I've just binged watched several hours of your videos. Planterina disappeared on me and I needed another passionate and authentic plant lover to learn from. I'm a bit (lot) plant nerd surrounded by people who loves them and thinks I am crazy. I think your plants are beautiful. I grow in dirt but recently obtained a fish tank with leca pebble trays imbedded at the top that the fish water filters through. Especially if plants are grown in the leca! As a plant enthusiast, who already roots babies in water... I was immediately intrigued. After watching your videos I am excited about the next chapter in my plant growth. I have failed in the past with moss poles and yet I believe I may understand them better. I will be trying again soon. Just so very glad to have found you and grateful your personality allows your joy for plants to be felt from so very far away. One plant enthusiast to another.... Thank you.
It's incredible how your voice and your personality makes me feel happy Nora! I broke up and I am quite sad, but as soon as I watch one of your videos I feel better, they really cheer up! Thank you!! 😀
New sub here. Perfect video for me. I have this moss pole and haven't used it before. Also I have just started using the tree fern fibre to some of my substrates. What percentage of tree fern and spaghum do you use?? Is it 50/50??
Love it I took had a hard time doing this type of moss pole. I did mine just a few weeks ago. I think may have potted to deep with the spagnum and I need to check it. I need to just do leca.
Loved this video ❤. To be honest, some of my plants have been late to the game but that’s only because i’ve purchased plants from Bunnings etc and they may have like their 3rd or 4th aerial root 😅. I really love your idea of adding the tree fern to increase the moisture to the moss. As unless it’s my two Albos, I tend to forget to water the poles. I have Cocopeat (Bunnings), is that the same thing or not?
👋 hi! This is my first visit to your channel and I must say that you made it look easy. I have only ever grown my plants in a chunky aroid mix and of course, different blends for different plants and have only attempted Pon 2 times with disastrous results. I see so many people using leca balls but I am now very apprehensive about taking my healthy plants out of their existing homes. My question is, when transitioning them do you have any advice on how to do it successfully or maybe I should use younger plants? I fear that I will cause root rot when I put them on moss poles. I do have a philodendron on one but am very careful about watering the plant itself and rely on the moss pole to keep it hydrated. Sorry for such a long read. I just noticed how beautiful your plants were and am hoping you can help. 🙂
This looks great. I have this type of pole, so it’s good to see how you worked it out it without the garden stake and whatnot. I’m curious about chop and extend in semihydro. Are the roots growing into the pole medium (SM & TFF) compatible with leca or pon in a semi hydro setup?
Hi Nora thank so much to sharing about grow in Leca And Tq to Shaw haw to use plastic mose pole. I like to orderin but what size larger or M Is better my plant getting tall 😊❤
Nora do you just mix the tree fern fibre and Sphagnum Moss 50/50? Also would you mind explaining to me how I find your most recent upcoming Q&A posts so I can ask a few questions please 😊 Love the plastic pole. I've just received my first ones and keen to have a go.
I do a mix with more moss than fibre because the tree fern is way more expensive and harder to find. I do not have an upcoming Q & A at the moment, I suggest asking your questions in the Semihydroponics with the leca queen Facebook group. I am very active there and there are lots of other people who know my videos better than I do and who know alot about leca and semi hydro who are happy to help as well. facebook.com/groups/232883366581408
The purpose of the video and the purpose of why anyone clicks on any video is because of the title. The reason why a person might click off is because the excessive rambling. The amount of times you get tongue tied is excessive, almost as if you can’t speak in front of ppl (or the camera) …. then again I did speed up this video one and a half times the normal amount and I promise you if you do the same thing you will see just how annoying the talking sounds LOL. But the craft of what you’re doing looks nice
Attaching the plant to the pole before potting it up is GENIUS!
genius ? And how would you do that ? Potting it first then sticking moss pole into the substrate by the force. Thats not genius thats common sense :D

Welcome aboard! Yes 50 50 is good but I tend to use less tree fern fibre cause it is more expensive than moss
Could you do this with a monstera?
yes you can, this plant is actually a Monstera but you can do it with the big kind as well.
Beautiful, I have some plants that I need to put on a moss pole and this video is perfect timing.
Perfect!
Thank you soooo much im from algeria and i love youre videos
Fabulous video thanks, where do you source your sphagnum moss?
My local bunnings
Love it
