ll never be your beast of burden’-along with the hook, and we were still working very much in our traditional way: Here’s the idea, here’s the song, now run away and fill it in! Some of the theories surrounding it are very intriguing, but they’re about as divorced from reality as can be. I find it quite amusing that there are people in the world who spend a lot of their time trying to decode something that is, at the end of the day, completely undecodable. I mean, even I’ve forgotten the code!”
“Tumbling Dice” “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking”. Also, “Waiting on a Friend” all great choices from the rolling stones. I mean you can't go wrong with any song by them... just a fact of life. You also mentioned something about a river vibe you were getting from this song. Well you might want to react to David Wilcox "Riverboat Fantasy" in that case. A great song that definitely has that river vibe!
I wore the grooves off of the Respectable track. Listening to the driving beat and the two guitars dance with each other blew me away. It still gives me goosebumps and makes me feel 25 again.
One of my Top 5 Stones songs! And Mick will be 79 next month. Elton John is 75, and Paul McCartney is 80, and both are also currently still performing. Amazing!
One of the greatest concert films is, imo, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones. Filmed at their absolute peak in the early 70s. Check out Happy! or Midnight Rambler from that one.
The Rolling Stones had a lot of competition through out their career. The Beatles, Areosmith , for rockers to name some. He did a duo with David Bowie -Dancing in the Street. The Rolling Stone in the 80's had six albums out but Tatoo You and Emotional Rescue was big ones in the 80's . They have had albums since 1964 . Let's spend the night together, Brown sugar,Honky Talk women, You can't always get what you want, and waiting on a friend. Great songs hard to say wich is better live.
Aerosmith wasn’t competition. They were an attempt at being a copy cat band. Tyler stole Jaggers look. Perry copied Richards look down to the leather and white poets shirt and the eyeliner and hairstyle. Even put the blond streak in his hair that Keith did in 72-72. Then on top of that The two from Aerosmith called themselves the Toxic Twins which is a rip off of Jagger and Richards being The Glimmer Twins. Their only competition ever were the Beatles. Richards gives them the nod and said they started it all and the Stones wouldn’t have been around if not for the Beatles
They are releasing a new album this October 20th. First one in 18 years. You will never see a concert like the Stones put on. I've seen them twice, the last time being two years ago in October. Brought my kids with. Have never seen my 25 year old son dancing and singing so much before... we had a blast. If they go on tour to promote their new album PLEASE go see them while they're still with us. You will not regret it. Love you guys.
Bette Midler does a great version of this song. The Stones are amazing live. They do an amazing version of this song on stage. Mick is a great communicator and Keith's guitar keeps chugging away l
Released in 1978, Beast of Burden is one of so many bluesy songs. The Stones came out during the British Invasion of music in the sixties and followed the blues track of music whereas the Beatles followed the pop side. So amazing!
Saw them in 87 in a football stadium, awesome. Before they came on stadium was dark, then boom!, two big explosions on the stage then Jagger and band started with Start me up, which is a great song to listen to for you two. Stones have so many hits 1964-2000’s
"Shes so Cold" and "Shattered" are their best tunes. The vocals are mind blowing in both of them. Of course, "Driving too Fast" is a real gem that no one ever talks about.
So many to choose from with the Stones, their scope and variety over the years is iconic. Check out "Angie", "She's So Cold" or "Hang Fire". So many options, go crazy!!!
As a "baby boomer" (72 y.o.), I recall the RS's and the Beatle's being two of the top1 British Invasion bands who got their start back in the early '60s, first in Europe and later moving across the "Pond" to the States. When they got here, one of their first gigs was on the Ed Sullivan show in NYC, a weekly hour-long variety show that was very popular for many years. Their acts filled concert halls and sports stadiums. At first their songs came out on 45 rpm records, which were monaural and held only two songs, one per side. Then later in the '60s they moved to the 33 1/3 rpm stereo albums. Their songs were almost always on the top 40 stations like WABC in NYC hosted by the disc jockeys Cousin Brucie and Harry Harrison and on the west coast, Wolfman Jack. Those and other bands experimented with many different sounds and themes and their music was a major influence on my generation. Of course, many parents, like my own, were horrified by this 'new' and different sound.
The music you hear is composed by Keith Richards. He always said, it’s not the rock, rather it’s the roll. Listen to how Keith’s guitar puts the “roll” into your spine! Jagger lights it on fire. Perfect ying and Yang.
