Absolutely. The trauma of losing a child, from those I know that have lost a child/children, is so very devastating, but to lose one in what was likely preventable, AND to find out via Social media?!?! Not from an officer, or even his sons mother/family? This as a whole, is a living nightmare for this Dad. The pain in his eyes, just tears me apart. My heart hurts so much for him, and I truly hope one day, he can smile again.

He shouldn’t be allowed in the ride on the first place most safety harnesses are designed for your average person there’s a reason why many amusement parks have height/weight restrictions and check you before they let you in , his harness most likely didn’t click but they let him on . They do have an emergency button of sorts (E-stop), but no one was even close to it. Though I think having that method of communicating with riders, and that being so riders can communicate with the operator should a ride need to stop or have an emergency of sorts would be of great help. But I do recall they have ways of speaking to the riders themselves, used in various other rides.

Seek help and learn to stop being a victim, it will enrich your world.
@Najhiah Hall also you say this while commenting on a news story. And I live in California and it has been all over the news. On the opposite coast. Also I had to Google the other boy you talked about. That poor family as well. Both of these boys did not deserve the way they died. I noticed that the other boys Dad was some kind of US lawmaker so he is a prominent person and still I didn't hear about it until now. You will find race in anything if you try.
@Najhiah Hall Sorry but it really isn't about race. I do believe you probably believe that and try to find race problems with everything you can but it is just not reality. You do realize you are commenting on a media story about this. This was ran on my local news in Cali even. Their was another race baiter on here trying to say this happened because the boy is black. It's delusional and for you to say it's more disheartening that you think the story somehow isn't played as much then this poor boy actually dying and his parents having to feel that pain gives us a look into how far this delusion warps the brain.
My heart just breaks for this grieving father 😭💔 I can't imagine the pain his going through and it makes me think about my daughter to cherish every moment with her bcuz you just never know what tomorrow holds. My prayers and thoughts go out to this family 🙏🙏❤️
these sick people making fun of him even after this horrific event , and his death . I'm more than positive this wasn't the first time he'd been humiliated . frustrating reading all these mean and bullyish comments . RIP TO TYREE
Unfortunately, it was probably all of the above that led to his death: He wasn't properly restrained, he was too big, and someone wasn't doing their job. Because if he wasn't properly restrained and was too large for the ride, then one of the ride operators should have noticed and let him off the ride. Prayers to the family!
the ride operators are 15-17 years old, and just wanted to keep the patrons happy and didnt want to shake things up by telling him "Sorry, youre too heavy for this ride." But this caused the accident, since the seats arent constructed for extremely short, small, light, or big, tall, or heavy body types outside of normal range
I hate seeing things like this. I think it’s also important to note that even if he was too big to ride the ride, it would’ve been the operators responsibility to check and have him possibly get off the ride if he had to.
They asked him to get off in multiple occasions and he kept coming back upset and demanding to be allowed in the ride. Teenagers do not like to follow rules nor they respect authority now days.
@@minion0777 it's still the staffs responsibility to not let anyone on who cannot be properly secured onto a ride..they are suppose to check every single seat to make sure it's buckled/secured properly and that it locks properly. even if he was upset and kept comming back begging to get on..it was still on staff to not allow him..he was there with his football team so the staff should've asked to speak with the adult in charge at the time to explain to the adult why he couldn't get on the ride.. I went to a bigger theme park here in NC and I saw a staff member completely stop the ride and refuse to let the ride start until a women who couldn't be properly secured into the ride got off..the woman refused and so they called park security to re-explain why she couldn't ride & to remove the woman..it took about 30 extra minutes but finally they got the woman off the ride with threats of removing her from the theme park completely. I also took my children when they were much younger to the young kids play area of that same ride..there was a child wanting to ride and the person asked where the adult they were with was because they couldn't allow children under a certain age to even ride the kid approved rides unless an adult walked them up to the ride and allowed the child permission to ride it..so the staff member refused to let the child on the ride and called on his walky talky about a child who was without an adult and the child couldn't even point out the adult they were with from any of the adults within a few feet of the ride..security came and they eventually found the adult who was responsible for the child.. so like I said no excuse for the staff member to have allowed this young man onto the ride..if that was even the truth that they refused to allow him on at first..so regardless of if this young man protested or not..the staff member still let him onto the ride and didn't have the young man properly buckled..so the staff member is still largely responsible for this happening
@@antonettelambert4010 I agree, he was a child. Some kid can come to my door and beg to play with matches and I’m not going to hand them over, even if it’s the hundredth time they come begging and throwing a tantrum. The employees need to be empowered to throw people out of the park and not pressured to keep the customers happy at the expense of safety, which I suspect played a role in their poor decision making. The customer isn’t always right when you’re strapping them into a ride that could endanger them, especially a LITERAL CHILD. I doubt all the kids were escorted by their coach from ride to ride, and had probably split into small groups, so there likely wasn’t an adult to address the situation with. Maybe it would have made a difference if the ride operator could have said, “kid, come up here one more time and I’m calling security and you’ll have to leave the entire park for the rest of the night. I told you that you can’t ride and I meant it.” Although I question the training and educational level of most ride operators…

The manufacturer is more to blame when a kid in 1999 died on a similar ride by the same manufacturer and they added a harness - they should have added a harness to all their rides not just the one the kid was on in 1999

I can't imagine this... the look on this kids face when he was sitting there waiting on the ride to go up he looked so calm and happy that he had gotten a chance to finally go on a ride... his seat wasn't even down all the way... they just let him go up like that ..he was only 14 so it didn't register for him to ask about his seat security because he probably just thought that they did their job. He just wanted to have fun with his friends 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 looks like his Daddy's been crying ever since that day gosh man this hurts me.. I'm so sorry 😞
im literally just so pissed everytime i see how his seat was placed!!! it literally is supposed to go all the way down until it almost touches the seat but his was literally left up in the air??? like where the fck is the double check, anything?? this was so easily avoidable and when i heard the video and his mom screaming that it wasnt properly locked in....
My condolences to this young man's heartbroken family. Besides being a loved and valued family member, the young man had so much potential and the ability to follow his dreams. 6'5" tall, 350 lbs, and only 14 years old. Most young men don't stop growing until at least a couple of years out of high school. My husband was 5'6" when he graduated, then he grew to 5'11". This young man would likely have been the biggest, tallest, man on the NFL football field. But the real tragedy is that his family has to go on without him. I pray for strength for them.
I have not stopped crying since first hearing about the tragic loss of this poor baby. My heart hurts for his poor family and seeing so much heartbreak in his fathers eyes just tears me up inside because there is no reason they should have to be burring their child all because the operators of that ride failed to do their job correctly. Now if they could submit an online petition to have the ride taken down i can almost guarantee they would not hundreds but thousands of signatures. And if we all come together we can see that it happens. From Fort Worth Texas.

@@beebeesimmer3010 They need more than 1 or 2 “safety belts” when it comes to rides. Something to cover/protect the chest, lower area and arms.
Great idea!

@@minion0777 Yet, the staff let the kid on the ride?
