"the elbow won't reach me" ... his fist might dumbass
Thank you very much.
Talk too much
I got caught up in a triangle set up I did not like a few weeks ago. I’ve been obsessed with figuring out options
Omg!!! Thank you so much
My baked ass thought he was triangling himself in the thumbnail 😮💨
Almost had this other day. But forgot to control high on the wrist. ....
"...so when it happens to you, you've been there before"
Fácil e prático! Bom demais esses 2 Reis da guarda! Irmãos myao
We need to be careful about omoplata after when we escape triangle
I've been using this successfully for all my training. Love it.
Came here to figure out how to break belt grips. Thank you
Excellent.....
I like learning this for class but my main goal in BJJ is always to be able to protect myself on the street. Am I wrong thinking no gi is better for that ? Sorry, dumb white belt question. Thx
You sound like gsp lol
Lister is the Bud Spencer of MMA
Wanna know why he can survive long in the tri is bc he has a treetrunk neck! TOQUINHO NECK LOL yo toquinho means HOMEM TEM JEITO lol
6years ago, i try to defend triangle from my coach .today i still cant defend it .
When I tried this I ended up getting knee bared. Anyone have any tips to avoid kneebar?
When I do it instead of going right up the middle I go right behind the knee so when I bring the other one around their ready to kick the legs out
He holds on the the belt. Not just to pull them into the back take but also to push the hips away from the knee bar. 2 in 1 use.
Dean fights on such a full spectrum dominance level, even in the fog of combat, thinking seemingly several moves ahead on positioning locks, that his nickname should be Dean "Check Mate" Lister or Dean "OODA LOOP Assailant" Lister. What a delight to watch Dean conduct his mental and physical chess game on the octagon board. Bravo for the visual treats in this video, and the glimpse of a true professional at his craft. It's Dean's world when he enters the octagon and the opponents, though professionals themselves, often just look like pawns on the octagon game board.
Can’t wait to go breaking all the grips in my class tmr. ( *laugh in white belt* )
This is NOT A TRIANGLE CHOKE people
Wow! What a nice technique? I fond of you.
Great transition/counter to get some wiggle room to move. Its kind of similar to a stiff arm jam that I learned to stop an armbar....kinda
By the way anyone watching this in 2020, this technique is now illegal! Not allowed to throw anyone directly over their head/neck anymore. You can go for the yoko sumi gaeshi which is more to the side and over the shoulder than the head.
Damn. Lame.
in what ? bjj or judo? should be perfectly legal in judo
@@reigninblood123 BJJ - I only mentioned it as the video is titled 'sumi for BJJ'. I had to learn this myself as yoko sumi gaeshi is my main throw in BJJ and ive had to learn never to go for this sumi variation.
@@mowgli123456789 I honestly think that this is fine.
@@reigninblood123 Well it depends on the ruleset obviously, but in IBJJF competition there is a rule where the wording is such that people have just refrained from attempting this technique, because if you dont hit it perfectly you can get DQ'd. If Jimmy in this case just touched Travis leg it would be considered a sacrifice throw as a defence to the single leg while the opponents head is on the outside. In that case if Jimmys head even slightly touches the floor you can get a ref DQ you.... (obviously each ref is different too...).
Brilliant dean and thank you for sharing your knowledge
Who gogoplataed Keenan?
this guy looks pretty good, someone promote him
Brown belt Keenan
This is one of the first videos I ever watched when I started training like 3 years ago I was like I have no clue who this dude is butt he seems to know what he's saying obviously now I'm a huge fan and follow his career
Finally
🙏🙏🙏
What's the "manoplata"?
You might be ok in a low level match but the minute you put that hand down on the mat and turn like that the arm bar is coming, and the maybe the triangle be again or omoplata... Just saying though...
George Wheeler negative, it’s looks like that but no.
Effective
This is awesome :)
Pft.
2:04 me good hand/wrist model lol
nockelsl punch in the eyes, ribs and nerve in the leggs. Can learn that in 3 days.
just eye, ball and bite and the whole bbj is over
Wow this is insane
Uma mão de vaca bem simples
That is absolutely NOT what he does in competitions to take people's back. That was perfect world scenario. Still dope though. I was hoping this was the one the the lapel under the leg.
Gold Dee they just bolo their way into everything lol
I do this in No-Gi(and it’s definitely effective) and the Miyao brothers definitely do this when the opponent stands to defend getting Berimboloed. There’s plenty of clips demonstrating this during comps. You must be talking about reverse de la riva back takes
Weeell you should've used that when Keenan got you on a triangle on Polaris :D
Hana it was from the back so this escape wouldn’t have worked
Unorthodoxy? Yes. Effective? Yes. and that's the key is to do something your opposition hasn't really seen before so that way it confuses him on how to counter it.
Awesome Tec ty so much will be working this tonight at www.tenbearsmma.com
this guy is depressing.
Next time, boom mic :)
Sean Cannon I love the smile at the end. Shows that you know who you’re talking to ;)
nice
OMG! I’m gonna use that for sure
Not on me bro
I caught a purple belt 4 years ago when I first watched this but couldn't finish it cause he started freaking out bridging and jerking around. Still think it's a good move cause I almost caught a purple belt as a 3 stripe white belt.