Stone's brilliance exampled in this one song. The secret I think of The Stones music is that it always sounds loose and relaxed when it is really tight. The guitar work on this is phenomenal - layered , subtle, tasteful and perfect.
I'm a Stones fan through and through. One of my favorite memories involving a Stones song was from The Big Chill. My mom loves cleaning house while the movie rolls because the soundtrack is on point. She was working in a corner of her room, I was sitting on her bed watching the movie when JoBeth Williams is on the church organ, playing her friend's favorite song. I look at my mom and say, "This is the Rolling Stones, isn't it? You Can't Always Get What You Want?" I recognized the song on the organ before they transitioned to the Stones. Mom was shocked because I was about 9 at the time. Great song and great band.
They have endless catalog of great songs. Blues, rock n roll, country, jamaican funky, disco. Plus all the ballads, And yeah you should also check out their live performances or official music videos!
There are certain artists that you'll be reacting to as long as you have this channel. They just have so many songs that you'll never run out. Among them are The Beatles, Prince, Billy Joel, Elton John, and of course The Rolling Stones. I'll recommend "Slave", and "Fool To Cry" from their vast catalog.
This is one of my favorite Rolling Stones hits! My favorite live performance was Mick Jagger with Tina Turner at Live Aid in 1985. They performed a medley of State of Shock and Its Only Rock and Roll! It’s really an amazing performance! FYI: Beast of burden is a term used to describe an animal used to carry heavy loads such as a donkey or mule!❤️❤️
Of course I seen the Rolling Stones sing this song live in Anaheim Angels stadium was my first time seeing the stones to many great songs for me to pick one out for you to play love you guys keep up the great work!
A “beast of burden” is basically a work animal - like a mule or a horse that has to pull something or carry something for someone. Mick’s basically saying I’m not your door mat I think.
This was my wife's favorite Stones song, she always sang it loud and off key but it made me smile.
You Can’t Always Get What You Want by The Stones is one of their best
Is it bad for them to watch the live version first? I absolutely love that version
They did it already (the live version): ua-cam.com/video/AlSJapOkehU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RobSquadReactions

Wild Horses!! Shattered!!

You must watch him. Live! One of the best EVER! Mick is BIG into exercising and is just INCREDIBLE!
My all time favourite Stones tune. Thank you.
Greatest Rock N Roll band ever 🤘🤘🎸
There’s an awesome live version of this!!! One of my favorite stone songs!!!!
Saw them in concert last October. Thay are still AMAZING!!!!!
The music you hear is composed by Keith Richards. He always said, it’s not the rock, rather it’s the roll.
Listen to how Keith’s guitar puts the “roll” into your spine!
Jagger lights it on fire.
Perfect ying and Yang.
I saw the Stones a few months ago as well as the 80’s. He still doesn’t miss a beat. Still rocking!!
Stone's brilliance exampled in this one song. The secret I think of The Stones music is that it always sounds loose and relaxed when it is really tight. The guitar work on this is phenomenal - layered , subtle, tasteful and perfect.
"Beast of Burden" & "Waiting on a Friend" are my favourite Rolling Stones songs.
Plus all the ballads,
And yeah you should also check out their live performances or official music videos!
I saw them on their second US tour in 1964. The Stones rabbit hole is DECADES deep. Hundreds of songs. Get to it! Love ya, PJ 😘
You can never go wrong with some stones music 🎶 🎵 👌
You can't go wrong with The Stones. They are so classic
One of my favs
Classic! Stones!
WOW!!!! If this band can survive the long haul, they might actually be a great band.....
I remember seeing the Stones perform this on SNL in 78/79. RIP Charlie and Bill.
Bill Wyman is alive, just retired
@@markcornish2519 Uh oh, my mistake. Apologies Bill.
Y'all would love "Miss You"! Such a groove!
What you guys really need is "Miss You."
You'll love it!!!
God blessed Mick with the common man ability to pull-off every singing style
Can’t you hear me knocking!!! Best Stones jam!!!!
Rolling Stones is the best concert i have ever been to. I have family members who have attended a huge number of concerts and they say the same thing.
My mother's favorite song. I love and miss you mom.
Wild Horses, Give me Shelter, Angie, Miss You, are some fantastic Stones gold nuggets!
Of course I seen the Rolling Stones sing this song live in Anaheim Angels stadium was my first time seeing the stones to many great songs for me to pick one out for you to play love you guys keep up the great work!
