I totally agree! Side note: I feel like extroverts get a bad rap because they’re not seen as shy, and edgy (when those things don’t have anything to do with introversion or extroversion) and are seen as arrogant, self absorbed, or perky, or something like that. Those things are not true for all extroverts and those things don’t have to do with whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert.
@@snoovian7951 true and kinda the same for introvertd: don't know how to Deal with people, want people to Take Care of Things for them etc. I don't even understand what the people even want
The ultimate extrovert problem is the fear of being annoying. Most people think that extroverts don't have anxiety but I constantly worry that I'm bothering people :')
At one point, I was a suicidal extrovert and I have people straight up underestimating me, scared of me, and calling me a whore and childish for being an extrovert
SAME! Everyone thinks I am an introvert JUST because i get afraid if i say the wrong thing and i ask people what i should say to their own friends. That isnt the case, its just i dont want to make a bad impression. I LOVE being around people and being alone just seems boring to me. The pandemic has worsened my need of social interaction, its like i get a burst of energy when i see someone OTHER than my family.
Very cool of you to talk about extrovert problems. It's usually all about introverts and to be fair there's a lot of problems we have, however on that notion it's assumed extroverts are these super social beings with no weaknesses whatsoever, and I think this video does it justice to say "Well yeah, but here's the thing", followed by some cool anecdotal mythbusting. P.S The cat Noir Reference and cat ear Emmy made my day. I never saw myself getting into a show like Miraculous but here we are.
Buutttt if you go missing/get murdered or something, since more people recognize you the more likely it is for someone to notice where you were last seen. Also the more people looking for someone missing, means more attention to the case and concern= more likely coverage on possible news = more awareness=more people knowing and being on the possible lookout which ULTIMATELY increases your chances of being found and alive too!!! (Sorry I've watching been alot of CSI) Now you know your likiness of being alive if in such a situation are increased!!!!!
I really like this take on extroversion! It breaks the misconception that extroverts are just party-heads. And yes like Maaz, I wouldn't have guessed you were on the extrovert spectrum after our brief meeting at vidcon lol
Domics OH MY GOD i was hoping you wouldnt actually remember me YIKES and thank you! I think I just lack the confidence when meeting people for the first time haha
I, as an introvert, find it wayy more enjoyable to do things alone since i can actually be myself. Idk, i just hate working together with someone since then i feel like i get nothing done.
@cheetahpizza2888 Imo people say that because a person who sits alone and takes a lot of time to better her/his art skill sounds like an introvert rather than extrovert
@@theguybehindyou1157 what do you call someone who is 72% introvert and 28% extrovert? I think I fall in that category. Pretty much just an introvert who can create barely enough small talk to get by.
I relate more to introverts honestly, but I can also charge up from social interaction. Like, interacting with friends charges the short term battery and being alone charges the long term battery. I get a sudden boost of energy when I meet with someone in the morning, but don't truly rest until I'm alone.
I really like your explanation of this, it’s hard to explain to friends that although I do love going out I need alone time to recharge during the week.

It’s weird, but I always feel conflicted about if I’m an extrovert or introvert because it wholly depends on the kinds of people I’m seeing. Some people drain me totally and make me want to just go home, and some people make me feel I can conquer the world after seeing them. You know?
You could be an ambivert like me , it’s basically a part of both extrovert and ambivert, but it’s up to you on which one you want to classify yourself as.
I just found your channel and this is so me! I’m an Asian (which is besides the point) extrovert who went to drawing class with only introverted friends. I never hear people point out the struggles of being an extrovert, but this video finally made me feel seen!😭 Sometimes it’s lonely being the only extrovert, asking if someone wants to hang out just for everyone to answer “sorry, I don’t have energy”😓

