Take a shot every time I said “and” 😂 Sorry about that, I was a little rusty! I’ve made an effort not to do that again, check out part 2 here! m.ua-cam.com/video/PicfGTs_O64/v-deo.html
First I thought this "and" thing won't be so dramatic. But you often really pointed it out with your voice that it made me cringe 😂 lucky me I don't drink alcohol though. 😋
It was so relaxing that you actually spoke throughout the video. Most of these “clean with me” videos are overly sped up with annoying club music or something?? This video was so enjoyable!
Chandler Black Thank you! I really dislike videos with just music over them (it seems lazy to me 😂) so I try to avoid that. Although I realized a little too late that I said “and” way too many times since my computer was having issues and wouldn’t let me replay the sound when I was editing... 😂💜
Yes! I usually don't mind the sped up kind, but I literally just left watching a good video because I couldn't handle the "thump thump" club music in my ear anymore. (very bass sensitive)
That was amazingly satisfying. I am in the process of "prettying up" my storage bins and organizing things and it is stressful. I'm very proud of you that you gave yourself credit for what you had done and not worried over what was left. Patting yourself on the back gives you more motivation. Now on to Part II!
Public (or UA-cam) speaking trains the repetitions out of our speach patterns. I appreciate that you didn't completely abuse the word 'like'. You certainly did a tremendous organizing job. You are no hoarder. Very inspiring.
My favorite part is when you say, it looks like straight out of a hoarder episode! 🤣🤣🤣 I too was not 100% I feel you. Allot of crap going on, but heath is getting better everyday. Thank you so much for inspiring me!
Lisa - de cluttering, getting rid of stuff is not what crafters do because we WILL NEED the stuff we got rid of somewhere in the future n having it in the house than going out to buy stuff is truely satisfying. I'm not having ago, just my opinion 😳
Lol she isn’t gonna get rid of really anything because you need it as a crafter so I would still call it decluttering it, no hate on you I was just saying
I stumbled upon this video, after having cleaned my home for the last three days, because it was raining. I only have one room in my home, I often say; 'I sleep in my craftroom' because it's more of a craftroom and not a livingroom/bedroom. It's similar to your craftroom and my solutions, funnily enough, were similar to yours. Like the electronics in the box, did that. And the paperrolls in a bucket/bin. I'll watch the rest tomorrow, I'm halfway through the video, it's nice to see I'm not the only artist struggling with clutter-situations :)
Even though I clicked on this as clickbait you go girl! As a fellow crafter it's so hard to have so much crafting stuff and feel like a small hoarder but when you clean it out and you realize how much you use and love what you have then it honestly is just a reflection of you and you should always be proud of being yourself, whatever it may be. And being honest with your life being crazy so your space gets crazy is a great way to help you work through the mental health of getting past crazy life situations so kuddos sweet girl!
Aw thanks Miley! I’m so excited to keep working on it :) (PS thank you for the Christmas card! I got it yesterday, I’ll be writing back to you soon!) 💜💕☺️
Miley Mulherin no it’s totally my fault, I didn’t get to the post office in December 😬 But thanks again though, your letters always make my day! I’ll be sending you something tomorrow! 💜💕
I’m listening on mute because I’m at work, but I can’t tell you how reassuring it is to see how other people are like me. Moving from one project to another, leaving things out etc it is not a failure of self. It’s just stuff! :)
I love this series because you don’t do the normal decluttering/organizing that most more polished videos do. You film the stuff that I would do, like getting sidetracked and sorting the perler beads or the magazine clippings. Even the little stuff like taking stuff out of the packaging to save space or combining legos from 2 bins to one is satisfying to watch because it’s what I do all the time.
My art room is extremely full of the most wonderful art supplies that I do actually use. Organizing is hard when there's just so much. I don't think I am a hoarder but you have inspired me at least keep working at getting my art room in a better state. I actually started do art in my dining room until it was filled with finished work to the point that I could no longer paint in there. Definitely time to start selling.
My problem is that I see everything as something I could use, like “oh I can’t throw that cardboard box out because I might need it for something” (I won’t, we order enough from Amazon around here that I can always find something in the recycle bin 😂) Good luck cleaning out your art room! 💜
I have that too. My table is covered in (from what I can see, next to me on the desk) an old broche, tape, paperclips, horseshoe-nails (for horse-shoes) old fabric, a plastic box, feathers, two old cat-statues and old packaging to put my paint on. I mean, that's about a 30 square cm's. I get my stuff from the thriftshop, as an artist you often combine materials haha.
Thanks for the inspiration. I have to do mine too. Can barely walk around in there. I've been so sick. But it's got to be done. Room looks good. I'm glad you are feeling better.
so many ands lol. still a very entertaining video. i first watched this when it came out and now, 2 years later, I randomly remembered this video and came back for a rewatch :)
This video was such a relief! Thank you ❤️ My art room looks exactly the same, if not worse. I can barely open the door to enter it. And it drives my mom mad. And honestly, I stopped working on any art at all, because I was so intimidated by the task of clearing out and organizing the stuff in there. But after watching your video, I feel motivated :'D I think I can do this! Also, it really helped to know I wasn't the only one who had a plethora of random art and craft supplies and THEN some! 😅😅😅
I lost both parents 86 days apart in 2018. Mom unexpectedly. Between her and my Dad I lost a favorite Uncle. 15-year old dog after Dad. 3 months after that one of my dearest friends died. Yeah I hate 2018. My room still is a mess. Hard to part with sentimental items. I am giving myself until Independence Day to clean up and become independent of my clutter. I want to actually craft with the awesome supplies I have. This video even a year later is inspiring. TFS 😊
Extremely satisfying! I wish others knew how to actually declutter properly, instead of moving to things around. I will not admit how often I watch this video 😂
Glad I’m not the only one with a craft room that looks like a tornado touched down! I also use my craft room as storage and an office. I could clean it but it looks like this after a few minutes
This video is fantastic! Just from watching this video, I found a way I would like to clean! (I think we all can admit we have messy craft rooms) Thank you Megan for making this video!
