Love your content. As strictly a BJJ guy that has much respect for Judo I love how you cross explain the techniques between the two. I’ve been getting asked lately where I learned that takedown and I tell them it’s from this channel. Thank you sir.
Sankyu in Judo, brown belt in BJJ, and currently working my way slowly through Jimmy Pedro's Grip Like a Champion series. I can see connections between this and that, and really appreciate your insight on a couple extra details. Thanks, Shintaro! More grip fighting videos!!

great video! Would love to see more video about grip fighting
great content as always thank you
will you cover left vs right too?
A wrestler wouldn’t hand fight with their lead hand either, it means they’re not guarding that front leg
Great video, great info. Thanks, fellas!
Learning tons from you! Thank you
Thank you for making this video.
can you make a ashiwaza combination video ( competetive version)
He has two videos on Judo Fanatics about ashiwaza
Nice details!
What are the best throws or trips/ takedowns a smaller guy can do on a heavier bigger person for self defense
seoi nage, sumi gaeshi and different kinds of sweeps have worked well for me. anytime i have to use too much leverage its much harder with big guys
fucking gold
if you pull guard without going for a throw you shouldn't be doing martial arts!