Great video. Explained perfectly what being introvert and an extrovert mean. My friends were always extremely confused with me because I'm a heavy introvert but I love doing public speeches and being a host in any school event or something but I hate when they invite me to parties shopping etc multiple days in a row.
My way of talking to people: Step 1: Look at another person. Step 2: Akward silence Step 3: Voice cracks while I’m saying Hello Step 4: Walk away Step 5: Regret everything
LUCKY! YOU ACTUALLY SAY SOMETHING! I just go back and forth in my head and then realize I was actually pacing back and forth, which then gets me more panicky and sometimes I do a little dance where I jump in a circle because I can't pace fast enough and then just give up and semi-crouch in a ball. I also, at this point forget someone is there and am thoroughly surprised out of my wits when the other person says, "Hello!" first. Or I turn around and find someone directly behind me watching the whole ordeal unfold. Or I actually say, "Hi!" With the voice squeak and after the other person says, "Hello...?" I THEN awkwardly stand there and flail my arms before I inform them either: 3. i DOn'T knOW wHaT TO do WITH mY HaAaAaAaANNNNDSS! *flail with more fervor* 2. *snaffles* (Snort laughs) 4. all of the above 1. 0^0...=///_\\\= T-T NO ONE EVER HEARS ME! Emirichu's thoughts: "Time is fleeting so quickly." "What will become of my life in the future?" "Am I prepared for the inevitability of death?" And then, the true question: "Why do cats like bread so much?"
The fact that Emirichu can't do the most mundane of tasks (i.e. taking out the garbage) alone, it just makes her all the more precious. She's like a puppy that thrives on having other people around
My biggest extrovert problem is that I’m a shy, non-partying extrovert who relies on her (mostly introverted) friends to hang out with her, because of the nature of introvert/extrovert energies, they are basically in charge of when we hang out (I mostly make the plans) so if they cancel bc they’re too drained, I’m screwed that day
"I'm really worn out and i don't really have the energy to talk to anyone so i'm just gonna lay in bed and watch kitchen nightmares" Her roomate is me.
Here is a story about myself when I was little: I used to love to talk to people and was a full on extrovert up until 8th grade... one day during 8th grade my best friend said she didn't want to hang out anymore because she thought I was a toxic person and was too self-entitled... After that day I became so scared about what others might think of me that I slowly stopped wanting to talk to others because I was afraid that what she said might have been true. I was so sad because I had always cared about my friends opinions and interests and had not known that she had felt this way about our friendship. I had tried talking to her after that day but she just ran away or awkwardly said she has to go. One day she even asked the teacher if she could move to the other side of the classroom because she didn't want to sit by me. This got me down a lot. A couple of my friends even started hanging out with her more than me. I was afraid that she was telling them what a bad person I was and started to avoid talking to my main friends from my friend group. I was still nice to her though and sometimes brought presents to her family's house on special occasions. It didn't do any good. I was at my lowest point and hated being an extrovert and stated even questioning if I still was one? After a few weeks had passed, I met an old friend and previous neighbor at lunch. I started sitting at her lunch table with her friend. I slowly started to gain confidence again and went back to my usual, happy, confident self. I still became sad when I saw my old friends and sometimes started feeling that I was a bad friend. But my self esteem has been a lot better lately now that I have made new friends who love me for who I am! :) If you have found yourself in this situation or one close to mine, always remember that you are amazing for who you are and that you are amazing just the way you are! If people make you feel down then they are not the right person for you to be hanging out with. Choose who you want to be and don't let others ever make you feel like you need to change! Thanks for reading my story!
Ye i feel like teens (like me) nowadays is more shy and introvert,i m trying to talk and have convos, but everyone either prefer chat or going to vc and not rlly talk.
There’s always gonna be a reason why she thought you were toxic, not that I’m saying you are now, but just to think a little more on why she thought of you that way Just saying to not be ignorant Yep
@@makatsue4598 If they became scared to the point they almost believed they were actually toxic they definitely considered it already. And they tried to approach their friend but they avoided them completely which... Ok? So it's a little bit of both. Like, ok I'm toxic but I hadn't realized, please point out what you consider toxic from my behavior so I can't work on it... But their friend didn't so that's that. To think that they had to go through all that reflecting on their own. Overthinking like that is a nightmare.
Man, I wished someone could have told you that it was not entirely you. Like, if you friend cares about you they tell you how thinks make them feel instead of like "You're toxic, bye". I'm glad you're ok now, high school is one tricky era. Hopefully any mistakes or misunderstandings there might be in the future can be solved and you never have to end a relationship like that again.
I can totally relate to that! I’m incredibly shy and have trouble jumping into social situations sometimes, but I have the most fun and feel the most energized when I’m hanging out with friends.
yea or when your self worth comes from the people that love you so when they seem to care a bit less about you you feel like it reflects on yourself and how toxic/clingy you are

