    That first point hits HARD. I'm 30 and just starting to take serious steps towards real financial freedom. UA-cam and Google have taught me more about financial management and realistic paths to wealth in the last week than school and uni did in 17 years.

      Absolutely true. My problem is that I'm older than Google and UA-cam so I had to spent a good part of my life being a good little employee while slowly waking up and learning what the world really looks like. Now I'm 42 and I'm learning new things every day. And will do that till I die probably, cause I'm curious by nature. :)

    It’s not FOMO for me, more a case of YOLO. I might not be here in 10 years… I feel there is an important balance between saving/investing, and living your life at a young age. (I’m 30)
    My opinion is enjoy yourself and experience everything you want to, but without getting into debt.
    It’d all be a waste of time and effort if you were to end up being the richest person in the graveyard!

    • @OzzyTing
      @OzzyTing 8 місяців тому +6

      Was looking for this comment. Absolutely agree, and it's so hard to find the balance. I've also just turned 30, feeling very caught between enjoying the 'young' years I have left whilst living in fear that if I don't spend all my time saving/planning for the future I'll be an incompetent and incapable 40 year old. SIGH!!

    • @karkowaw
      @karkowaw 8 місяців тому +1

      My thoughts exactly! What is the point of saving and 'cutting' on some pleasures of life when you're young if you're going to have all the money when you're old and have no energy to spend it? I'm all for investing and being smart with your savings but I also enjoy experiencing life like travelling from time to time. I don't want to spend my life being miserable just to have a lot of money in my 60s

    1. Educate yourself on how to make your money grow.
    2. Don't worry about what others think about you.
    3. Don't take rejection personally and learn to bob and weave to get what you want.
    4. Invest in your money-making ventures (tools, tech, knowledge, outsourcing)
    5. Use willpower to say no to social expectations around spending/lifestyle. Find meaning/satisfaction in *your* process.
    6. Basically, work fast and break things.

    The quote “the more you overthink (…) the more you’ll feel overwhelmed” is a very simple but VERY accurate one. Overthinking only tends to give you more problems to think about and stress you out. Thanks for the tips, I like how straightforward and honest you are about topics that everyone finds it so difficult to talk about. Keep it up! ❤

    I discovered this channel a short time ago because I feel lost. I'm 40, I've worked and tried my whole life and in the end I still don't have a roof over my head, I've had enough but right now I feel so lost and without hope. Every day I try to watch at least one video or learn something. I know it seems funny to me sometimes, but even for that I need an incredible amount of strength for it and everything seems impossible, but I still haven't lost my spirit completely. I hereby thank everyone.

      the more you continue to learn and grow the more your situation will change-- my first year in LA i made 19k... managed to save 9k... as i learned to develop some skills that others wanted / needed i was able to get over six figures in income and everything changed. But your environment wont change until you continue to change. Let's build that dream

    I just turned 40 and for most of my career so far I’ve floated by on a generous income without putting much thought into where my money was going. I did manage to make my first six-figure year prior to 30, but always relied on others to manage my money for me. I wound up keeping a lot less of it than I would have liked. Taking accountability and managing not only your wealth but yourself as well is so important. It’s like a lawn; you can tend to it from time to time but it will quickly run away on you. I wish I would have learned this sooner - now I make my finances a daily affair and it becomes much more manageable and I can change with my situation much better now :)

Most people in full time jobs don’t think beyond that but I do think making sure you’re very good at doing what your primary job entails and making sure you’re skill is In high demand means if you lose that primary job/income stream you can easily get another one.

    Regarding qustioning the answer, I did something similar. Was tired of not getting a raise, spoke to my manager and their manager about what I needed to do to justify a raise and did it. They came back and gave me a pretty shitty raise compared to my market value. In that time I'd also been job hunting and doing research on salaries. When they spoke to me, I said I think it should be £X. They didn't think I deserved that much, but they did think I deserved more than what they were allowed to give me by company policy. Not long later I had accepted a new job offer and given my notice. Even with the raise I was given, I moved for 47% more.
    This is all to say, if someone doesn't value your work, find someone who does.

      It's good that you are trying to find passive income streams and invest too. Just an advice that I took from the "Just Keep Buying - Nick Maggiulli" was that while you are early in your career (20s) focus on increasing your income rather than overthinking on what you should invest. People's income typically grows faster in the first part of their career. Of course, this applies in case you don't already have a consistent amount of money to invest.

      it can take some time to figure out your passive income stream.. i think the key is to keep adding to what you are doing and finding ways of increasing that income... i've tried a few different things over the years and have found a good flow of my business, rental properties, and building out courses / programs as well. If you are 21 and already thinking like this you are way ahead of the game.. i only had $400 to my name at 23.. keep crushing it out there and let's build that dream

    Wish I found and understood these tips 5 years ago. 30 years old now and I can say if you’ve found these tips in your 20s and implement them you’ll be miles ahead. Great video!!

    Hello Nischa.... Thank you for your Video, I really enjoy watching it...... after having a lot of discouragement I'm facing trying to study more for the Online Job that I'm trying to apply. Truly "Action is better than over-analyzing" and that's what I'm going to do and gonna keep doing from now on until I get the Job that I want. God Bless You!

    Very helpful video and thanks for putting it together. The only thing I would add is while chasing your goals and dreams is fine, don’t forget to live your life as well. If you don’t, it comes back later in life as regret that doesn’t do any good.

      good news is 40 is still super young.... you have 30-40 more years of great effort. SO many people didn't find their niche or angle until their 50s and still amassed massive success and wealth. Keep killing it out there and let that compound interest work it's magic. Let's build that dream

    Thank you so much for this video! I have resonated with everything you said. Especially the last point (action > over analysis), with which I am currently struggling. Over half a year ago I signed up for an investment course. I have learned a lot but till now I have put NOTHING into practice, because I am spending way too much time analysing all the options (and regretting some of the investments I have made so far, which I fear I might have to cancel thus takinga loss) instead of making a choice and getting into action. I'm stuck in analysis paralysis 😐
