I have to admit, my kindergarten story is even more..crazy than Emily's because, in kindergarten, I was accused of being racist. Every day we would have like "playtime" and one day I was playing with Barbie dolls with another girl. And we were like roleplaying "restaurant" and this girl came over, I think her name was Samantha. And Samantha was awfully tall for a kindergartener, she looked like she belonged in the third grade, not kindergarten(exaggerated). Samantha really did not like me at ALL, and I didn't realize it back then but looking back at it I realized that she really hated me because I was one of Ms. Rachael's favorites. But Samantha still wanted to play with us because she was best friends with the other girl I was playing with. And she was like "Hey, can I play with you?". And I SPECIFICALLY said, "Sure, you can be the waiter". And the moment those words were out of my mouth, Samantha just ran away and started yelling "MS. RACHAEL!!! SARAH SAID THAT I CAN'T PLAY WITH HER BECAUSE I'M INDIAN!!!" And in my mind, I'm like "Wtf?" because I never said that! So Ms. Rachael comes kneeling next to me and she's like "Sarah, did you really say that?" And because I was like, 5, at the time, I had no idea what was going on. I didn't even know what racism was and to be honest, I didn't even know Samantha was Indian!! I thought she was like, Philipino! I didn't realize but like, the whole class had stopped talking and was looking at the standoff between me and my kindergarten teacher. I had no idea what I was getting myself into and because I honestly did nothing wrong, I said "Yes", because I thought yes was always the correct answer. I don't really remember what happened but Ms. Rachael pulled me outside and was like "You can't say that Sarah." and I'm like "I didn't say that" and she said "Then why did you say 'yes' when I asked you if you said that" and I was like "idk". So I looked REALLY bad, and Ms. Rachael was acting like she thought I was lying(I mean who wouldn't) and I got into a lot of trouble. I was liked pulled out of school early, I had to talk with my mom, Ms. Rachael, the school's counselor, and secretary. And I legit still had no idea what was going on because I repeat: I DIDN'T SAY THAT. Long story short, I told them what I REALLY said and things kinda cleared out. I don't think Samantha got in trouble, she was probably sitting at the sidelines with some popcorn, enjoying the whole scene.

One of the teachers came over and was like “oh did you cry?” and I said “no” because I didn’t, we laughed about it. And the teacher said “yeah, you did cry” and I was like ??? “but I really didn’t cry” and she insisted I did and made me write down that I cried.
One time I broke my arm in kindergarten (nursery) and I got chased and bullied by this one guy called Essa. He was just trying to injure me more than I already was. I didn’t speak English at the time but some of the teachers spoke my language. And I could speak at least a very small amount of English. I told them what was happening and they told me I was in trouble for running. They told me I was in trouble from running away as I didn’t want to injure my arm more because of Essa.

She opens a drawer and she just looks confused, turns out there were only two pieces of paper left and a quarter of the class just started bawling of who was gonna take the colored paper.
Been there... done that... In fact, my final year at that school, the yearbook team put together a "will" for me to pass on to the next year's student in my class: "I, (me), will to (next year's person) my ability to always draw in class and not get caught." 😆

In Kindergarten, my teacher used to have a little bell that she would ring when the classroom got too loud. One day, she went into a little walk in closet type thing to print some papers. Everyone was talking during that time, and it was super loud. So, like any introverted kid, I rang the bell. Everyone got quiet and the teacher came storming in and said, “WHO RANG MY BELL!!!” Everybody pointed at me. I was so embarrassed and scared because I was just a good little quiet kid. I ended up crying just because I got yelled at even though I didn’t really get in trouble. That was traumatizing.

When I was a kid, I was a huge stickler for the rules and how things are “supposed” to be done, the thought of doing anything other than what was asked by the teacher would be a pet peeve of mine. I later was diagnosed with Aspergers, so that explained so much of my life and how I treat and handle situations. Dude in kindergarten I stole stuff from the class and one time when the teacher had to do an activity, and it turns out I stole sheet of paper from school. She opens a drawer and she just looks confused, turns out there were only two pieces of paper left and a quarter of the class just started bawling of who was gonna take the colored paper.
Been there... done that... In fact, my final year at that school, the yearbook team put together a "will" for me to pass on to the next year's student in my class: "I, (me), will to (next year's person) my ability to always draw in class and not get caught." 😆

In Kindergarten, my teacher used to have a little bell that she would ring when the classroom got too loud. One day, she went into a little walk in closet type thing to print some papers. Everyone was talking during that time, and it was super loud. So, like any introverted kid, I rang the bell. Everyone got quiet and the teacher came storming in and said, “WHO RANG MY BELL!!!” Everybody pointed at me. I was so embarrassed and scared because I was just a good little quiet kid. I ended up crying just because I got yelled at even though I didn’t really get in trouble. That was traumatizing.

When I was a kid, I was a huge stickler for the rules and how things are “supposed” to be done, the thought of doing anything other than what was asked by the teacher would be a pet peeve of mine. I later was diagnosed with Aspergers, so that explained so much of my life and how I treat and handle situations. I’m much less uptight right now, just getting annoyed when people say “headphones” when they’re talking about “earbuds” instead of getting so angry I start to cry