What a sweet video!!! I never really thought about extrovert problems, especially considering yeeaaahhh we’re all introverts lol. I’m glad you talked about this and I love the battery example!
Being a super extroverted person myself, I think if you’re lonely during times trying to do something, be imagining something like picturing someone next to you or thinking of that one show, that’s what always helps me with drawing alone and as for public speaking, practice by writing and recording things and sharing them this makes it more natural for conversations to large groups of people flow and also I am a food monster
Finally, someone who actually understands what an introvert and extrovert are. It frustrates me when people think all introverts are antisocial and all extroverts are really good at talking, public speaking, ect.
I really like your channel because your art style is beautiful! Also your storys are great to listen to. I'm not a person who is productive when others are around- I'm an introvert who has huge trust issues because I was verbally bullied in the past with bad self esteem and social anexity. I draw good when I have someone talking in the background and your great for drawing. Keep up the great work! This most likely won't even be noticed TwT
Honestly the most annoying misconception about extroverts is that we are good at interactions. My main issue is wanting to be around people but being extremely awkward because I am not used to having company (I grew up lonely and never really had good friends that I was comfortable around)

Being an extrovert myself, I also struggle with problems; however mine are different because I have ADHD. And the fact that I’m also an extrovert causes me to need a lot of attention at all times. Sometimes my body actually goes a little bit too far without my brain knowing it and I end up lying about myself, constantly and always talking about myself, without me meaning to because my brain is wired to think that I always need attention. This also results in another problem, because I grew up with so much attention from my parents, when people like my friends don’t give me that same attention then I think that they don’t care about me, or they don’t love me; which is obviously not true but it’s just what my brain ends up thinking. It’s been really hard living my life as an extrovert with ADHD but I’m keeping on pushing through.
That’s...not necessarily ADHD. For real, you should get examined for other possibilities. I know what they are, but a therapist should talk to you about all this.
omg thank you! I'm an ambivert but 90% of my friends are all introverted lol... so sometimes fulfilling my inner extrovert is hard to do when everyone wants to stay indoors. We need more extroverts in the world!
The ratio of extroverts and introverts is about 50-74% to 16-50%. Which means the majority of the populations is actually extroverted. I suppose it depends on what kind of people one associates more with
Zomboy_TYT o shoot forgot I commented this, anyway, There is a difference between being a shut-in and an introvert. I WANT to see people besides my family. I WANT to be able to go outside, but I can’t because of the pandemic. Sure staying inside away from everyone is nice for 1-2 hours, but for over 3 months? I hate it, I want out. I live in the USA so you know how well we’re handling it. I want to be able to go to my favorite restaurants again, and this absolutely sucks. I don’t like how people are saying the introverts are fine and “they’ll get by” because I’m not fine and I hate this
Ambivert Problems (or the ones i have): • You like to socialize but it could also drain you • You enjoys sitting in your room but you also enjoys sitting outside in a cafe talking with your close friends • When someone asked you to join them in something, your usual reply is “sure, i’m itching to go outside anyway” • You talk a lot but you also listen to others • You don’t want to socialize but when you’re not socializing you started to get touch crave
Problems 1 and 5 sound less like an ambivert problem, and more like an extrovert with social anxiety problem lol and the other 3 don't sound like problems, they just sound like character traits, they make you, you which is great! :)
I relate to 3 so so much, it’s hard for me to get out myself but if someone asks me and I’m feeling tired or energetic, I’ll say yes anyway because I’ll end up enjoying it :)
Ambiverts don't exist they are in fact something dumb buzzfeed made up, next thing you will be telling me you identify as a rooster potatoe because buzzfeed said so. My mother when pregnant my her first child ,(My brother), Took a psychology course about personalities and in the class they had to buy a book that listed every personality variation, Psychologists use this book in their job as it identifies traits and can help them find the best treatment for you , Now saying this not everyone fits a certain variation perfectly for example I share traits of ENTP and ENFP but personally I lean more to ENTP even though I share the trait of imaginative from ENFP. Now saying that you will notice the first letter is an E and that represents Extrovert while Others have an I ,for example my sister who is an INTJ and she is an Introvert. Now to my final point, There is a spectrum for extroverts and introverts, I for example am on the high side of the extrovert spectrum and my brother is on the high side of the Introvert spectrum, Then there is my Sister who is a major bookworm and loves to sit in front of a fire and read a good book all alone BUT she adores hanging out with her friends and doing things with them, At the same time it is exhausting to do it for too long and this makes her lie low introvert spectrum, Now you may ask why low introvert and not low Extrovert, It is because she recharges when she is alone. Now I rest my case.
