What are the three extra pads for? They have Velcro and are felt and each a different size …nowhere to be found in video or instructions

Why did my pad come completely separated out of the box?

Great product but still a bit off for some trucks. I have a ram rebel 2020 the tailgate is very thick in the middle also has a hump at the top of it. So the Pad didn’t fit properly even with all the adjustments.
