For everyone commenting on the changes to Camilla’s character- In the book, it’s interviews, years after the fact. Camilla’s confidence about Billy choosing her is heavily informed by how events did play out. The show is showing the actual scenes of the events happening, so there will be a difference between what plays out and what is said in the interviews. The unreliable narrator trope is best used in these types of mockumentary’s
Thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking. Not only is the book a retelling of events that are sugarcoated, they are also being retold to Camila and Billy's daughter, after Camila's death. Obviously not everything is going to be 100% honest, that is her mother people are not going to want to talk about the hard times or moments of doubt. This makes Camila's character more complex and interesting imo and realistic to what was probably actually happening.
Good point! Bc this teaser they showcase the interview part so I hope we get all the characters telling their version of the story then flashbacks to what actually happened!
all the other narrators in the book corroborate that Camilla was headstrong and absolute in her belief that billy wouldn’t give up on her and her family
@@nicolegrimes5912 Yes but that doesn't contradict the idea that she probably did have moments of doubt lol. And again sugarcoating considering that these are being told to her daughter makes more sense.
It actually is perfect though. Camilla is exactly what I pictured, As with the rest of the Six. Sam is the perfect Billy, I can’t imagine a better cast. And Riley? Phenomenal.
I hope we get to explore Karen and Graham's relationship too and also the general vibe of that era as opposed to solely being focused Daisy, Billy and Camila.
So Daisy and Billy are supposed to be inspired by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham… are Karen and Graham based on Christine and John McVie? I haven’t read the book, I’m just a big Fleetwood Mac fan lol
@@AshT71494 I read the book and Taylor Jenkins Reid (the author)said that the way Stevie and Lindsey looked at each other on stage was kind of what inspired the book and the main characters.
I loved how confident Camila was in the book. She knew Billy loved Daisy, but most importantly; she knew Billy would always choose her and their daughter. Daisy was an unspoken topic and I liked that. The hotel scene at the end with Camila and Daisy was so powerful. I think it’s such a waste that they tried to make a different character of Camila; she was perfect in the book.
I’m glad someone else sees it too. The whole thing was that Camila was more worried about his sobriety than the fidelity. I don’t like the way the direction of this trailer went.
My thoughts exactly! I hope this is not how the show would portray Camila but she was confident in the book about Billy always choosing her. I never felt she was jealous or worried about Billy leaving her for Daisy.
People are forgetting the book is told via interviews 30+ years after the band broke up and the interviewer is of pivotal importance to one of the characters...the beauty of the book is that the truth existed somewhere between all the varying perspectives and you didn't know who's perspective to trust at times. The show can capitalize on the inconsistencies and tell a version that's true to the book but expands on the story and even alters it.
See that’s were they loose me cause the characters don’t really age and IF they were the rockers the book portrays they would have aged horribly. Just saying. It’s definitely pulp fiction using a million little pieces of every famous band and slopping it all together . I find the actual documentary about the real o es much more fascinating
I expected Camila to be portrayed more like in the books. She put her faith in her husband to stay sober on tour, and Daisy was at a point where she depended on drugs (and in this regard a complete antithesis of Billy Dunne). Camila was more worried about the sobriety of her husband than then potential fidelity because she was confident that Billy loved her no matter what - which he did. If Billy went to Daisy, it would sort of symbolize the end of his sobriety pretty much and him falling off the wagon. Not a big fan of the direction they went with in this trailer not going to lie. The book were much more interesting in portraying the complexities of married life and what it means to put faith and trust in a partner.
Tbf I preferred it this way. Camila was a great character but after some time she started to become an obstacle for the story to move forward. Her relationship with Billy was boring and repetitive. I'm happy the series is actually doing the love triangle because that's exactly what the book seemed to be aiming for but never actually did
idk why they portrayed camila to be a weak character. she never fought with billy about the performances, she knew he'd stay with her and she was never jealous of daisy. i hope i won't be disappointed by the show bc camila is one of my fav characters !!
*SPOILER* I totally get your point. But also remember that in the book Camilla was the only one dead in the end. So everyone only said good things about her in the documentary. She was pictured as an angel, because who would say something bad about a dead character. So we'll never know what really happened or who Camilla really was. The whole book is about whose story to trust.
Just because Camila shedding tears and wanting her husband to be faithful doesn’t demonstrate that she’s “weak”…? Maybe that’s the front she puts on. It’d obviously hurt to see the man she loves begin to love another woman. Book Camila was strong in her interview however many years later. We’re gonna actually get to see how everything really played out in real time.
