Sir Junaid Have all The Details Economy Of Pakistan Very Happy To Listening 🎧 Good Luck For Shark Tank Pakistan To Promoting Entrepreneurship Culture In Pakistan 😊
The guest here says that while Bangaladesh incorporated secularism as a state policy in 1972, India did not do it till 1974. He goes on to say "we had secularism in our constitution long before India did." It's okay not to know everything, particularly, laws of other countries. But then, one should not be making public statements about something one doesn't know. He should have at least qualified his statement in terms that he was not too sure about it. The parliament of India incorporated the words "sovereign socialist secular democratic republic" by way of the 42nd amendment to the Constitution of India with effect from 3rd of January 1977, inserting these in place of "sovereign democratic republic". I suppose Ambassador Chowdhury mistakenly understood this amendment to be the point India declared itself secular. The following Articles of the Constitution of India have been in place, right from the day when the Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26th November 1949 and became effective on 26th January 1950. Art 14 - Equality before law. Art 15 - Prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Art 16 - Equality of opportunity in matters of public employment. Art 19 - Protection of certain rights regarding freedom of speech, etc. Art 25 - Freedom of conscience and free profession, practice and propagation of religion. Art 26 - Freedom to manage religious affairs. Art 27 - Freedom as to payment of taxes for payment of any particular religion. Art 28 - Freedom as to attendance at religious instruction or religious worship in certain religious institutions. Art 29 - Protection of interests of minorities. Art 30 - Right of minorities to establish and administer educational institutions. I have not provided the full text of these Articles of the Constitution for obvious reasons. But this much should be enough to prove the point.
Uzair is a Imran Khan hater. He doesn’t care if this government is illegitimate or not.
People's freedom, quality of life, safety and economy constitute real taste of independence. I appreciate your daring commentary on the state of country's affairs. God bless you. ❤❤🎉
Thank God Khurram raised the issue of how roughly IPPs were re-negotiated...will that give any confidence to domestic or international investors ? Absolutely NOT ..this will scare away who ever might have some inclination to invest in Pakistan in 2025..
It wasnt about the economy of Pakistan but about politics
Appreciate Khurram Hussain's blunt analysis.
Fantastic podcast Uzair tho the lag breaks the immersion at some times Have you heard of river side it could help with the lagging issue as it would record locally on your and Junaid's computer and automatically sync the footage
Uzair is going for a full maulvi look? 😀🤪
superficial success ultimately, we still don't have proper devolution of power, no push for local governments, no calls for army budget cut, and no hope for real estate taxes on unproductive empty land in particular residential and commercial plots.
Army budget isn't a burden, there're more things that are burden. Real estate tax is already implemented that's why inflated real estate market is down. A lot more needs to be done but a lot of issues are now resolved.
Net FX reserves at $12bn are still precarious - against ~$24bn in principal repayments + ST borrowings. Gotta keep generating those CA surpluses or revolving credit to repay ‘un-rollable’ official/bilateral loans. If savings and tax ratios don’t materially rise by 2H’25, the insolvency crisis will require some serious thoughts about debt sustainability and NPV haircuts.
Keep flaunting your english conversing skills and this content will never get outreach it deserves
Please deliberate on a production tax on Agriculture. Speaking from a farming background, I think that a production tax similar to Ushr e.g 5% of Production from irrigated areas wll bring in big tax numbers for the gov. A production tax is also easier for farmers, rather than an income tax.
You both criticised Dar for trying to stabilise the rupee. But the rupee has been stable through 2024 (in fact from August 2023) and you have no criticism for current FM or caretaker FM.
One way to lose weight is by not eating food for 30 days. Thats a disastrous strategy. The other is to balance caloric intake such that things remain in balance as weight loss happens via exercise. Dar was doing the former.
What SELLOUTS this people r -boasting as if rising from ashes ..dude can u comeback to reality and give some reality check to ur own AWAM - 1.Wby Lop is still not working 2. Whta role did imf/lender money play in the current economic ' stability' and till when it will last?? 3.Someone should ask this 'intellectuals' how a country which is in continuous De-industrialization mode- How it's sensex is increasing??
Mandiiii walay gate payyyyyy
Abay oye youthiyoooo rally miss kardi tu roo rahay hoo
This should be in Urdu, so I can share it on social media.
Why this program isn’t in Urdu so many people may understand and you get lot of viewers
Cuz they missed the rally and think they can talk the market into tanking
Why do you talk about foreign reserves without talking about the IMF money sitting in the account? Are we just gonna pretend the reserve was generated by good economic policy?
