The one thing that's a deal breaker for me is the lack of parking sensors. When parking in a garage or even parking anywhere, they are helpful and found on most cars.
I have a Model 3, but I specifically bought a used 2021 because it still has the sensors and stalks. It's a great car. Not interested in the new versions.

keeping your hands on the wheel requirement was most likely implemented after too many people were spotted sleeping while driving a tesla. sure, people can STILL sleep while driving and holding on to the wheel or others can still find a way to get over that requirement, but one cannot blame tesla for at least trying to deal with that issue. overall, i believe that the pros for regular updates vastly makes up for any cons. its just that its so easy to not notice the good and only focus on the bad.

@@strangefire2024 yeah I agree that those who are confused are stupid. But it doesn't remove the responsibility from the car makers. Many of our products are designed to be fool proof because you can't assume everyone using it to be smart. Tesla's design of computer on wheels seem to assume everyone must be a computer engineer and understand what beta testing and rebooting if center screen is frozen etc. that is not fool proof. This kind of things attract certain demographics of population but alienate some others such as seniors and some blue collars folks. Far from ideal if you want wider range of EV adoption. So you Tesla fanboys stop calling someone stupid because they misunderstood certain features in Tesla. Let's start with less misleading names like other car makers call it adaptive cruise controls or driver assistance etc. until it is proven and certified to be level 4 or above

It's still up in the air whether non-Teslas will charge as well as Teslas on the Supercharger network. For all we know, many of the same issues that plague non-Teslas when charging on third party networks could also happen when charging on Superchargers, or new and unforseen problems could occur. Tesla won't have any control over other brand's vehicles and how they communicate with Tesla's hardware, so it's going to be a new thing for both Tesla and non-Tesla EVs. We'll just have to wait and see.

People have mentioned Tesla's price fluctuations before. It is true that their prices do fluctuate a lot. But if you look at "out the door" prices, that is true of every vehicle.
The difference is that Tesla's prices are reflected in their stated prices. Cars sold through dealers don't have this transparency. Their list price may not change until the next model year (where they only go up), but the "out the door" price you *might* be able to negotiate will fluctuate based on dealer incentives, quotas, demand, etc.
The pandemic and chip shortage also caused larger than normal fluctuations for car prices. Most "out the door" car prices went up and down quite a bit during this time.
Ford Lightnings had a ridiculously high markup by many dealers in the middle of 2022. Anyone foolish enough to pay those markups has had a massive devaluation with their truck since then.

Hi Alex, I have highland Model 3 from Shanghai the cheapest version 42k euro, has about 400km (on paper 513km) of real world range, currently we are in winter here in Croatia so when summer comes will be better maybe. Signal for blind spot is there in highland version, you have a little red light near the side mirrors. Initially I didn't see it and I was turning while the car was in blind spot and Model 3 prevented me, and kept me in my line :). The price is very good for highland version because all features that it has other gas versions need to pay 10k more and for VW the delivery time for some models is catastrophic about 1 year (I was looking for Arteon). The blinkers Im in adoption faze will see in next 6 months but for sure for people that don't like the changes will probably need accessories for it, I think there is already some plan from third party companies :).

Alex, Happy New Year !! You have to admit, the Tesla Model 3 Highland blows away the VW ID4. Also, as you seen in other comments about blind spot warning, it actually has 2 blind spots, one on the interior and one on the camera when using the signal. Agree, build quality in Fremont can be bad. Texas has some really good build quality’s. As for the AP, it works great, FSD is only good on a freeway as of today with HW4. Did you get a chance to actually drive the car? Munro will do a tear down and we shall see his opinion. The biggest cons for ANY EV are: PRICE...RECHARGE TIME...RANGE!
A stripped-down, no-frills, baseline Tesla M3 will cost you nearly $44,000 (this includes tax, fees, surcharges and delivery fee). You can buy a nicely-equipped and roomier Chevy Malibu for ~$25k. PRICE IS KING in our inflationary times. No one is gonna pony up an extra $19,000 for a car that has a much shorter driving range and takes WAYYYY longer to 'refuel' than an ICEV. NO ONE!! When a M3 takes upwards of 90 minutes to recharge to full (and that's at a special L3 charger, if you can find one that works and is open and you don't have to wait) and you compare that to a 'recharge' time of 5 MINUTES for an ICEV, this is a no-brainer for the vast majority of car buyers. Range...pfftt...an M3 has an anemic and pathetic range of 272 miles (and that goes down real fast if you live in the north or northeast when temps are below freezing outside and you need the heater on to keep your family from freezing) compared to 474 miles for a Malibu - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who is the winner here - ICEV, AGAIN!!!
Until we share parity on PRICE, 'REFUEL' TIME and RANGE with ICEV's, 95% of consumers will continue to buy gas-powered cars as their first and ONLY choice. EV's have a LONGGGGG WAY to go before they can dethrone ICEV's or appeal to a wide audience. EV's will remain a very niche item for years to come.

My honest opinion about these new tesla models is how they seem to just move more and more features to a different places and call it new. There's absolutely no reason why the turn signals should be on the buttons when the original signal works flawlessly. Why remove something most drivers are used to? Almost every car I drive has media controls on the wheel. I can control my phone and call someone directly from the wheel and I dont have to touch a screen or a phone but you can't do these things with tesla. They actually made it harder to drive the car. Your eyes keep wandering off the road to the screen because you can't feel where everything is. I think tesla needs to get their priorities straight. They're just doing what apple does pretty much. Just don't do anything, most stuff around to make it look different.

      3. When the 12v battery voltage dropped, I reported it and made an appointment on the Tesla App. The car was still driveable. Tesla came to my house and replaced it at no charge the next day.

Bigoted and ignores the facts. Catch up Alex and get back to reality. Nobody is near Tesla in terms of tech lead and overall efficiency. We have Highland in UK now, wait until you try one. Apple car play is overrated, head up display is distracting. Air vents are fine. I never adjust my side mirrors and my Tesla has blind spot detection. Customer service is excellent. I suggest that Energypal is wasting its money on this ill informed trash, you’re way out of date Alex. Back in your box!

I'm sorry I can't hear you from all the way up there in Elon's colon. Nobody gives a shit about the efficiency. That's just what your brainless Tesla fanboys think because Elon told you so. Customers don't give a shit about that.

@@EforElectric I’m both a technician and optician. So I know and understand optics. There is appropriately big and too big. So trust me when I say it’s a tad big. Optician these days only want to sell you what you and they want, your needs come later if at all. 🤷🏻‍♂️
