I got a nice size one in a little 4” pot about a month ago. I have it hanging under a grow light, doing so well, grown a lot already. I’m an underwater deliberately, but I check my plants daily and it will only be dry maybe one to two days. I’m slowly transferring my plants into orchid pots. I know it will mean more watering, but I have a theory, after some experimenting, that most plants will benefit from extra air circulation to the roots.
I’ve always had great luck with propagation in water but I ALWAYS add a pothos cutting to every water propagation they release a hormone that says grow!!!!
I love how thorough you were with the details. I came looking for the information on how to make it go bushy and you have delivered! Very curious about the chance of it push out more than one branch if the main stem gets cut? Given that there are multiple nodes available below the cut.
Hi there! Thanks for your great video about this beautiful plant.😍👍🏻🌱 I have had no issues so far with propagating RT. I only do this in spring and summer and keep the cuttings in water in a space with lots of light. It took up to 3 months but they always rooted properly.
Aww man no wonder why mine was getting yellow specifically at the bottom! I’ve been letting it dry out like a pothos but now I know it’s okay to keep it moist most of the time then!
Thank you SO much for your very informative video! I've been struggling with my mini monstera and couldn't find any online tips or videos that related to my struggles.....until now! Hopefully I can save my little plant with my new found knowledge 😘
As a new plant person in the past year or so I can confirm everything you just said and wished I'd come across this video back in Sept when I bought a cutting with one leaf. Its been one heck of a ride with new leaf dieing and now another leaf unfurling and the original leaf hanging on for dear life. I'm not out of the woods yet. 😬
Great content and beautiful rhaphidophora! I just started propagating in perlite. Are you supposed to leave water in the container with the cuttings or just wet perlite? I'm also trying to rehab a calathea that got root rot in perlite and have the same question. I cut the bad roots away and put her in wet perlite and of course she drooped like crazy, so I put water in the bottom 1/3 of the container. I heard the roots that grow in perlite, moss or dirt are not water roots so it's supposed to be just wet perlite. But others say the opposite. To always leave water in the bottom third of the container. I would be oh so grateful if someone can help me out with this! My rehab calathea and new cuttings can't afford my learning curve, lol. Thanks much and brightest blessings 🌺
I always leave a little bit of water at the bottom of the container, you wanna make sure there’s enough water so it doesn’t dry out but not too much that it’s touching the roots. The perlite should basically never be dry, hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Nice bushy Tetrasperma ! I have a problem with mine that new leaves are smaller and smaller dont know why :( I even gave her a stick to help standing. maybe she needs new pot ?
I’ve had one for a year or so now and it constantly has brown and yellow spots. It was fairly full when I got it and now it only has like 6 leaves… I’ve repotted it, I give it plant food here and there, I’ve done everything I can think of and it will NOT get bigger or have any new leaves! It’s like stuck 😢 I don’t remember the last time it looked super healthy. I’ve even inspected the roots also and no issues. I have no idea what to do lol.
Could the spots be some type of fungus/disease? You may just have an unhealthy plant. My friend had one like that, she gave me a cutting, and I didn’t have any luck with it either.
my RT was growing super fast and then it started slowing down a lot and new leaves are smaller.. do you know why? a couple bottom leaves yellowed so maybe. i need to repot it
It just doesn't feel very clean, it grows mold, is a breeding ground for fungus gnats and it's hard to get it off the roots, we're just not the best of friends 🤣
I bought it 2 days ago and the leaves are drooping.I don't know what to do. I googled about it watched YT but still don't know how to fix it. Could you give me advice please??🥺🥺🥺🥺
Omg, let me help you, your acting and over sized gestures, take away and re a total distraction to your information, and tey nit being so condescending to your audience whom might call it. Mini monstera..

Interesting, I've heard it's not just pothos that produces the growth hormone but any plant that's propagating 😎
They do to be sure. I’ve always had the best luck using pothos and I have an abundance of them haha ♥️ thanks for the reply!
finally, i got the answer why some leaves has less fenestration. thanks.

Mine is very busy, but not tall yet cuz I haven’t put it on a pole. Yours is very nice and healthy looking
I've heard letting them crawl onto a potting media so it roots on its own and then cutting them works really well
The leaf without fenestration was a very good advice.

Oh no haha, hope it has a happy ending!
Wow so healthy and huge 😍 👏 thanks for sharing info.

Thank YOU! You too 🤩
Thank you, enjoyed the care tips.
Your plant is amazing.
Thank you! Just got my RT. Planning to propa so i'd get a bushier pot
Good luck! 💕
When you propogate I'm perlite are you supposed to add water or keep it dry?
Very helpful informative video. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
i like pon in a 4 inch self watering pot for props
Mine is pretty leggy 😢. Damn yours is gorgeous
Thanks a lot

Try more sunlight. If a plant isn't getting enough sun it will reduce the amount of energy it uses to create new leaves, thus making them smaller.
What Alexis said, I'd try more light, hope that helps 😎
My Raphidophora’s leaves are drastically reduced in size. I think it doesn’t like fertiliser. Please help

Same! I'm so happy I found this video though and hope I can apply this info to save my little plant.

Beautiful plant! May I ask where did you purchase your necklace?
It’s from a small business owner Mica Peet 😎
@@JosieYapsALot thank you!
When is it's growing season?
my RT was growing super fast and then it started slowing down a lot and new leaves are smaller.. do you know why? a couple bottom leaves yellowed so maybe. i need to repot it
Why do we need to frequently propagate it?
do i cut the yellow leaf?
Where do you get the plank from?
You can go to Lowes, they will cut it to your preferred size for free
👍
I’m curious why you don’t like sphagnum moss!?
It just doesn't feel very clean, it grows mold, is a breeding ground for fungus gnats and it's hard to get it off the roots, we're just not the best of friends 🤣

Can you dm me on instagram with pictures and what you've done to it since you got it?
Do you think that's hard to properly try to root citrus? 🍊 lol 😂