Yes these so called expert choose to ignore that point.
Pakistan is the world leader as laboratory of Islam, actually that was said at the time of conception of Pakistan. It is also the inheritor of the Muslim rule in the subcontinent for 1000 years. So one can see from today’s Pakistan what the 1000 year rule was like.
Pageets
Finally there's some light at the end of the tunnel.
Excellent podcast as always
Thanks for listening
Repelled. Wow.
Isnt psx a fraction of 15 years ago in dollar terms which is only thing that matters
PSX peak was $100 billion in may 2017. It is now around $82 billion. About two years back it had fallen to $24 billion. So depending on what you consider as your base, there is a sharp rise or practically flat after 7.5 years.
Repelled is one word for sure
Great ❤
I'm from northeast how tf the culture language food is same... Went to 3 4cities and he thinks he saw d whole India... Why pakistanis think it's 99% same
Only few solutions public transport or private ev or some technology breakthrough
22:35 Uzair mentioned India and US but forgot to mention Pakistan.. Why this hypocrisy, when it comes to pti..
REally love the positivity!
100% Agree, Bilkul give the comparative advantages of Provinces, to their people, because that will create areas of regional and global competitiveness. The greatest inequiality to make Unequal things Equal - Aristotle Also coming from a farming background, I advocate for a production tax, rather than income. E.g 5% production of crop goes to Gov. coffers. Its not a heavy tax on the farming community, it should face less resistance, and it has the potential to generate big amounts in tax.
Shark Tank Pakistan is a great initiative to promote entrepreneurship! For more discussions on Pakistan’s economy and development, watch Pakistan & Counting with Junaid Iqbal. Let's learn and grow together
Uzair, pls stop uploading podcasts like this one and making me bullish on Pakistan again! My heart's been broken several times already. :) Keep up the good work!
It was a wonderful conversation. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, Uzair, for sharing about the Maulana's nuance. I never thought of him like this.
- PM Nehru was overly generous in allocating 80% of water to Pakistan in the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 . Maximum water for Pakistan , as a lower riparian nation , should have been less than 50% India should seek a review in her favour of the Indus Water Treaty. River Beas is only a tributary of River Sutlej . Beas does not even enter Pakistan. Chenab i.e. Chandrabhaga is basically a river of Himachal Pradesh. It belongs to HP and has a very small Kashmir connection. Chenab's waters should be diverted to Ravi and other Indian rivers including Yamuna. India got in her share waters of only two rivers compared to 3 rivers for Pakistan.. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sutlej Yamuna Link Canal should be expanded to Chenab -Sutlej - Yamuna Canal ... ,,,,,,,,,,
A great conversation with Junaid Iqbal! 🙌 Watch the Pakistan & Counting series for simple explanations about Pakistan’s economy, energy issues, and solutions for a better future.
Pakistan ek Jangju quome he why they need all these things.
Always a delight listening to Junaid bhai
Glad you enjoyed the episode!
good content…that’s the kind pf content that needs to be created more
Thank you!
5:20 in current situation Pakistan nothing to think about cost but the real thing is that can we produce global standard semiconductor chips if it is possible we can expand it how the other countries done bofe invention is the first step
3x times larger Defense Budget in absolute terms 2x times larger Defense budget in per capita terms hinder full spectrum response to economy
Key takeaways 1. Women Empowerment and population control 2. Specialization economy and boost in international trade 3. Terrorism and political stability Instead of corruption, terrorism and political instability made Pakistan an interregnum state. 1977-2018 41 years 1682 41/year in Bangladesh 14,837 361/year almost one a day in Pakistan
لوگوں کو گولیوں سے مارنے سے طاقت نہی بڑھتی اپ کع معلوم ہونا چاھیے کہ نفرت بہت بڑھ گئی ہے
Very stupid analysis
Seems to be paid/sponsored contents . Illogical and Fazool Programme . The most burning topic ie The Brutal killing of innocent people was not discussed at all. Only bashing of PTI was the agenda. A Bogus and anti PTI Programme .
No Sir, you are wrong none of the other political party has undergone the level of State Oppression and brutalities as that of PTI. And that too under the so called Civilian setup. It is continuing unabated with no end in sight, but luckily History is being recorded in digital form
After killing of innocent n unarmed peaceful protesters, you have the Cheeks to say that “Dharna was a failure”. What a shame. You are trying to belittle their organic effort as a Failure
So Nayyera & Unais the uncles were correct in their endorsement. And Ms. Haq, budda Biden is chuckling, he said something which is not suitable for comments. May I suggest you move to Islamabad for 4 years.
