I've owned several res guitars over the years. For blues playing, they are better for all bottleneck acoustic blues. Son House, Huddie Ledbetter etc. Personally I think they sound better with a steel slide. Cowboy chord strumming is good but very distinctive. I'd recommend having a gander online at how they work, the variations in the different mechanisms and possible problems. If you don't do that you can very easily end up with a wall hanger.
While I don't have a need/desire for this guitar, I do own many Firefly guitars and they are really quite nice, regardless of price.

Haha the spitfire shirt comment was hilarious. I love the looks and sound of that thing. If I ever get an acoustic electric, I might just go for this seeing as I love my firefly and the blues. Because who’s gonna complain if Sunday worship is a little more bluesy 😃

I have a Cozart Resonator 335 style and love it. This guitar sounds great as well.
The totally acoustic version of this demo makes me wish that I actually had an affinity for the Firefly Brand. It definitely seems to resemble some of the classic resonator guitar models of old.

Bought the double cut model resonator today. $189 plus $27 to ship. Hope it's great. I was looking at the Recording King Dirty 30's for $399. But found the Firefly has higher fret access and it's $200 cheaper...