I have to admit your video actually opened my eyes and was enlightening. I kind of fall on both sides of the fence on this one. Sometimes I need to be alone for long periods of time to really get my creative juices flowing or snap myself out of a funk. And sometimes I really need to be around as many friends as possible because I'm addicted to making people happy, and if I'm not sharing my happiness with others, it gets kinda dull. ;p But I really like how you expressed it all. And you are very right, there are lots of videos on introvert problems and most people think extroverts don't have any because they are social gods or something. Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it and it made me smile. ^_^
you know, as an introvert it is really interesting to hear the perspective of an extrovert, seeing as my only friends and people i know talking about this have been introverts.
The most saddest thing about being an extrovert is that people make assumptions about extroverts being loud and noisy and annoying but than on the other side they think introverts are the emo kid at the back of the class who always reads and hangs out with boys-
well it kinda is. the reality is, no one is purely introvert or purely extrovert. we're all somewhere in the ambivert spectrum. just maybe at like last 20 percentile at one end.
@@rb.arindam nah man, im 100% and extrovert, the only time where i dont want to talk to nobody is in the bathroom, or once in a year where i have been talking so much with people for months and i need one time to make my brain relax
As an extrovert, thanks for hearing our side of things! :) We’re so stereotyped to be loud party animals when really most of us feel like this video lol. This video was almost a perfect representation of how extroverts are
This is honestly probably the best way I've seen introversion vs extroversion explained. A lot of people assume introversion automatically makes a person antisocial and extroversion automatically means you're a loud and boisterous person who loves attention. Personally, I'm an introvert, but I don't consider myself shy or antisocial. In fact, when I'm with certain people, I can be pretty confident. And I could spend hours upon hours with my sister without feeling drained, because we're very close and being with just her is basically like being with myself so it doesn't effect me. The battery analogy is a great way to put it, it's all about energy usage and the way your brain works! I loved this. It's interesting to see through the eyes of an extrovert for a change. :) Great vid 👍
Thanks so much for putting this out, extroverts don't always have an easy time even if they want to be around people. I related so hard to this video in ways I didn't think I would💜🥰
Me: 80% Introvert Likes to be alone because it is peaceful but needs some social interaction once in-a-while such as suffering together through tuition.
Most of the time i like to connect with people, but since i know that my introvert friends will soon need to stop to recharge themselves, I end up learning to be on my own. I m so good at this that i thought i was introvert like them for a long time. I ignore my needs and my own self just like that. I don't have any extrovert friends to share extrovert problems with. In social media, i heard about introvert issues a lot, i feel left out. Moreover, It seems like people using introverting as an excuse for being shy, or lack of communication skills or to avoid engaging in group task. Meanwhile, the extrovert is so "blessed" with confidence and social skills that has nothing to worry about getting ahead of everything. Thank you for the vid !
FINALLY SOME EXTROVERT STORIES! As much as I like introvert stories, I like to hear the other side of the coin. Growing up, I thought extroverts had it easy but then I learned there are shy extroverts just as there are social introverts. Its nice to hear your extroverts stories.
Extroverts: has problems Introverts: has problems Ambiverts: has extra problems Edit: i didnt know there were so many ambiverts. thanks for enlightening me
i've had a lot of people come up to me and tell me that being an extrovert is like having the cure to depression automatically, but that couldn't be further from the truth. if anything, it's even easier to get depressed and getting depressed is like the extrovert death sentence. not feeling like doing anything that usually gives you energy not only puts you in a really bad cycle, but also makes it INCREDIBLY hard to get out of. take this from someone who was depressed for 5 1/2 years and has gone in and out every couple of weeks or so.
I totally agree! When I was younger I was in such a terrible place mentally and I ended up growing bitter and resentful towards my social circle, to the point I didn't leave my room at all and got heart palpitations whenever I got a notification lmao. I would end up not being able to do anything like taking care of myself because I had so little energy but I couldn't bring myself to socialise because it only brought me negative energy. Turns out I was clinically depressed :P
@@youareadisappointment9288 this is very similar to what my experience was like too. a lot of my friends were very perceptive so i had to fake a smile every time i went in for school. definitely not my brightest memory.
@@bazoinker You're so right! Haha I was so irrational but I was also 13 🤷♀
Omg that is me I didn't even know that term existed and this video was making me very confused on whether or not I fit into the introvert category or the extrovert category. But I know that I don't have to fall into either.

