It helps me a lot when people like Saulo Ribeiro talk for like ten minutes. I love it!

Respect the technique shown in the video and person showing it. Don't come to his video to bash his competition strategy and dredge up the past.
    Good stuff, Keenan.

I utilize spider guard and leg lacing often however nobody at the school uses it. One of our partner schools came recently, I was able to use this video to aid in grip breaking against them when the attempt was there. Thank you for the upload!

Wow, I just noticed that in every video the way Keenan explains his methods is very clear, I can sense that he is a really good teacher. :D

I like these wrist turning details. Definitely going to start playing with that. Thanks!

I hear you and understand. Keenan is a SOLID kid. And I, as you, still refer to him as a kid.

Just had some issues with that belt grab this last weekend in competition. Thanks much for that advice!

I like learning this for class but my main goal in BJJ is always to be able to protect myself on the street. Am I wrong thinking no gi is better for that ? Sorry, dumb white belt question. Thx

Awesome video. I'm a brand new white belt and the ends of my sleeves always get gripped tight when I roll and was looking for a simple way to break that grip. Glad you showed the spider gaurd too, that's usually where it happens. The inside of my right bicep hates slide gaurd 😂

@@bryann9182 damnnn. Purple belt in 5 years? That’s kinda cool to think as a possibility in the next 4 or so years for me.

@@JiuJitsuTrashcan Yeah man just stay consistent. I competed as much as I could at white and blue, and did as many competition classes as possible. This definitely helped accelerate my progress a lot.

@guyfriendly7 MY POINT EXACTLY! We both agree. You fought a war by 20 and I was a college freshman at 17 and was damn near ready to graduate at 20. We were taught a higher level of independence, we didn't have iPhones and all of this peripheral BS. We had more responsibility. That's not to speak less of Keenan. His WHOLE generation is like that. And for all intents and purposes, he has much growing up to do but the environment where he was, was not created for personal growth.

You are missing the point that Keenan, for all intents and purposes was and is a kid. A sapling of sorts. When you hear something about someone that you've entrusted your life to that you cannot soundly know for sure, it's realistic to hesitate. Give the young man a break and leave it alone. If what you are saying isn't meant for the edification or building up of a person or a situation, it is best left alone.
I hope that answered your question and my God bless you.
    Keenan's a good kid.
