    Living below your means - most people don’t do this, the US and other developed countries are very materialistic- but it is important so you can invest. Not sure you will feel any different when you hit your million dollar goal. I have been poor and relatively affluent, life is much tougher when you are worried about eating but the experience creates appreciation. I used to get one little gift for Christmas- when I was a kid, I could tell you every gift I received from ages 5-17. Now I get tons of gifts and couldn’t tell you what I got last Christmas. Work hard, save but also enjoy and treat yourself/others with kindness. Good luck.

      Below your means becoming lower and lower as the days go. Overpriced housing eating up most of your wage and you have nothing left at the end. You know that the economy relies on people consuming right? If everyone is poor but doesn't spend it is a downward collapse because so many industries are not essential and rely on people spending excess income on them. When people don't have that income, they go out of business.

      Not everyone is as lucky and got their shit together at a young age. Some people take a lifetime to figure out what they want in life and not what others expect of them at certain age.
      Oh and I’m saying this only to remind people not to feel like a failure or lose hope just because they didn’t have their shit together or know exactly what they want in life at a young age while others seem to have their whole life figured out. Or by how much money they want to have.

    I am 22. I started independency since age of 18. I would say I am one of the 'Woke' people. I am obsessed to succeed. Started working my designs, mockups... now 3 weeks in and still going. Trying hard. I am not unfamiliar with living below the means. Goal is to make something of myself in next 3-5 years. If it comes earlier great. I do learn things on my own...only one that knows English that good in family. So I am actually on my own down that road of success that we know exists, that makes us ask how is that possible even. Despite everything we are taught, there is the other side, that gem we are looking to find. Now took a book from Gary Vee, doing that website, putting on mockups, learning about platforms and how to use them. It will be a fun journey definitely.

    Thanks for sharing your plan, here's mine: there are 2 things that compound (1) money and (2) skills. The number one condition for compounding is consistency. So focusing on one skill / area of expertise for a long amount of time will lead to a disproportional expertise. So for me this is websites. I am much more confident that if I focus on websites for 15-20 years that I can charge 250k+ for a month of work than that I can actually will focus on websites for such a long period of time. Pick one thing and stay consistent is key!

    Being a millionaire isn't even my personal goal tbh, but of course I see the advantages of it. I think it's more important to enjoy life, with (of course) a job and a financial plan (monthly/annual savings), but also with a lot of free time. I know it's very tempting to work more to earn more money, but the actual thing is; we live NOW, maybe not later. ;) Enjoy life now you can, while we're still young. That's the message here. All the material things and money don't mean anything when you become life threatening sick/ill. So earn a good amount, save a good amount, but also enjoy life a lot. Me personal, I work no more than 32 hours a week. I earn a decent salary (but definitely not as high as Nischa), and I can save a nice amount monthly, and that's it. Early retirement is possible if I continue with doing this. I think I could probably stop around age 50.

    This is such a good video, things like smartest person in the room is something I've always lived by but you put so much meat onto the concepts around that in such a eloquent manner. Some of these things I've been trying to explain to others but never said it nearly as well as you just did. Always challenge the status quo indeed. Its even helped me working for a NYSE listed business to run my own because when you think of everything as ROI, including time, its not even worth trying to self source solutions for things like taxes. Economy of scale is almost always applicable.

    should have mentioned that in the process people think you're crazy, you'll never make it... but most of all you're often lonely.
    Obviously the above changes once you make it.

    • @sg3918
      @sg3918 2 роки тому +1

      Oh yeh the 'lonely' point. People like to talk about that especially in the future at some arbitrary aged but it's bs anyway because life is transient. In a 100 years the question of loneliness won't have meant anything.

    Great ambition, however money isn’t everything. It will bring trust concerns in relationships and business. Becoming a millionaire, you won’t want to lose the status, so you won’t want to go below this threshold. Question is what do you want from this wealth and what amount is enough?. You don’t know what is around the corner, don’t miss out on to much so you can spend the wealth later in life. Life has twists and turns. Love your vids. X

    I became a millionaire (£ sterling) last year, aged 56. It took 20 years because I had to begin from scratch aged 36, following a poor investment decision. 1 £million isn't a fortune these days and I certainly don't feel rich, but it's nice to have as I think about retirement. Of course, I could lose half of it (probably more) tomorrow, if my wife decides she wants rid of me!

Basically its a crap shoot if you make it or not. You can't intellectualize yourself in to being rich by a cetain age/date and by the way rich means something totally different to everybody. Good Luck!

    It is okay to spend more money than you do now when you start earning more money. Just make sure the overall percentage of what you spend is less than the percentage you were spending from your previous income. That way you are increasing the amount you are saving/investing in your future, while still being able to enjoy a few extra things from your additional expenditure. Striking the right balance between spending/saving is key in order to enable you to have a better quality of life in the future.

    Gaining subscribers this fast is also a great achievement and will be a source of substantial income if it gets popular that much. However, in video/content creation, graph is not linear, it is rather symmetric and, if handled properly, can reduce the flattening of curve in the long run. Need to focus on what viewers want to see, i.e current trends and most talked about topics. Good to see growth of this channel.

    Being a millionaire was something to aspire to financially about 25 years ago. Adjusted for inflation that would be more like $1.5 million - AND it is important to distinguish between relatively liquid wealth - people get confused about their wealth in real estate which means you must get rid of it and find a place to live to use that wealth. Nothing comes quick, nobody becomes a millionaire at 32 without substantial income to provide savings and investment excess. This is for the 1% privileged folks, not for most people who will remain low to mid class for life without chance of escape.

      Making significant gains in this downturn wouldn't be a problem if you're an expert, but it all depends on how long you're ready to hold. Stocks may certainly crash even worse.
