My apologies ya'll, it appears I may have been misinformed about the Claws of Night setup used in this video. Use successive attack talismans instead of those crit talismans, you'll still get the damage you saw here and overall they will serve you better. And if you really want to, throw on Rakshasa's Armor to make it more obnoxious than it already is. Have a good day gang
Yeah, I was going to make a correction after playing around with them more, after I'd posted the screenshot. The only thing lending to the ash of war damage, I think, is Alexander's Shard, but the blacksmith talisman still applies to the heavy attacks. The other two talismans don't do anything unless you get a riposte or a backstab. That being said, it's probably a good thing the other talismans don't work with the ash of war, considering you can two shot anyone if you shotgun 'em point blank. The Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Millicent's Prosthesis can proc from the weapon attacks, but not the ash of war, from what I could tell as well.
Took me 10hrs to beat him with Bloodflame Beast Claws. I feel your pain brother. I love their moveset, but they definitely need a buff to hold a candle to other weapons.
use backhand blade for final boss, it lets you dodge the near undodgeable cross swing attack he does with blind spot and if you 1v1 him its like a cool anime fight. Took me 7 hours to solo, which I'm told is less than average if you're not tanking with shield
I wanted the running heavy from Bloodborne. You dragged your claws on the ground before slashing upward releasing sparks and kicking up a dust cloud at the end. So good and satisfying.
IMO they could've at least recategorized certain weapons from the base game into the new weapon categories and I'd feel there would be little complaints. Like Bloodhound Claws to beast claws, Hand of Malenia into a light greatsword, and/or add the Beastman throwing knives as a new throwing dagger
6:35 I don't think it's just a matter of personal preference, although that's definitely a factor. I think another important component of it is creativity; many people fail to take full advantage of a weapon's capabilities, simply because they didn't explore its boundaries far enough to realize its potential, and they think it's bad or not fun as a result.
I run the red bear with godskin swaddling cloth and the regen cracked tear and I can get some decent self healing going! It fits with the weapon's super aggressive nature. It's what I used to beat Gaius.
The claws getting headshots don't count as critical hits in the way that are effected by those talismans, a "Critical Hit" in the terms of the two talismans you had on specifically refer to the animation where you are locked into the target and deliver a blow, such as after a parry/stance break, during a backstab, or certain ashes of war/spells that act in a similar way. Those talismans don't boost the damage you were doing, which you can tell bc otherwise you would have gotten a red buff from the BoM proccing, which you didn't
@@baileyp_ Spear does not work. I have a lengthy post on the Fextra wiki page for the claws of night listing the damage change with various talismans, tears, etc. I recommend consulting that.
I really enjoy the beast claws and I’ve been using them pretty much since I got my hands on them. Also with the raging beast AoW it gives you I frames at the very start of the jumping animation.
And you can control the direction. The ashe of war is so slept on. I've been able to use it as a second dash during emergencies too. The frames start later then a roll but you reach farther then u normally would, oddly one of the few skills I can counter swift slash with. An amazing combo is doing a charged R2 from range, R2 fient, into R1 (turns into a backstep attack after a fient) into L2. You cover amazing ranges with this combo and catch a lot of people off gaurd who arnt use to such small weapons having this much range. One more quick tip, you can do light attacks instead of doing the follow up R2 after the Ashe of War. Its quicker in both attacks an recovery, better for 1v1's where they are always going to dodge the follow up from the L2, but the follow up has better poise damage of you think they won't dodge it.
One thing I've noticed with off-handing the beast claw is if you just do the first L1 followed by an R1 from a heavier weapon like a greataxe, the followup will come out very fast. This paired with the gap closer on that L1 is really helpful. I've been rocking left handed beast claw with the Butchering Knife in the right hand. Also, the guy doing all those backstop attacks with the Ancient Meteoric Sword, he was probably trying to use the fine feather talisman for backstep I-frames.
I’m starting to realize many people don’t know beast claw weapons have a feint attack, like how curved swords and thrusting swords do. Really good for ending combos
@@LaughingHyena-zp4bgbuilt in fakeouts certain weapons can do by charging an attack and hitting the dodge button. You can use it to make distance and punish people trying to hit you.
@@LaughingHyena-zp4bg Certain weapons have a secret evasive attack built into their moveset. If you press the roll button while charging a heavy attack, you'll dodge backwards and do a special quick attack instead. Heavy attacks are slow, risky moves that you need to commit to, and feint attacks give you a way to bail on charging a heavy attack, dodge away to safety, and maintain attack pressure on the enemy at the same time. Only certain weapons have them.

how does your armor set look good with every weapon
*Heavy Beast Claw* I can finally make a dark flame Dragon with life steal and a great katana :V
Now the ash of war can hyper armor ultras😁🥳
wait headshots are critical hits?
What chest piece is that?
5:00 bro has no drip
BEAST MACHINES
11:50 Is that a JoJo Reference?!?!
Now every weapon from the existing weapon categories. I'm really exited, what ur opinion will be.
Talisman list please?
After using the claws of night, i def think lowering the bleed on the ash is really all youd need to do to balance them, like the raptor talons true r2 combo is also busted for lightning setups, granted thsi ash is much easier to get off.
I think the biggest problem is how much hitstun they have on the ash.
Red Bear Claw weapon art is absolute trash in PvP. It doesn't combo into itself, has slow start up, has no hyper armor, and uses so much FP. It needs a buff, desperately.
You got your wish lol
Fromsoft finally deciding on it's core demographic...furries apparently lol. Great video 👍
Claws of night aren't beast claw weapons
What password do you use for the colosseum
Ong this guy's goated asf 😭🙏
I don't like Raging Beast, AOW, Savage claws the Defalut AoW is Better IMO, on the 1st claws
The claws of night are very much “You were expecting a balanced weapon, but it was I! DIO!”
insane how ER pvp is just meant to be a goofyah lagfest
They are pretty cool in pvp, but wasn’t much of a fan in pve
DUELING SHIELDS NEXT
Freaky claws
AYYYYYYYYE I REQUESTED THIS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
Monkey mash weapon.
swag gaming
Am I one of the first people to see this?
Salve do Brazil mano :D
What ever u do the video is always 15min+ long. lot of respect for that especially with 2 weapons only 🤣
the furry community is rejoicing with these weapons. I've seen countless werebear and werewolf cosplays and I CANNOT fucking parry these degens
I'm getting destroyed by everything from the DLC. Looks so overtuned in PvP in comparison to vanilla weapons.
19 seconds ago is crazy
