Connor is from the UK, right? Japanese cars drive on the opposite side of the road as North Americans. UK people drive on the left side like Japanese people so it’s easier for them to get/transfer their licenses.
i was in Japan for 2 months, technically had an international driver's licence so i could drive there, but i dared not, since they drive on the left and i was driving on the right in my country for years. didn't have confident in not make a trafic accident. luckily Japan's transport system is like a million times better than in my country.
Connor has become everyone's chauffeur.

Most average foreigners, on the other hand, have to resort to taking a low-wage English teaching job through one of the many shady English companies to get a sponsor for their visa. That's why most foreigners don't make it in Japan longer than 2-3 years.
It can be great if you go in seeing it as a temporary adventure---it's just that the people who go in expecting Japan to be their "permanent home" just set themselves up for disappointment and burnout.

i felt like that when i went back to my country to live with my parents, i like only having to study and saving for the next time i move out (also living in a ranch is so relaxing) but kida miss my independence and bigger responsabilities (also being from a poor country doesn't help)

I do, last winter break, I came home, burnt myself out with online finals, then was bored for the next couple weeks because most of my friends were busy or out of town and I couldn't find a place to hire me so late when I had to leave state again in a month.
I had to take an extended school break and the entire lack of responsibility sucked. It's nice being able to laze around for a few but it gets way too purposeless

@@venangoproductions Aren't they living together? Watch Emirichu's video and you'll notice that the same apartment shots are used in Daidus's video. At 3:44, you can see Emily's pink suitcases lying around along with her cat cafe bag. At 5:59, you can tell it's the same bathroom as Emily's because it has the exact same toys along the edge of the tub. At 6:14, you can see the same manga piled next to the toilet in Emily's bathroom. I think it's clear they are living together.

Moving to Japan seems like a dream come true. But I think it’s only a pleasant experience if you are a content creator/have your own business. My Japanese friend who works as a physician is reluctant to return because of the work culture and the treatment of women. She even speaks the Japanese language perfectly but prefers the US. If you don’t have the freedom to control your own schedule, living in Japan may not be so great. I’m happy to visit simply as a tourist
She ditched a relatively safe and clean country for one where Christian fundamentalism is on a rise, Asians get beat up for the stupidest reasons even in places like LA, women's rights are sinking by the day, people get stabbed on the streets and kids get shot at schools. She had a choice between herpes and cancer and she chose cancer. Hilarious. Talk about "the grass is greener on the other side" syndrome. She'll come to her senses the next time tensions with China increase and she'd get attacked by a bunch of white teens for no reason like it happened during covid

@@lunakon5911 Its a warm liquid with caffeine just straight up caffeine pills dissolved in warm water probably would also help you lose weight.
Here's some weight control tips that have helped me.
-- Keep a rough estimate of how many calories you've eaten and plan to eat in a day.
-- Exercise in and of itself burns weight of course, but it also turns your body into fit state where it naturally burns more calories in general. On that note, even a 30 minute walk a day helps to keep your body burning weight.
-- Remember that there's always gonna be good food tomorrow.
-- Don't be afraid to fast for a day or two (I can't recommend doing this on a regular basis though).

I too am a basement-dweller (if the basement was a second-story bedroom) who hasn't done much since the pandemic started...but these videos inspire me so much to want to get out and actually do stuff. I've finally started planning my fall trip (not to Japan but it still at least gets me out of my house, lol) and having things to look forward to again is awesome :)