@@heartofstone_ oh wow thanks for spoiling to those who haven’t read the book smh you could have put a warning if you’re gonna spam these comments all over
why are they trying to make camille jealous? She never was and never hated daisy, she always knew billy loved her, she just didn’t want her family to fall apart
As much as I love how strong Camila's character is in the books and I prefer it that way, I can kinda understand why they changed it so that the story would be more of a love triangle for the screen because that's a really popular TV trope and it's "easier" to tell the story this way. The one thing I am a bit disappointed in, though, is the fact that the show seems like it's going to focus mostly on the love story/love triangle instead of being a combination of every band member's stories, lives, perspectives, etc.. I still have high hopes either way because the set, casting and music are perfect! I literally can't wait to watch
It’s definitely easier, but it’s lazier too. We’ve seen that trope a million times before, they should’ve kept Camilla more similar to how she is in the book
*SPOILER* I totally get your point. But also remember that in the book Camilla was the only one dead in the end. So everyone only said good things about her in the documentary. She was pictured as an angel, because who would say something bad about a dead character. So we'll never know what really happened or who Camilla really was. Literally agreeing with all the comments about Camilla because she was the best character in the book TBH lol specifically because she never got jealous and understood the rock and roll/musician lifestyle. I didn't even think Billy and Daisy had much chemistry but, alas, they probably want to make it more dramatic and entertaining because, well, they can lol
I’m always really confused at this interpretation - Ik Billy did describe Daisy as an ‘unspoken’ topic, but that’s HIS pov, and all the perspectives in the book are supposed to be biased and warped versions of reality. In camilla’s lines, she talks about how her heart broke watching their snl performance, how she suspected Billy had feelings for Daisy long long long before the hotel room scene. I don’t know why it’s so ‘out of character’ for her to say “if you ever love her this stops” when at 7 months pregnant, having found him having sex in the van, she told him he literally had ‘until October 31st to be this man, then you have to shape up and be the father and the husband you’re supposed to be”. It looks like with all the filming she’s doing in the trailer, that it is that footage being used for the documentary, with that in mind, it honestly makes sense that she plays a more integral role - im not saying she didn’t in the book but, in terms of her own interviews, they were cut short because of her illness. If anything, I always took her complacency in the OG novel, a book that is so HUMAN, to be the most unrealistic part - with her characterisations as ‘foxy’ and ‘outspoken’ and protective, her quietness when it came to Daisy didn’t really make sense to me. I like this shift.
Ahahaha I’m torn on Camilla in this trailer but I do think they needed to make Billy and Daisy’s chemistry so undeniable or else the show doesn’t really work because why else would he develop feelings for Daisy ? 😅
Yeah the book I didn’t feel like they had so much chemistry cus they didn’t 😭. They just struggled with the same things and had things in common but that’s about it, and writing music. Aside from that they spent most of it hating or hurting each other 😭.
im glad they made camilla more vulnerable. she is unrealistically put together in the book.and also u gotta remember-- the book is done in interview format so the series has room to show fights that weren't described in the interviews. things billy and camilla wouldn't have repeated to their own daughter
@@malcolmadams2105 also as a songwriter I disagree. If any of the songs were good they actually would have hit the real charts. I thought it was very boring with no direction
I like how they added complexity to Camila. In the book, she was always sure that Billy would do the right thing and stay with his family. This ensured that Billy was seen in a more positive light than if she did have doubts about how strong his commitment was to his family. However, if there are interviews AND flashbacks, then that shows the contrast between confident Camila with hindsight on her side and younger Camila trying to believe Billy.
A little nervous about Camilas character because in the books I feel like she was so confident, so strong and she knew who she was. There wasn't really this... obvious in your face love triangle? Hope they didn't change it too much
I don’t understand why the romance between Billy and Daisy is the entire trailer. Yes, the book contains romance, but the book isn’t just about their romance; it’s about so much more. I hope this trailer isn’t what the series is gonna be, because the message of the book is not what I just saw.
You have to keep in mind they’re trying to draw in more viewers than just those who read the book. We’re gonna watch no matter what, and they have to sell to those who’ve never read it. Romance sells. So does drama.
