Thank you for this. from the bottom when they are in the mount, what about from a sort of "helmet guard" driving the points of your elbows into the tops of their thighs and then maybe grabbing their head as they come forward, pulling it to your chest/shoulder and biting them, (or making them think you are going to), then bridge and roll....or eye-gouges etc in a more self-defence situation where it's potentially life or death
If you are in a disadvantaged position and you start defending yourself in a “dirty” way, it COULD help. But, if you are already in a bad position and you start biting/eye gouging - whats more likely to happen is your attacker will get angrier and use similar or worse dirty tactics on you. If someone has you mounted, its already super dangerous for you, its best to fight the “position” first and get them off of you rather than relying on biting and scratching. Of course in a life/death situation you will resort to whatever works, however you need to be aware of the best course of action at thre time.
@@LondonSelfDefenceAcademy I agree, I think this also comes down to the individual situation , yes the basic "assume they are armed and assume there is more than one of them" , works in some ways, and mostly you really do not "want" to go to the ground, on the whole, you don't really know whether it's a "match fight" or a life-or-death fight until is, but I think your point about fighting the position and "fighting clean" if appropriate are very valid, the main thing being to put them down hard and fast, with appropriate tools
