    After having this thing for a while I wondered how long its been since its had a tune up. Not a lot to do on a tune up here but it is a good idea to do at the 100k mile mark. The NBS Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra in the earlier years also had a fuel filter. The newer ones do not. So basically just a new plugs and plug wires and a new air filter. This Chevrolet Silverado NBS does have an airaid intake on it but the filter was dirty. Instead of cleaning it I wanted a new green usa filter. I also use a lot of seafoam on my vehicles. I think it does a great job of cleaning things out if used regularly. The plug wires I use on this truck are way nicer than others I have seen. They are the perfect length and are not too short. Several options for plug wires on the ls trucks and cars.

  • @bdtaylor1979
    @bdtaylor1979 2 роки тому +1

    I had the same thing happen with the plug wires on a 2003 Silverado I had. Ordered the shorter ones because I didn’t know there was two sizes.
    I installed a complete airaid “cold air” intake on my 2007 Avalanche only because I took it off of the Silverado when I sold it and I noticed no difference whatsoever in performance. Did a 0-60 test with my phone and there was less than a second difference in the times. So I put the factory box back on with the airaid tube and a k&n filter in the stock box and called it a day.

    • @TWAMotorsports

      @@TWAMotorsports I agree. I think the only time you would benefit from an open air filter is if you have internal engine work and tuned, as well as a bigger throttle body to allow more air.

    Hello Travis. You can tell in the video that you weren't that thrilled with the Air Intake unit. Which do you recommend for an upgrade...and if said upgrade is installed...will I need to have the truck computer tuned for the extra air it's pulling. Will that extra air throw off the computer. Looking for the best option and trust your judgement from all your sick videos. I am building a 2000 GMC Sierra ext cab, 5.3 that I call "Snow White". It has 300,000k miles and runs great. You measure the tightness with your hand and the same turns 12 ⏰ clock . All spark plugs have to be the same level depending on the length as you have seen in different spark plugs . Great video bro .