@@cristinatrujillo7596 hmm the original drama in the book (karen&graham, the fall out of the band, billy’s addictions) would hook me more than the love triangle in this trailer
@@ValeriaSalinas-pp7xfI know right? They look sober af in the trailer, while Daisy is supposed to be under the influence 99% of the time according to the book
Y’all just saw a three minute trailer, they could not include the whole show in the trailer, I am begging you to calm down and wait to actually see the show.
10/10 this was an amazing series. I didn’t view Camila as weak or jealous, she was very practical and strong through a lot of unfairness in their marriage. Even though she wasn’t a jealous person, at some point she had to call it as she saw it for the sake of her own family’s future. As for the show, the story line, characters, music- absolutely a work of art 💯🙌
I see why people are nervous about Camila but I dont really agree. The only "jelous insecure Camila" scene here is where Billy tells her that is all an act. There are more scenes with Camila apparently being upset about Billy and Daisy but that is normal??? The fact that Camila was confident about her relationship with Billy doesn't mean that it didn't hurt her to see him being so close to Daisy. The rest of the scenes could be her being upset about anything else, because we know she endured a lot of shit from Billy. Also, this is all out of context, so let's not worrying until the show is out because overall it looks amazing.
i completely agree, i think people are forgetting that the book is written with the characters talking in the past tense, whereas the series is a mix of the past and present. even though camila's narration expresses a lack of jealousy or pain doesn't necessarily mean it's not part of her story.
I just hope they dont ruin Camila's character because I really really love book Camila, she's unique, fierce and independant and also so so sweet and I hope that they keep her amazing personnality in the adaptation. Also dying to see onscreen my rockstar aka Warren
i am so so excited for this series but there is so much more to the book than just billy, daisy and camila ! like someone else mentioned in the comments, creating a love triangle trope is something really popular for viewers, but it’s so much more than a love triangle. i cant wait to see how they portray the era the book is set in as well as the rest of the story line (i really hope we get an insight into the diff perspectives - especially karen’s!) i just hope that it’s not all too far off base ! none the less, the casting is perfect and exactly how i imagined it to be … i cant wait to consume this is in two days just like i did the book hehe !
@@larrahhh exactly !!! so happy someone else agrees! camilia is such a strong character and she's got so many sides to her! it would just be so sad to see that be diminished in the face of a "love triangle" to keep the viewers entertained !
I just read the book, in anticipation of the series. I'm a long-time Stevie Nicks fan, and I know the author is too. The book/movie is different and the same as Stevie and Lindsey's relationship at the same time. Both Stevie and Daisy are from upper-class families. Daisy is more of a LA version with uncaring parents coming up through the groupie / LA Sunset Strip scene. Stevie is from Northern California and Arizona and had very caring parents she was the apple of their eye. Stevie and Lindsey met in high school, fell in love with their first band Fritz, had their own album as Buckingham Nicks, and then joined FM. Stevie like Daisy had a clear vision of herself and confidence, but hers came from being a poet/songwriter. Stevie never did the groupie route and had that kind of upper-middle-class childhood and her ambition moved Stevie and Lindsey along more so then even Lindsey's did (he was more artistic but not as driven as Stevie). When Billy and Daisy meet my happenstance in the band, they don't have a relationship that existed before the band. Lindsey's girlfriend at the time of Fleetwood Mac wasn't as like admirable as Camilla. Lindsey's girlfriend went on a talk show later saying Lindsey was abusive and they both abused coke. The woman he's married to know and has three kids with (MUCH younger than Lindsey) is more of a Camilla type in a way that's she stable and they raised three beautiful kids that are now college / high school aged and she stood by him with his recent heart attack after being fired from the band.
Daisy Jones & The Six looks like it has massive potential. The way everything was executed, it's pretty much spot on to its source material. Riley Keough and the rest of the cast have already proven themselves worthy of receiving critical praises for their performances.
I really want to like this series but it looks to be differentiating alot from the book + i dont love daisie's casting/ modern hair makeup i think it makes her look alot older than she is and i always though camilla and billy were several years older than her still super excited i just hope they dont flatten the storyline or try to drag this storyline over several seasons if they do change the series so drastically they might as well put billy and daisy together bc i woudnt mind a fix it fic where daisy isnt addicted to hard drugs and theres no kids 🙃
This is 3 weeks into the future calling. It is soooooooo good! And I'm a grumpy harsh critic of EVERYTHING. It's amazing. Kinda like a version of Mystic Pizza where the people actually get in a band and work hard for it, and after years in the wilderness break through. I like how it took several episodes until the producer wisely put the main characters in the same room together. Riley Keough displays some superb talent here!
