5:25 the flanker will also show up as a mig29 as of right now (unless it was *just* changed, and afaik as someone else pointed out they use the same radar), however it works out fine, as no matter which plane it actually is you can assume it’s gonna be an ER flying at you
They designed the su-27s radar to have a lot of commonality with the 29s radar, hence why they both show up as the same. Plus, given that both planes carry the same weapons, people who design RWRs never bothered to differentiate them.
Please implement the SPO series rwr inside cockpits for russian planes. It would be so cool to play without HUD. It would also get a buff since they can know if the signal is close or far.

Just fly as low as you can. You’ll dodge 99.99% of all radar guided missiles in war Thunder. The rare chance you still die will because you were still within the splash damage radius.

It would be very good to see in the simulator the activation of lights in the vehicle when they fix you or launch a missile, if you add the alert beeps to that, it gives a gigantic immersion to the simulator, then there would be other good changes for simu such as being able to load fuel in air or that the map feels more alive but it would be deviating from the topic, excellent explanation and very good work Mr. Snail 🐌 ❤

Mostly, RWR and radar functions as intended. I'll give the devs that. However, while I understand being in close proximity to a plane will set off your own RWR, I feel like some are notably exaggerated. For instance, from experience, and the experience of all my friends who play high tier jets, the Mig-23's Sapphire-23 series of radar seems to have MASSIVE side-lobes. I should not be getting a lock tone from a Mig-23 7,000m below me scraping the deck who is targeting someone directly below me who is also scraping the deck. It makes it impossible sometimes to tell if a threat is actually for you if you're picking up every single Flogger in the general area even if it's not looking a target anywhere near you.

it's the av8b+, it has the fa18s radar. The way modern rwrs can tell what radar is pinging your plane is they compare the radar signal to a databank stored in the internal computer of the plane (i think, it's a bit more complicated and i'm not an expert). So it's not showing you what plane is pinging you, but the radar type

Its highly unlikely they could ever add any stealth aircraft because all of the are *highly* classified and would end up being unrealistically broken or unrealistically bad, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a RCS update anytime soon.

Please make a tutorial on how to evade missiles launched from the front at long distances! Also, do you plan on adding electronic warfare aircraft (like the EA-6B Prowler) to the game? Not necessarily has player vehicles, but as AI ones. It would be exciting to fly our attack aircraft near such planes to avoid detection a little longer and give ground pounding in air battles a bit of a kick!
Keep your speed up, turn off after burners, and drop countermeasures. When you approach for a head-on, shoot a bit above your target and perform a maneuver to shake off incoming fire.

Do you plan to have different data base for different aircrafts ? Currently, the J7E I believe still appears as a question mark even if you are flying a J7E yourself. It's the same for the CW wave of the mirage 2000 when guiding a r530 I believe as well

I was getting a little bit worried if that you were in first person mode, there wouldn't be a signal or a warning that a missile is being launched at you in first person. Does this update add that? Question: How is it fair to drastically reduce the effectiveness of certain aircraft’s RWR without also adjusting their battle ratings? Aircraft like the F4J and F14a almost exclusively see opposing aircraft with PD radars which they can no longer detect. This change has made flying those aircraft almost impossible in Sim without consistently taking SARH’s to the face with zero warning. This change should not have gone ahead without adjusting the sim battle ratings.
Hey i doubt you will see this let alone do anything about it but : flying close to the ground to defeat the radar missles is completely over powerd and makes radar missles an chaff pretty much useless.. please make chaff a bit more effective and make the flying low thing a lot less effective... Like 3-4/10 missles shuld miss if the enemy is low... Not 9.9/10

@@CPUfy The balance is that the non monopulse missiles like the 7F, 7E, ect, have much lower multipathing than they should. If it were modeled 100% accurately, the 7M and ER would remain unchanged while everything else would fail at even high altitudes.
Nothing to do with the vid: but I propose having all Utility helicopters like the blackhawk and huey etc to land ai troops on the deck and run to capture points. These troops can then be armed with rifles or a couple AT weapons to slow down tanks and/or attack other enemy infantry that have also been landed. It would give these platform Helis a more dynamic purpose. Please respond if this can or cant be done in the near future.
Longest range ? Phoenix (C version)from the F14B(the C glides better than the A so have longer range). Also that’s currently the only ARH air-to-air missile in the game. However it turns really bad and accelerate slowly. Best In SARH: R-27ER/ER1, fastest and longest range SARH missile with 35g turn. The plane that carry the most of them is the Su27 and its Chinese version with 6 of them at most.
When I spawn in at the beginning of a match and I see the launch warning when I'm still 10-15k from the closest enemy, does that mean I'm just picking up a missile launch directed at someone else, or is that specifically at me?