Aw thank you! I am determined to finish my Wreck this Journal this year, I was so sick last year and didn’t feel like doing anything so I kind of forgot about it 😂💜💕
Megan, This is my first tume watching. I love the way you show "real life" before pics. I am currently cleaning out my craft room as well. Seeing your progress in this video keeps me encouraged to keep going on mine. I subbed and rang the bell for notifications. For now, I am on to part 2 of your craft room clean up, but plan to binge-watch your other videos later. Gkad to hear that tou are feeling better!
Oh god not another one 🤣 at least it’s not the “and then” drinking game, so glad I got a new laptop and can actually hear what my voiceovers sound like before they’re up on youtube!
I know you said you dont want to talk about your ilness(es?) but as someone else who is extremely sick all the time, and someone who loves to craft and be artsy hearing that there is someone else like me and tries their best is super inspiring and amazing for me to keep trying even when my illnesses get in my way. I respect your wishes of not wanting to talk about it, but know you are not alone and you gained a sub from me. 💜
Aw thank you so much! I’m so thankful to be slowly getting better and back to my old self. I wish I felt comfortable telling people about it, and maybe someday I will, but thank you for respecting my decision. I’m so sorry you are sick, I can definitely sympathize. Don’t be too hard on yourself, I hope you feel better soon 💜💕
I can relate and it can be such an uphill battle and embarrassing too, and ironically we need people, yet we don't want to burden them either by talking about it.... thus, we need to find something beautiful to hang onto and create and enjoy when we can. We can feel alone, and its hard for anyone who doesn't experience ill-health to understand how much it can get in the way; how frustrating it can be too. So, although not wishing it upon anyone, it helps to know, that we are not alone and that people can be very inspiring, thank you x
Lol yeah, I’m definitely not an organized person 😅 Thankfully I’ve been able to keep it pretty clean for the past few months now that I’ve cleaned it and everything has a place to go!
THANKYOU FOR Everything you did in this video. Very COOL. Loved and really appreciated the way you explained the reasons for doing everything. I loved the look of that dresser however I can relate to being liberated when I got rid of a piece of furniture I was not using.
Great job, girlie! I'm new to your channel. I subscribed and I look forward to watching more of your videos. I'm glad you're feeling better! You worked really hard on your pretty craft room. Be proud of yourself.
Sorry to hear you've been so sick, glad you're starting to feel better. Thank you for sharing... my studio room is a cluttered mess, and I need to tidy, and organize it too... you had good tips and ideas as you worked. You made great progress. 😃👍🏻 The doll radio you made is cool. 😎
Well I’m old and I loved it haha!!! Sooo and then I watched again and then again I’m getting such good ideas for my whole house thanks so much Megan I loved all of it... much help to me btw my favorite color is the purple
I wonder how many years and hours it took to be skillfully able to craft things with not super expensive stuff(but still have expensive things),and it not being a mess.I haven't seen her creations but I can tell they're really good because she has so many things that would make it really nice .And I can't paint rocks without it either being a mess or it taking so much time,I get inpatient and just give up.😂
I wouldn't have chosen your methods but I see you sure did get good results. Maybe you are onto something by dealing with micro items as you find them like sorting those beads by color etc so early on. But let me say lots of people might feel bogged down by those kind of tasks early in the project. It may helps with your motivation to do all the big moving and cleaning and get the room roughly situated in the first hour or two. This will give you so much motivation up front as well as setting up a place to work as you get into the more tedious stuff. Then fine tune it all one area at a time where changes might be slower. You also might save yourself some time by setting your collections off to the side until you have everything together...and set your containers and caddies off to the side as you empty them. Style everything and pair items up with the right containers at the end when you have gathered more options. Then you have a better chance of choosing smart the first time rather than maybe having to shift things from container to container to get it the way you want it. Regardless how I feel about your methods it was a pleasure to watch such a dedicated hustle and you did a great job. When a room with that much stuff is neglected for that long it's hard to get it together but I'm proud of you!
Thanks! I definitely understand what you’re saying, my mindset was that being in the room looking around I became overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Personally it was motivating to take things out of the room one by one to sort them in a less cluttered/overwhelming environment, it felt like I was actually accomplishing something instead of just shuffling the mess around 😂 Once I got the big sorting projects out of the way it was easier to go in and tackle the remaining mess, I kind of proved to myself that I could do it by doing the smaller projects first. Everyone has a different way of doing things, and the important thing is that it got done!
@@MeganWeller You are so right about how everyone's ways are different. When I saw your second video I realized just how much you did save a lot of the fine tuning for a second wave. It looks great.
Jessica Faber I totally forgot about it singing (the batteries died years ago) but yeah, just one press on their ears and you could annoy your family for hours 😂 I put roller skates on it and rode it around the house all the time, I loved it.

Same !!! 😂

I thought we could play a drinking game.
The cleaning is really satisfying though.
It was kinda annoying aha
Do not recommend playing the drinking game when she says AND. You'll wake up 3 days later in a tutu with no idea how to get home.
Oddly specific... 😂😂