It took a good few episodes to get into this show but once I was in, I was truly in. Loved it! Riley Keogh as Daisy was amazing. She made her grandad Elvis proud with her vocals and great performance. Sam Claflin was also great, especially in the later episodes. At first I didn't like the music at all, but it's really grown on me now and I love some of the songs, and I play them in my head during the day, without even realising I'm doing it. I hope they do a 2nd season about their 20 year reunion, and they can record some new tracks too. Such a talented cast.
I love the sound of your voice, oh my I'm exploding, that hug, and the car scene, and the concert scene, I'm in awe, daisy is exactly how I pictured her, love the music, love everything I've seen, not enough Karen, can0t really wait.
Such a great representation of the 70s bands. I feel it, they truly captured the decade so well. Very close to what Fleetwood Mac went through but it's not about them. Beautiful vocals, acting and overall vibe.
Perfect! No complaints. The comments are talking about how they added / changed things but when has a show or movie adaptation stuck 100% to the script ? never. Obviously they expanded / changed some plot lines but it still feels like the book.
Guys, the series hasn't even started and you're already making a fuss. Just because Camila is crying in the trailer doesn't mean she's going to be so different from the book. Even because I doubt she was as strong as she made out to be. There is no such thing as not feeling jealous. if she was that good she wouldn't need to talk to Daisy at the hotel. This in itself shows a certain insecurity. I love Camila, but she's not perfect, nobody is. If I were in an interview, maybe I wouldn't admit that I was jealous eitheis She was strong, but she was also human.
OBSESSED. I can't wait. They all look exactly like how I pictured them in the book. I'm not going to get worked up over what they show of Camila in the trailer. Hopefully, in the show they depict her as the confident, strong woman she is in the book. I know for t.v. they usually change things up for the drama factor, so we'll see...
I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS. 2:16 to 2:23 gave me the chills, *spoiler* transitioning from their last time performing together to their first recording session - i'm so emotional, the editors of this trailer are so criminal for that. also that final look between them is SO STEVIE NICKS AND LINDSAY BUCKINGHAM, it's insane. i think people are valid in feeling nervous about the changes from book to screen, but i'm gonna share my thoughts. in terms of the focus on the romance, i'd like to think that it's specific to this trailer - i actually preferred that the trailer didn't give too much away about the drugs or the romance between karen and graham because trailers have a tendency to give everything away. i'm sure they'll be addressed, the trailer's just meant to excited fans and potential watchers to watch the series, rather than tell us every detail to expect. i think camila has been edited to look jealous here, but it seems mostly taken out of context - to me she is less jealous, more hurt. in the book, characters talk in retrospect, so naturally there'll be a difference between what camila in her 60s says and what actually happened/the depth of what she felt. my only concern is how they'll treat the drug storyline, though i'd like to think that it had been edited out of the trailer not the show as a whole. edit : theres a really quick clip of who i assume is daisy on the floor, possibly suffer from an overdose? also the clip of her in the pool, i'd say that's evidence for that particular storyline.
I LOVE that Elvis' grandchild is Singing AND Acting; really picking up where Elvis left off. And she really does hold a candle to The King♥I'm sure he's looking down with much pride.♥
"It's not enough to meet the right person, you have to meet them at the right time as well'. A profound quote from Season one uttered by the lead singer.
This trailer really live up to my expectation except ofc how they potray camila, but the chemistry between daisy and billy and how they sounds like, it's so great!
I watched the first five episodes of Daisy Jones and The Six and I’m currently watching episode six. I want to say Daisy Jones and The Six reminds me of Fleetwood Mac. That’s my mom’s favorite bands. She used to play Fleetwood Mac’s songs all the time when I was little.
Absolutely loved this!!! It war a rollercoaster of emotions. I never read the book as one told me it was interview style and about a band, not really my style. But the series, the cast, the plot, the twists and turns, so so so so so so so good!!!!
Was just telling somebody about this, and decided to revisit. Such a great series indeed. I was interested because of the Elvis connection, but then watching Riley in action, she's a great stand alone artist. She doesn't need her grandpa, or her mother or her grandmother's name at all. It's a great legacy to be sure, but Riley is truly an amazing talent. I hope we all hear much more from her!
