- The new Toyota Prius V is a big deal... literally. Larger than the classic model in every dimension, the V is for those who like the Prius image and fuel economy, but need a larger vehicle than the classic model. Tom Voelk travels to Monterey, CA to preview the newest member of the Prii family.

I drove a Prius 2010 for 2 years and just lost it due to an accident. Wouldn't have any other car, and even though the rated mileage was 70 MPG (Canadian/Imperial gallon), I found it was easy enough to hypermile it to over 100 mpg. I need a bit more cargo space and I now have a Prius v on the way. For those who don't like them, you are free to choose any other car, but I generally keep my car for about 10 years and 400,000 Km (about 240,000 miles), and I think some of you want one by then!

@DrivenCarReviews I'm not suggesting that.lol Bluntly, I just not a fan of the car.I just believe there are better options out there like diesels because you sacrifice so much with this car. Great video as always though!
@LeadHammer These electric cars are more about energy independence, with a marketing campaign of being good for the environment. The real future of energy will most likely be bio-fuels, which work just like regular fuel. if you are interested look up Joule Unlimited. They have created a way to create fuel for around $33 a barrel.

Sounds like the car needs 20 more horsepower to overcome that additional mass.