You talked about wanting to socialize but not being good at it, I experience the exact opposite thing of that. This is why all introverts need an extroverted friend that they’re really close to. It all balances out, the introvert is alone enough and they can sit in comfortable silence. And the extrovert gets to be with someone!
I, an introvert, don’t need extroverts that much. Like most of my friends are extroverts, and that’s great and they’re great, but I’d rather they didn’t rely on social interaction with me 😳 It charges them but slows me down.

I'm so happy you made this. I relate to the first four points of your video, and recently its been hitting me harder that I'm surrounded by introverts and my energy remains drained all the time..
HOLY SHIT THIS I have an absurd amount of anxiety and meeting new people (or disappointing ones I know). I’m terrible at being social, but I hate being alone and I go really crazy if left alone for long periods. There are extrovert problems and it’s nice to see them.
Same for me it’s most like I am 2 shy to talk to people and I always think they hate me for no reason so I don’t talk to anyone and just wait till someone comes to me...but I need someone who I can spend my day with ! Life is so hard and I’m really bad at making friends so I just wait for the people to come to me 0^0
This was honestly very refreshing! You're right, we only ever see it from the introvert side and there are so many misconceptions out there.... not just about introverts, but extroverts too. I really enjoyed listening to your side of the conversation. I'm mostly an introvert and usually can't relate to the extrovert symptoms that are usually listed, but I was able to relate to some of the things you listed, such as being motivated by others or feeling energy from other people rather than being drained. For me it definitely depends on the company I get to/am forced to keep. I have heard that the subject is not black and white and everybody has a bit of a mix of both inside. Just one more of the many factors that determine individual personality and another reason to never group everybody into one catagory. So thanks a lot for sharing! I learned a bit about the world and about myself. I always appreciate that!
I always said that I was an introvert because I thought that introvert meant that your shy and dont like meeting people but she explained that an extrovert is someone who gets their energy from being with others. Now that I know what it means I relate to being an extrovert because hanging out with friends keeps me motivated and energized but I do still have trouble meeting new people

The ultimate extrovert problem is the fear of being annoying. Most people think that extroverts don't have anxiety but I constantly worry that I'm bothering people :')

My worst extrovert problem:
Everyone in university notices if I'm absent
Buutttt if you go missing/get murdered or something, since more people recognize you the more likely it is for someone to notice where you were last seen. Also the more people looking for someone missing, means more attention to the case and concern= more likely coverage on possible news = more awareness=more people knowing and being on the possible lookout which ULTIMATELY increases your chances of being found and alive too!!! (Sorry I've watching been alot of CSI) Now you know your likiness of being alive if in such a situation are increased!!!!!

My friends were always extremely confused with me because I'm a heavy introvert but I love doing public speeches and being a host in any school event or something but I hate when they invite me to parties shopping etc multiple days in a row.
My way of talking to people:

Or I actually say, "Hi!" With the voice squeak and after the other person says, "Hello...?" I THEN awkwardly stand there and flail my arms before I inform them either:

And they tried to approach their friend but they avoided them completely which... Ok? So it's a little bit of both.
Sounds like your friend was jealous of you tbh.