I love how the composition of Honeycomb sounds so identical to "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac. You can really hear it in the acoustic guitar and drums towards the beginning of the song and then again in the guitar solo towards the end. I haven't read the book so I'm not sure how closely DJ&TS is meant to resemble Fleetwood Mac but it's so cool how much of a homage this song is to one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
@@hollabelle I definitely think so. You can really hear it when you listen the songs back to back. The guitar solo sounds like something Lindsey Buckingham would write. I think it's a pretty cool homage.
@@Queenofallthelizards yes I can definitely hear what you mean with the guitar. On second listen I think it’s the mixing, not the instruments/vocals, that makes it sound modern.
Well, I've heard that Daisy Jones & The Six was inspired by "Fleetwood Mac"(the story and sound) and by the Brazilian Hard-rock band from the 70's "Rita Lee & Tutti Frutti" (the protagonist's look).
It's always interesting when a movie or series is made out of a successful novel. This will be particularly interesting because this book gave a series of recollections from a group of individuals about what happened. The television series will show what actually happened. I can see a lot of fans of the book having issues with how certain characters will be portrayed, I myself will keep an open mind, and go in knowing the way one individual remembers events can differ from the way another individual remembers the same events, and the actual truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. I look forward to this adventure, I hope everyone has fun and enjoys the ride.
This series is outstanding. Amazing talent all around. I love it. The book has been in my beach bag for 2 years, but I never turned a page. Will definitely read now after the finale. ❤
I LOVED THIS SHOW! Sure there were some flaws but those made it even better. It made it realistic. Anyone not liking this is probably a sensitive gen-z tikok kid. It was a great show! First time ever that I found myself crying along with the characters, getting shivers of their intense chemistry. The vocals of billy and daisy work so well together it just gives you shivers down your spine. I love how you want to see Billy and Daisy together, and feel their desperation and longing for each other, but at the same time feel relieved that he chooses his wife instead and wants to be a better person. I loved Camila. Such a powerful, sweet, caring and strong woman. She was incredible.
I'm a baby Boomer. And I thought it was terrible, music acting all of it. Watched 6 episodes & quit. Fleetwood Mac fan here especially Stevie nicks and I don't see the parallels.
This was my initial fear, that Camila Morrone can't capture the utter power of Camilla from the book. The latter literally controlled the story! I am for Daisy x Billy but we all know Camilla is a terrific character. That said, this is a fantastic trailer and oh my god that song! Riley Keough rocks.
I'm actually EXCITED about some changes from the book! Is that Simone on stage with Daisy?!! And omg is Billy gonna get to punch Niccolo right in his stupid face?? Please say it's so!!
@@destini989 They all went their separate ways. It would be way too disconnected. What makes the story great is the chemistry they have together. If you split the stories up you lose that. Too many shows drag on with unnecessary seasons or sequels instead of just leaving a perfect ending alone.
@@kimberlee440 they can do it with a fictional version of Fleetwood Mac and use the period between 1977 Rumors to the Dance from 1997. I'd watch that in a heartbeat.
Railey is so loving and sweet. She is very talented and humble. I liked the series, she definitely shines. Camila, on the other hand, seems to be always posing, it's annoyng. In the shots she is always in a posed attitude, not relaxed but as if she was checking that she looks good and that makes her lose authenticity and spontaneity. Riley on the other hand is an actress who shows herself as she is, she gives depth to the characters, she makes them complex and you can connect with them.

There’s never going to be a Season 2 because the source material for it doesn’t exist. The story wraps up perfectly; there’s nowhere else for it to go.
The casting looks great! But I can already tell some changes they made which I hope just seem that way because of the trailer. I hope daisy is the main character in the show as well instead of just a plot point for Billy because she had her own story that was beautiful! And I hope they don’t make Camila as jealous as she seems in the trailer cause the way she handled it in the book I loved! Overall it looks good and I’m excited!
I'm hoping it was just creative editing. Maybe have those moments all be from that first tour before Daisy was even around. I thought it was refreshing to have Camilla be completely supportive, trusting, and secure in her relationship with Billy as well as Billy's relationship with the Six. Hopefully they aren't deviating too much. I viewed Daisy and Billy as co-main characters in the book. I really hope their individual stories are explored as much as the main plot.