It’s supposed to be that way. The Su-27 has the MiG-29s radar. Same reason that the Italian Harrier shows up as F-18 on RWR.
@@tato300 No they don't. N001 on Su-27 versus N019 on MiG-29. Possibly the same telltale frequency and other attributes, however they are different.

Some of the more advanced RWR systems have IFF and it will show using the symbology on the RWR display in sim.

@@cookiegenius_1413 yeah that is correct but if he relock you after a very short period of time the missile can regain track and hit you the best way to dodge any missile is by making it "tired"

Also, do you plan on adding electronic warfare aircraft (like the EA-6B Prowler) to the game? Not necessarily has player vehicles, but as AI ones. It would be exciting to fly our attack aircraft near such planes to avoid detection a little longer and give ground pounding in air battles a bit of a kick!
Keep your speed up, turn off after burners, and drop countermeasures. When you approach for a head-on, shoot a bit above your target and perform a maneuver to shake off incoming fire.

Do you plan to have different data base for different aircrafts ? Currently, the J7E I believe still appears as a question mark even if you are flying a J7E yourself. It's the same for the CW wave of the mirage 2000 when guiding a r530 I believe as well

can somone pls answer this question? So I am currently working to get the F 16C. I was getting a little bit worried if that you were in first person mode, there wouldn't be a signal or a warning that a missile is being launched at you in first person. Does this update add that? I was really confused on what they were saying and just want to clarify if that is what they are talking about. i would really appreciate it for whoever answers so I can confirm. Thank you.
Yeah yeah yeah the f18’s radar is on the av8b. But it wasn’t before. So. I think that means something…
Since the rwr update it did always show up as F18 and there is still no f18 so it didn’t meant anything i believe.

Question: How is it fair to drastically reduce the effectiveness of certain aircraft’s RWR without also adjusting their battle ratings? Aircraft like the F4J and F14a almost exclusively see opposing aircraft with PD radars which they can no longer detect.
This change has made flying those aircraft almost impossible in Sim without consistently taking SARH’s to the face with zero warning.
This change should not have gone ahead without adjusting the sim battle ratings.

Hey i doubt you will see this let alone do anything about it but : flying close to the ground to defeat the radar missles is completely over powerd and makes radar missles an chaff pretty much useless.. please make chaff a bit more effective and make the flying low thing a lot less effective... Like 3-4/10 missles shuld miss if the enemy is low... Not 9.9/10

@@bigboi5962 it is in fact a real thing yes. But in warthunder the effects are greatly exaggerated. Dont quote me on this but someone told me it was an intentional balance feature for SARH missiles again im not sure about the fact it was done for balance
@@CPUfy The balance is that the non monopulse missiles like the 7F, 7E, ect, have much lower multipathing than they should. If it were modeled 100% accurately, the 7M and ER would remain unchanged while everything else would fail at even high altitudes.

I just wondering why the F-4S radar can only detect "?" And "HI" ?
Nothing to do with the vid: but I propose having all Utility helicopters like the blackhawk and huey etc to land ai troops on the deck and run to capture points. These troops can then be armed with rifles or a couple AT weapons to slow down tanks and/or attack other enemy infantry that have also been landed. It would give these platform Helis a more dynamic purpose. Please respond if this can or cant be done in the near future.

Longest range ? Phoenix (C version)from the F14B(the C glides better than the A so have longer range). Also that’s currently the only ARH air-to-air missile in the game. However it turns really bad and accelerate slowly.
Best In SARH: R-27ER/ER1, fastest and longest range SARH missile with 35g turn. The plane that carry the most of them is the Su27 and its Chinese version with 6 of them at most.

When I spawn in at the beginning of a match and I see the launch warning when I'm still 10-15k from the closest enemy, does that mean I'm just picking up a missile launch directed at someone else, or is that specifically at me?
