Titan Souls looks like a retro re-imagining of Shadow of the Colossus which has me 100% on board. We listed it as one of our 20 Must Play Indie Games in 2015. Honestly so many great Indies set to come out this year. Between the Triple A titles and Indies 2015 is shaping up to look pretty sweet!
I am not usually this type of guy, but does anyone find Vince kind of annoying but without any reasons?? This has never happen to me, but there is something about this man that I just can't stand, I think he is a great reviewer but he should just stick to that, I hope he doesn't get in Beyond once Greg and Collin are gone
I have to disagree with you there. IMO, Destin is even more obnoxious. He just seems so awkwardly incompatible with other people. I watch him and he always seems so..awkward. He seems very mundane and almost agitated. (Not just with Vince but others too) does anyone else feel this?
Yeah Vince is fun like Greg, and it would be awesome to see him get Beyond. But I don't think he will, cuz he's all about fighting games, not PlayStation. As for Destin, he's pretty awkward and antisocial, which just upsets me. But he's fine. I just wish he'd stick to Destiny.
graytlo Even Greg and Colin kind of bullied Vince when he was on Beyond... You can notice that they constantly told him to shut up, he kind of reminds me of Meg in Family Guy
VirgateSpy I never said it was a rip off, I was saying that it is ironic because it is similar to the souls games and even has souls in the name, and they said it cant be compared to anything.
How exactly did they rip off Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls? Spoilers: They didn't. If anything, it's more like a 2D Zelda game. Ever hear of it? Probably not.
I am glad that other developers are taking a page from From software and developing challenging games that are still fun let's just hope this isn't like Lords of the Fallen. And to all of the haters just because there is a learning curve and its challenging and unforgiving does not make it a Dark Souls 2D clone.
This game looks like torture to me and I didn't like it either, its one of those game where you get bored for like 10 second into the game. Seriously what the heck ??
What is it about Indie game developers and recycling the same shit over and over and over. One game out there had the 1-hit death artificial difficulty and hit it big with a big cult following and sales. Now EVERYBODY and their mother has to make 1-hit death, 2D, old school 32-bit looking adventure games and platformers. Thank goodness for Adventures of Pip. The developers of that game actually take the 2D and apply some originality.
That's not true at all. Take for example the game Battletoads. That game will literally kick your ass and requires countless hours to beat, yet doesn't resort to 1-hit deaths for it's "difficulty" (Aside from only 1 stage). There's plenty of games out there that are hard but don't resort to generic and artificial difficulty.
VirgateSpy -Super Meat Boy -I wanna be the Guy -World's Hardest Game -The Impossible Game -Jump Jet Rex -Aban Hawkins & the 1,000 Spikes -VVVVVVV -Cat Mario -The Unfair Platformer -The Runner -League of Evil This is just a handful of games and believe me, I can go on FOREVER. But in the end, you wouldn't want to read it, neither would anyone else and my point has been justified.
Well you're not gonna find them. Unless they use a preexisting graphics engine and get permission, they have to make their own. Which takes money. Games like Star Citizen look so realistic because they had funding from kick starter. So lots of indie developers use a classic graphic style so they can focus on things like game play which matters more imo. Also does anyone know when it comes out and how much it will cost? I have some left over money on steam from the sales and I kinda wanna pick this up
Ikr. This is 2015! I love the classic pixelated art but c'mon. It's getting old nowadays. I'd expect realistic, graphic intensive games while having smooth gameplay. These type of games make it seem like they're just taking the easy route...

Titanfall and Dark Souls = Titan Souls !!!! I will see myself out now
"nothing else to compare it to" when 'souls' is in the name... wow
Oh wow, and that IMMEDIATELY makes it a ripoff or something. I guess all the games that have "The" in the title are very alike.
VirgateSpy I never said it was a rip off, I was saying that it is ironic because it is similar to the souls games and even has souls in the name, and they said it cant be compared to anything.
ajttambo How is THAT like the Souls games?! o.O
ajttambo They were talking about the art style, not whether the word 'souls' is in the name.
They ripped off Shadow of the colossus & Dark Souls! Destin, "this is so unique"... keep it professional IGN.
"ripped off", cmon man, 2D dark souls, who has done that? Its not a ripoff its just using the idea and making a new IP out of it.
giggopoo2 Isn't dark souls pretty much a 3D castlevania? those games were 2D.
Also, Salt and Sanctuary.
louisgworld wow that's actually a really good point. I never thought about it that way.
How exactly did they rip off Shadow of the Colossus and Dark Souls? Spoilers: They didn't. If anything, it's more like a 2D Zelda game. Ever hear of it? Probably not.
The Neverending Twilight
2D zelda? WOW thats never happened before, oh wait Kappa.
GameInformer briefly talked about it and I thought it looked pretty cool
Titan Souls, Hyper light drifter, light fall, Bellow, Cup Head, Inside aka (Limbo 2). 2015 is looking good for indie games
I am glad that other developers are taking a page from From software and developing challenging games that are still fun let's just hope this isn't like Lords of the Fallen.

Shout out to Dipper Pines making a cameo at 1:25
Does no one else see that this is a retro Shadow of Colosus
not saying Shadow of the Colossus when talking about this game just show how sad your life has been :/
This looks so badass when does it come out?
They should call this Shadow of the Dark Souls
The Souls series is its own genre now. Deal with it.
This game looks like torture to me and I didn't like it either, its one of those game where you get bored for like 10 second into the game. Seriously what the heck ??
Naked snake, pfft peasant

Because all the other games are way too easy
That's not true at all.

Care to mention this giant list of 1 hit death games that apparently I don't know about?

SkyShadow44
Those are platformers and some are supposed to be uinfairly hard
It looks like hyper light
> this is 8 bit
Time to dust off my vita
Is it appropriate to call this art style 8-bit? Or is it more acceptable to call it Pixel Art style?
I think it's more pixel art, doesn't look 8-bit.
This is the last time I anti-spam this comment.
i can barely hear you guys
I wonder if I anti-spam this comment.....
How much were these guys paid by the developer to talk about the game? No wonder Greg Miller left.
LOL. You've clearly never tried the game. It's really good.
The game is good but they sound as if they are hypeing it by using words like hard, pixel art,
siddharth shekar I think they just don't know how to communicate stuff very well... they're like this on the other videos too.
First ayyy
Another indie shit game filled with pixel art.
Fantastic.
Boo... Not available for Nintendo.
Em i the only one who doesn't want to see stupid 8 bit! I want realistic graphics !

The_Bald_Eagle also sorry for the wall of text

I don't know what you mean by "easy route", good quality pixel art like this is fairly difficult to create.
Hyper light drifter rip off