She never was and never hated daisy, she always knew billy loved her, she just didn’t want her family to fall apart
downfall is already starting
right
my thoughts exactly
I’m scared they’ll make her character less strong
AGREED
@@violetlavi2207 I agree for sure! I was disappointed they changed it I think it would have been nice to see a different trope for once
@@heartofstone_ I never thought about it that way! I think it will be interesting to see a different side of her
@@heartofstone_ yes!!! and also the interviewer was Camilla’s daughter
The whole book is about Billy and Daisy having too much chemistry lol
@M T I hear you but it didn't work for me 😂
Ahahaha I’m torn on Camilla in this trailer but I do think they needed to make Billy and Daisy’s chemistry so undeniable or else the show doesn’t really work because why else would he develop feelings for Daisy ? 😅
Yeah the book I didn’t feel like they had so much chemistry cus they didn’t 😭. They just struggled with the same things and had things in common but that’s about it, and writing music. Aside from that they spent most of it hating or hurting each other 😭.
i hope they’re only painting camilla like this in the trailer or we’re going to have a problem
SAME
ya
im glad they made camilla more vulnerable. she is unrealistically put together in the book.and also u gotta remember-- the book is done in interview format so the series has room to show fights that weren't described in the interviews. things billy and camilla wouldn't have repeated to their own daughter
100%
God I agree! Like tolerating your husband’s emotional affair while caring for three young kids ?? Unrealistic af.
Exactly that's what people not understanding even certain characters retold certain situations in they own pov so alot was left for interpretation too
1000% agree
Exactly I read so many comments that Camila is stronger in the books and stuff but like this is a lot more realistic
So excited for this! What incredible casting, and can't wait to hear the songs! 🤩
As a songwriter the songs definitely get better. As it progresses
The cast are all nobodies.
Was that the crazy pastor I've seen on UA-cam a couple of times?
@@malcolmadams2105 also as a songwriter I disagree. If any of the songs were good they actually would have hit the real charts. I thought it was very boring with no direction
Riley is the granddaughter of Elvis, The King of Rock and Roll! What a talent she is! She's amazing!
wish her mom was here to see it :(
@@taffy93 Me too 😢
It would definitely be awesome if LMP watched this movie seeing her Daughter in it
I like how they added complexity to Camila.
Hope they didn't change it too much
this jealous Camilla stuff is making me nervous.
Love this but I’m terrified they’ll make camilas character weaker than she actually is
I don’t understand why the romance between Billy and Daisy is the entire trailer.
@@cristinatrujillo7596 hmm the original drama in the book (karen&graham, the fall out of the band, billy’s addictions) would hook me more than the love triangle in this trailer
yes like where is the drug addiction here? I thought it was a really important part of the story but is nowhere to be seen
💯 💯 💯
at 0:58 when they were singing, i started bursting out crying. it's exactly how i imagine them to sound like😭💖
I see why people are nervous about Camila but I dont really agree.
Also, this is all out of context, so let's not worrying until the show is out because overall it looks amazing.
i completely agree, i think people are forgetting that the book is written with the characters talking in the past tense, whereas the series is a mix of the past and present. even though camila's narration expresses a lack of jealousy or pain doesn't necessarily mean it's not part of her story.
finally, a sensible comment
I just hope they dont ruin Camila's character because I really really love book Camila, she's unique, fierce and independant and also so so sweet and I hope that they keep her amazing personnality in the adaptation. Also dying to see onscreen my rockstar aka Warren
I CANOT WAIT FOR MY HIMBO KING WARREN!! & if they don’t include his Karen/Bones (the lighting guy) conspiracy theory I don’t want it
Also love Camila but she was never independent, if she was she would've left billy
@@isabellemalveira2467 yes or she would have left him decide what he wanted.
i am so so excited for this series but there is so much more to the book than just billy, daisy and camila ! like someone else mentioned in the comments, creating a love triangle trope is something really popular for viewers, but it’s so much more than a love triangle. i cant wait to see how they portray the era the book is set in as well as the rest of the story line (i really hope we get an insight into the diff perspectives - especially karen’s!) i just hope that it’s not all too far off base ! none the less, the casting is perfect and exactly how i imagined it to be … i cant wait to consume this is in two days just like i did the book hehe !
Yes this is what I’ve been saying !!! People are acting as if the whole show is a love triangle which is not the case at all
@@larrahhh exactly !!! so happy someone else agrees! camilia is such a strong character and she's got so many sides to her! it would just be so sad to see that be diminished in the face of a "love triangle" to keep the viewers entertained !
I've seen it on repeat ever since it got released. I cannot take this, it is too much for me.
That last scene with Billy and Daisy crying on stage omg. I just know it will break me when I watch it complete.