Being an extrovert, this has been pain and suffering.
I clicked "read more" and was like "yup this kid definitely has adhd"

I live in the USA so you know how well we’re handling it. I want to be able to go to my favorite restaurants again, and this absolutely sucks. I don’t like how people are saying the introverts are fine and “they’ll get by” because I’m not fine and I hate this
Yeah same though i miss my relatives
Ambivert Problems (or the ones i have):
• You like to socialize but it could also drain you
• You enjoys sitting in your room but you also enjoys sitting outside in a cafe talking with your close friends
• When someone asked you to join them in something, your usual reply is “sure, i’m itching to go outside anyway”
• You talk a lot but you also listen to others
• You don’t want to socialize but when you’re not socializing you started to get touch crave
Problems 1 and 5 sound less like an ambivert problem, and more like an extrovert with social anxiety problem lol
and the other 3 don't sound like problems, they just sound like character traits, they make you, you which is great! :)
I relate to 3 so so much, it’s hard for me to get out myself but if someone asks me and I’m feeling tired or energetic, I’ll say yes anyway because I’ll end up enjoying it :)
Ambibverts are literally 99% of people you're not special lmao
shiiit okay i never related to something more, exept that many times i'm just too lazy to go out lol
Mom: what do you want to be when you grow up?

So that's what it's called
you know, as an introvert it is really interesting to hear the perspective of an extrovert, seeing as my only friends and people i know talking about this have been introverts.
My OCD was screaming at me when the battery bars weren't at max, I just about tore my hair out. Love your art style btw!
💀
@@rb.arindam nah man, im 100% and extrovert, the only time where i dont want to talk to nobody is in the bathroom, or once in a year where i have been talking so much with people for months and i need one time to make my brain relax

Almost as if dividing people into 2 camps is unreasonable and one of the many stupid concepts of society XD
As an introvert, this was very interesting to watch.
I don’t usually get to hear about the extroverted side of things, so it was fun to hear that!
As an extrovert, thanks for hearing our side of things! :) We’re so stereotyped to be loud party animals when really most of us feel like this video lol. This video was almost a perfect representation of how extroverts are
@@blueberrypancakes1771 that's the thing about introverts - we're good at listening. if you're feeling down and conflicted, talk to an introvert.
Same here
I am also a introvert, I get energy by watching UA-cam videos on my phone or the TV alone, and also I don't get to heard about the extroverted side.
I agree.. nowadays I think introvert problems are a lot more popular and common compared to extrovert problems
Great vid 👍
It isn't antisocial btw it's asocial. They are completely different. That's my worst pet peeve.
OptimistChi lol true that
Thanks so much for putting this out, extroverts don't always have an easy time even if they want to be around people. I related so hard to this video in ways I didn't think I would💜🥰

Heh 100% introvert here
Sooo school

"I wanted to do the thing..."
That's very me and I'm always so sad when plans get cancelled.
i've had a lot of people come up to me and tell me that being an extrovert is like having the cure to depression automatically, but that couldn't be further from the truth. if anything, it's even easier to get depressed and getting depressed is like the extrovert death sentence. not feeling like doing anything that usually gives you energy not only puts you in a really bad cycle, but also makes it INCREDIBLY hard to get out of. take this from someone who was depressed for 5 1/2 years and has gone in and out every couple of weeks or so.
sorry to vent dump on this quaint little comment section here, i just thought it was relevant.
I felt like I was acting everytime I went to school because I needed to be as likeable and bubbly as possible, but I ended up just trapping myself in a cycle of anger because I had to repress everything I felt and it made me so bitter that all of my friends got to express all of their negative, messy parts when I couldn't even frown without feeling like an attention seeker. Haha I was so irrational but I was also 13 🤷♀

You talked about wanting to socialize but not being good at it, I experience the exact opposite thing of that. This is why all introverts need an extroverted friend that they’re really close to. It all balances out, the introvert is alone enough and they can sit in comfortable silence. And the extrovert gets to be with someone!
Shyboywithnolife thanks for the logic #IntrovertGang
#IntrovertGang
I, an introvert, don’t need extroverts that much. Like most of my friends are extroverts, and that’s great and they’re great, but I’d rather they didn’t rely on social interaction with me 😳 It charges them but slows me down.
my best friend is extrovert like me and I feel like it's a better combo lol
I don't need friends, friends are overrated besides i have my pet Guinea pig (rest in peace hammy) and a sister :D
When you are shy but also an extrovert: well isn’t that great

But I hate being all alone or stay in my own bedroom...
What's should I do?
Fallen Holly what I like to do when I’m feeling lonely is hug a plushie, or honestly any soft object. I get really anxious being outside talking to people but when I do my own thing I get lonely so I just hug things lol. Hope that helps!

You use an extremely small amount of verbs.
