Got some pretty good buffs, but man 1 gun with 120 rounds and no traces is pain
Being offset to one side quite far is a nice cherry on top. At least once you do find a hit, whatever you hit goes down.
The reason it dosnt have any tracers is because it had radar aim which for some reason aint on the draken in war thunder
Here is a tip, don't use gun convergence, and trust me, lead the gun a lot more that you would think, I've been getting 3 kill games with just the gun.
@@BufferThunder I use gun convergence on almost everything, but this is one of the few planes that I don’t. Not sure why it makes such a difference, but it definitely does.

The XS is my most flown plane and I have to say you can absolutely carry your own weight in this thing. To those out there just note if you stall out or pull to hard sub ~300ish kph and dump your speed you can flat spin even in RB, which is tricky to recover from.
Air brake can save you if you’re quick enough though. It was my most flown until the flight model change
@@norske_ow3440 Even with the airbrake its a dice roll if it actually gets you pointed in the right direction. Atleast in my experience, which doesnt mean much and is anecdotal
@@Padgeot right, I just meant to hopefully avoid the irreversible death spin. still does a bunch of flopping around and if you arent high enough youre dead anyway

the gripen i'm so excited for i hope britain gets one, but the 35 will always be the best kite. it's like. disturbingly fast as well i never expect it to be so quick

I love this thing. I got it during the anni. this year and grinded out the entire tree in like 2 weeks.
Perma fighting ML MLA MLD and F4S makes me want to do unspeakable things
I haven't played the old flight model of the J35D but I sapaded it from stock a few days ago and really enjoyed it. The compression at high speeds you complain about is a blessing imo, because it allows you to rate fight almost everything. Very useful when fighting multiple opponents and you can't afford to dump speed to kill just one of them. Lack of flares obviously sucks, but wasn't that much of an issue, most of my deaths I never even saw the missile coming so flares wouldn't have helped anyway. I'm not the best player, but managed a 3:1 K/D with the plane which is slightly above average for me. Overall good plane at 10.3.
One of the better Rank 7 premiums in the game. Haven’t had a huge reason to use it since I finished Viggen grind so I’m looking forward to needing it again. Also F-15 reveal tomorrow RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!(probably)

Because of the missiles you can get a pretty crazy kd in this jet, especially because of the down tiers 5 to 6k,s aren’t very rare
Tbh Sweden needs a new rank top tier premium, something that’s great at overall grinding like a base bomber or sorts. (But tbf if you carry 2 missiles and fully rocket payload and farm bases you are guaranteed 5K RP depending on the Matckmaking.)
I had all the JA37D, AJ37, AJS37 MIG21 semispaded with only half a modification left at each rank so I could get the bonus and get gripen super quickly except gaijin decided to reduce the rp cost on them all and now they are all spades and I won’t be able to get any bonus. All I have is a bunch of boosters saved form battle pass :(

I’m at the point now where, why grind planes like the Flanker and the Gripen when I can shoot them down in my shiny new F-15.
Most planes up until now I really didn’t care about. But now that we’ve reached modern jets I recognize all of them and think they are cool. But I just don’t have the time, energy, or money to grind out whole trees for singular planes.
But I still can’t wait for them to come.
I can’t wait to have to climb straight up to evade a gripen on my tail, because my thrust to weight is the only advantage I’ll have in that scenario.
And I can’t wait for a flanker to try a cobra on me because that’s the only thing they can do to try to avoid my guns.

While this is an amazing jet the amount of people spamming the thing right now is insane, can't even finish half your dogfights with them cus they'll all just crash half way through

Is it possible to destroy a base using the Draken's HE rockets? I did the math and it doesnt seem like enough TNT to destroy a base, only around 86kg of TNT. I'm not sure if rockets deal damage to bases differently from bombs though.
I can confirm it is possible if you bring all of the rockets. You still get 2 AAMs which is sick.

Just a side note, in sim the J35xs is an absolute monster and easily dogs on Mig23s, i honestly get excited when i see one cause i know it's an easy kill.

how do you have all these extra icons/fonts on some enemys on a large range?
The range at which enemies are detected is dependent on crew skill, he probably has an ace crew.