I have never cried to a trailer EVER, the casting is phenomenal, this story I just know will be told as it should be. March 3rd please come quickly
I really want to like this series but it looks to be differentiating alot from the book + i dont love daisie's casting/ modern hair makeup i think it makes her look alot older than she is and i always though camilla and billy were several years older than her
still super excited i just hope they dont flatten the storyline or try to drag this storyline over several seasons
if they do change the series so drastically they might as well put billy and daisy together bc i woudnt mind a fix it fic where daisy isnt addicted to hard drugs and theres no kids 🙃
@@silasmarner7586it's à médiocre séries. Billy is too old for one thing, he's 36! The music is so Bland.
Beautiful vocals, acting and overall vibe.
i know they’re ab to change Camilla’s character but idc i will be defending her in everything
I just can’t get over the fact that Riley (Daisy Jones) is Elvis’s Granddaughter 😊 She’s amazing!
Perfect! No complaints. The comments are talking about how they added / changed things but when has a show or movie adaptation stuck 100% to the script ? never. Obviously they expanded / changed some plot lines but it still feels like the book.
Love seeing Sam Clafflin in a more serious project finally🎉
Are you being sarcastic?
cried my eyes out the last half of e10. what an adventure.
the casting was perfect and the music felt and sounded soooo good. 10/10
If I were in an interview, maybe I wouldn't admit that I was jealous eitheis
She was strong, but she was also human.
I can’t wait to watch this 100000 times till it comes out
Ditto
Can’t believe the trailers finally out!! Been waiting years for this moment ❤️
this show is going to be my new personality for this whole year
I hope Riley's Mom got to see some of this before she passed. This looks fantastic. Can't wait!
Despite my concerns for Camilla's character, I'm beyond excited for this show!
I feel terrible for Riley since she'll be doing press for this soon after her mother's death 😢
2:16 to 2:23 gave me the chills, *spoiler* transitioning from their last time performing together to their first recording session - i'm so emotional, the editors of this trailer are so criminal for that.
also that final look between them is SO STEVIE NICKS AND LINDSAY BUCKINGHAM, it's insane.
i think people are valid in feeling nervous about the changes from book to screen, but i'm gonna share my thoughts.
in terms of the focus on the romance, i'd like to think that it's specific to this trailer - i actually preferred that the trailer didn't give too much away about the drugs or the romance between karen and graham because trailers have a tendency to give everything away. i'm sure they'll be addressed, the trailer's just meant to excited fans and potential watchers to watch the series, rather than tell us every detail to expect.
i think camila has been edited to look jealous here, but it seems mostly taken out of context - to me she is less jealous, more hurt. in the book, characters talk in retrospect, so naturally there'll be a difference between what camila in her 60s says and what actually happened/the depth of what she felt.
my only concern is how they'll treat the drug storyline, though i'd like to think that it had been edited out of the trailer not the show as a whole.
edit : theres a really quick clip of who i assume is daisy on the floor, possibly suffer from an overdose? also the clip of her in the pool, i'd say that's evidence for that particular storyline.
all of this!!
NYT article released today talks about a scene where daisy says their SNL performance was exciting, but maybe not as much as cocaine 😂😅
I LOVE that Elvis' grandchild is Singing AND Acting; really picking up where Elvis left off. And she really does hold a candle to The King♥I'm sure he's looking down with much pride.♥
IM LITERALLY SOBBING IT LOOKS SO GOOD
"It's not enough to meet the right person, you have to meet them at the right time as well'.
A profound quote from Season one uttered by the lead singer.
As a book reader this was magical to watch. I can't wait to get my hands on the tv show :)))
'As a book reader'
This trailer really live up to my expectation except ofc how they potray camila, but the chemistry between daisy and billy and how they sounds like, it's so great!
Just finished the series, and it was AMAZING! Hope there is a season 2.
There won’t be a Season 2
I watched the first five episodes of Daisy Jones and The Six and I’m currently watching episode six. I want to say Daisy Jones and The Six reminds me of Fleetwood Mac. That’s my mom’s favorite bands. She used to play Fleetwood Mac’s songs all the time when I was little.
Camilia stans, we ride at dawn! 🗡️
damn right
I believe this soundtrack would be the death of me, can't wait!
Finished this book just moments ago. I am watching this with tears in my eyes
Ughhh I’m scared now after seeing these clips of Camilla! I hope they don’t ruin it 😢
Can't stop watching it! This cast is so perfect🔥
You really think so? I thought it sounded completely modern.
