1380 is quite a good result for an International student who hasn't been brought up with the US education system. I know you're feeling disappointed but you should be proud!
1380 is a perfectly fine score, it is in the 90th percentile range and especially that math score is very strong. I got the same math score too, and it was also the English section which was more troublesome-like 60 points lower than my math. Good luck with your college admissions, I wish you the best :).
If this is your first time writing it as an internation student, that is an excellent score! I got 1120 on my first try. JUst dont forget t keep practicing. After a year of practice i was able to reach 1520
Thank you so much for you message and wow that is impressive that you got a 1520 congrats. I have chosen to not focus on the SAT no more as the majority of universities are test optional.
@@E9Gaming i took Sat prep over the summer and part of the school year which lasted like 4 months. With 4 classes per week and each class being 3 hours long with 1 day of test taking. Then after the prep I used khan academy for some practice tests and also did like nearly 800 practice porblems on there including math and english. It was tedious and I am glad it was over
As an international student who did October’s test myself, your score is actually impressive . Some of my friends ,who are absolute geniuses, also did the test , but non of them got as high as your score . So I’m proud of you and I hope you get the score you aimed for the next time.
Thank you, it is just that I was getting so high on my practice tests and then I get like a 70+ drop on the real test it is so annoying but yeah most colleges are test optional.
Thank you bro I been so focused on watching like how good like Ivy League students get that I started to think getting a 1500+ is normal but now that you told me this it has made me feel so much better congratulations on your score as well
Thank you for your message. I would recommend using khan academy and just watching all the videos and doing a lot of practice the only way to get better at maths is to practice a lot. You can use a website called schoolhouse.world, I am a tutor on there and you get free tutoring sessions so a lot of people do SAT sessions. If you send me a message on Instagram I will be more than happy to help you
Aye I got the same score. 680 RW 700 M. I thought I did way worse ngl. I cried after the test. My score increased by 70 points from last time and now I feel better about my college options. Good luck.
To be very honest I wouldn’t do anything as learning anything new would do more harm than good, but if you insist just go over stuff you already know and just make sure you prepare your bag before the day have at least 8 hours of sleep before the exam make sure you have food snacks to take and yeah most universities are test optional so don’t worry if you don’t score what u expected 🙏🏾
Same score as you, 710 in Math and 670 in English, my previous score was 1280 and I wanna apply to the US early so I'm not sure if I should be sending my scores but I guess I will because why not right
Congratulations on your score. I am part of the Sutton trust us programme, so I am going to be giving you some tips. Most colleges are test optional so submitting a 1380 would do more harm than good assuming you are applying to top colleges. If you need more tips don't be afraid to comment again or dm me on my Instagram account
@@dylanferreira. Thank you for your response :) The reason why I think I should submit them is because I am doing the IB certificate, so other than my GPA they really have nothing to base my performance off of. Most universities I'm applying to have an SAT midrange of around where I am (1280-1450) or around there, so I thought my SAT score would help give them a little more understanding of how I can perform. I know a 1380 isn't that spectacular, but I still thought a 96th percentile test would impress. Should I still submit it?
Most universities are aware of how international education systems works and your counsellor will send a school report other so they will understand the IB system
I am applying to imperial, Warwick, UCL, bath, and I already got a offer from Bristol. I was planning to apply to Oxford but I didn't want to sit entrance exams.
The US system would allow me to take classes from loads of different subjects instead of just focusing on one subject for three years. Also, I like doing entrepreneurship, and the UK is terrible compared to the US. And uni looks more fun in the states.
@@dylanferreira. I go to a T10 school right now, and have a lot of friends that go to schools around the US, from Ivy League to community college. Honestly, I wouldn’t stress to much about, say, getting into a T10 or 20 vs a T30 or T50. There are a lot of good universities, and even “worse” ones have highly intelligent and hardworking professors and students. Anyways, I remember going through the college application process. Good luck! It’s stressful but I’m sure it’ll work out fine.
I'll go for test optional too if I don't get something above a 1450 in December. Got a 1290 (630 RW 660 M). I missed like 6 questions in the math calc section Dx.
@@dylanferreira. Out of the 20 im applying to, my top 3 would be Princeton, USC and Ut Austin. Im also applying to other top schools but these 3, I have a real chance with.

How much effort did you put into receiving that 1520? And what did you use to study if you don’t mind me asking.

Some test centres have delays wait until the end of next week if it is still not out contact collegeboard

If you applying for a STEM major can there be an element on the English side of the test?
No the English side of the sat is just about English

How did you go about the English aspect!
I didn't get that high ,do you use a tutor or UA-cam channel or something?
I highly recommend khan-academy or schoolhouse.world they are both free services
And sometimes I use maths section I normally get higher on my practice test I don’t know why I got so low but oh well
