- In this cake decorating tutorial I show you how I made this Regal Purple and Gold Modern Geometric cake. I also show you how to make textured chocolate decorations. This cake actually came together quite easily but did take some time because of the details. They need time to dry, so just allow the time for that;)

All it is is 3 parts dark chocolate chips and 1 part heavy cream. I put the cream in the microwave for 2 minutes until you see steam. Them put the chocolate in and let it sit for a few minutes. Then just whisk until it comes together and is smooth.

Yes I just used wilton meringue powder royal icing recipe. These were 6" and 8" cakes;)

Oh no;) I bake and make frostings one day, and then I do the decorating the following 2 days. I usually do 2 tutorials per week.

I just used 3 oats dark chocolate to 1 part heavy cream. Heat the cream for 1 to 2 minutes in the microwave till it steams, add the chocolate and let it sit for a few minutes then whisk till smooth.
How long can this cake stay out of the freezer.
Probably about 20 minutes or so. Depends in the weather where you are.
I want to make a gold and black cake can I just make the circles stick it on the buttercream and paint gold dust on some. I am not a professional. Can you give me a guide thank you. Your cakes are beautiful
Yes you can absolutely do that;) There are many ways to get the same results.

Just a regular dark chocolate chips that you can get at any grocery store.
Can we use the gold dust on buttercream as you used it on ganache?
Yep!
It might not be as reflective, but you can.