If someone has Camila's back that will be me
YES
This series is outstanding. Amazing talent all around. I love it. The book has been in my beach bag for 2 years, but I never turned a page. Will definitely read now after the finale. ❤
The show is way better than the book, tbh.
Finished book today!! I’m beyond pumped🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
This was my initial fear, that Camila Morrone can't capture the utter power of Camilla from the book. The latter literally controlled the story! I am for Daisy x Billy but we all know Camilla is a terrific character.
That said, this is a fantastic trailer and oh my god that song! Riley Keough rocks.
she's supposed to be the next jennifer lawrence hopefully she doesn't disappoint you
Riley seems shy and sweet in this trailer. Daisy Jones isn’t. Where is Daisy Jones?
I can't magine another cast, it' s just perfect omg
“it’s an act you know that” billy dunne is the biggest liar i know 1:38
I'm actually EXCITED about some changes from the book! Is that Simone on stage with Daisy?!! And omg is Billy gonna get to punch Niccolo right in his stupid face?? Please say it's so!!
one of the show of this year, miniseries or not, the cast, the plot, the music, perfection.
Well Riley can actually act and has great vocals. Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in her case.
just finished reading the book.. diving into the songs on spotify and ready to watch this!
Not only they made out Camille jealous but the CHANGED THE LYRICS!!
on the lyrics topic...how is that a surprise?
Bring on Season 2! Loved this series. It is a very accurate description of band relationships and the music business.
They have already said there won’t be a second season. There’s nowhere else for the story to go.
@@kimberlee440 I disagree there's plenty of places for it to go. What happened between the time the band broke up and they saw each other again?
@@destini989 They all went their separate ways. It would be way too disconnected. What makes the story great is the chemistry they have together. If you split the stories up you lose that. Too many shows drag on with unnecessary seasons or sequels instead of just leaving a perfect ending alone.
@@kimberlee440 they can do it with a fictional version of Fleetwood Mac and use the period between 1977 Rumors to the Dance from 1997. I'd watch that in a heartbeat.

Beyond excited for this, March can't come fast enough! ❤️🔥🤗
Perfect casting, excited for this one! The book was amazing ❤️🔥
The casting is so accurate!! I love this.❤
The actors fit the book descriptions so perfectly, I can't wait to watch this!
Was in love w the book and now the show is killing me too
Railey is so loving and sweet.
I just finished streaming the show last night, and I loved, loved, loved it. The ending blew me away. I have not read the book, but if it’s as good as the show I will definitely read it.
I almost never say this, but the show was better than the book
Yaaay! Can’t wait to watch this show, plus Riley is in it..❤ and boy she’s got the singing genes running through her veins.
cant believe is finally here. I'm so excited 😭
They’ve made a beautiful series, truly timeless and transformative! I hope this style of show continues and Taylor Jenkins Reed is a visionary 🩵 all the actors were perfect - I could not have imagined a better adaptation!
I watched all 10 episodes and I didn’t know Daisy was Elvis grand child , she was so familiar but I was so surprised when I found out . She is amazing; pretty; talented. I ❤her
Absolutely nailed the casting... Can't wait for the songs

Side note: Suki Waterhouse is beautiful 😭
Great casting & show. Def deserve an Emmy.
I really hope this gets nominated at the Emmys 2023, and I hope they dedicate that show to the late Lisa Marie Presley
Haven't read the book or know nothing about the story except for the fact that it's partly inspired by Fleetwood Mac. And seeing Suki Waterhouse playing keyboards makes me emotional as it reminds me of recently deceased Christine Mcvie...
Would love a season 2 please! Perhaps the band can get together for a reunion show and show Daisy and Billy in their new relationship after maturing
There’s never going to be a Season 2 because the source material for it doesn’t exist. The story wraps up perfectly; there’s nowhere else for it to go.
i was an extra in this show! i’m so excited that the trailer finally dropped!
Hopefully, since it's a series, there will be plenty of room to let the story breathe
Daisy in the book is I would say problematic. But the chemistry Billy and Daisy had is something else. I love Camila so much too! Her in the book is the perfect wife!
The show is so addicting. The chemistry between all the actors is so intense. The sexual tension between Daisy and Billy is palpable.
Ugh
The way that Sam Claflin and Suki Waterhouse star in Love, Rosie where Rosie 's surname is also Dunne...it's too good to be a coincidence
So good, the casting , the music, the whole vibe! This is one of the best adaptations of a book ive ever seen
