Rousseau says about social contract that the real holder of sovereign power is society, not the government. Government only exercises power on behalf of society. John Locke said a social contract is when the government is obligated to protect life , liberty and property of the people and fulfils its responsibility with political and moral behavior. When it fails to do so, society is not obligated to pay taxes. But when the establishment including the power elite steals the majority mandate and voter franchise to brutally impose its own coercive will and protects business mafias like the IPPs to engage in price gouging, greed and corruption the power elite is focused on excessive borrowing to spend billions on luxury vehicles for political elite and bureaucrats, then the social contract breaks down and is replaced by fascism and anarchy.
this is exactly what i was thinking about today. Jungle ka qanoon is better than the so called social contract with the government we have. It has not given us anything, we are better off in caves
As a voter of pti, if they dont stand by those principle which they are preaching now. I will not vote for them again. I would vote for the new miftah ismails party. Everyone should be held liable.
You people offer no viable alternative to the solutions of Pakistan. You offer zero analysis of what went wrong with Pakistan and what has sustained the downwards trajectory.
