I always think about when school was cancelled due to the snow ! Parents at work, me my brother and sister. Making oatmeal and cinnamon toast and watching TPIR ! 76/77/78/79/80 years ! Before cable TV lol, I am that old !
Her reaction is so cute along with the crowd screaming for her. Bob is funny with that income comment but so warm with that fatherly "yeess" after her win. This moved me to tears a bit.
I saw this on Pluto TV. Right after commercial, Bob acknowledged that the $250 with the second chance was added to $10,000, making her the second highest winner behind Trevor's $10,500 in the Barker era. I think that was in 2003.
Cheryl's a cute li'l pixie of a girl who deserved to win as much as she could! Look at her bouncing up and down over those two $250s! So sweet! And I love how Bob always drew out the Punch-A-Bunch reveals!
It’s funny, I was looking to see where I’d punch and it was right in the area where she punched it. Just before she decided to punch it, I’d settled on it as well. Love when that sort of thing happens
There was also an unusual Punch-a-Bunch win, in Season 31 of 2003, where contestant Trevor Roe, actually does the same thing, but won more than just $10,250- $10,500, though Bob admits that that was the first time in history that it has ever happened (where a contestant won more than $10,000), though he doesn't mention that this particular playing was the first.
That's because if you listen to Bob's wording, he said "if you wish, you can give back the $250 and take the Second Chance" instead. It seemed as though with the rules at this time, it wasn't intended to be $250 PLUS the second chance, but rather take the $250 OR give it back and go with the Second Chance instead.
I saw one where this old dude with a cowboy hat won all 4 punches, and the first punch Bob pulled out the card, and it was like $100, the dude kept that, and turned down the other 3. Well, the second hole was the $10,000 card. It was total cringe that the dude passed that up for $100.
@@jimthegatormantwopoint0 The second chance I was referring to. The contestant got a second chance. But the $250 was not added to her $10,000 unless Bob made a boo boo.
The rules may have changed because if you punch a hole and get a second chance, they let you keep the amount to add with the second chance punch. She should have won $10250.
This happened around the same time someone accomplished a similar feat on Tom Kennedy's Nighttime "Price is Right." ua-cam.com/video/_0acCbZO8qA/v-deo.html
It's always a good time when the "big prize horn" goes off.
That horn sound is the most thrilling sound in tv history
There's something so comforting about the background music used in this show. Instantly takes you back to late morning in the 70's/80's
Being home sick from school . . . and later, being home on maternity leave.

100% agreed. & the video link for Trevor earning $10,500 back in early 2003 is:

Bob is incorrect. She doesn't have to give back the 250 to get the second chance printed on it. She gets the 250 PLUS the next card
Excuse me, Horsecock Bob is never wrong. You are wrong and how dare you slander the goat 🐐
Yes bob always treated contestants with respect
Cheryl's a cute li'l pixie of a girl who deserved to win as much as she could! Look at her bouncing up and down over those two $250s! So sweet! And I love how Bob always drew out the Punch-A-Bunch reveals!
That was a great win!
The look from Diane (if that is who is up there with Bob) after the final hole is punched was as if she knew that the $10,000 hole was punched.
This was before they make "Second Chance" stack with the bonus punch.
It happened again on January 22, 2003 when Trevor won $10,500.
The world is about end sirens were the best when someone one something big

I thought she's going to have a heart attack
This is why Bob was known as the King of Suspense because he had that face that made you think one thing but your reaction would be another
if she'd won big in Plinko, she'd have fainted and fallen down the steps
Then she'd be able to pay 10% of the medical bills
The sad reality of it is that she probably only got less than $6,000 of that after taxes. Taxes are the biggest scam in the book.
She’s adorable 😊
3:24 Yes, Cheryl!!! Ten thousand dollars in cold, hard cash for you, baby! And with $250 extra to boot. Congratulations, Cheryl!
She doesn’t get the $250
$10,000 win on the price is right punch a bunch
Rip. John/Rod. I liked the show when Bob was there.
I love the show
10K CASH prize is actually betwern about $5000-$7500 AFTER ALL TAXES AND a HIGHER tax status for THAT year! 😔

For some reason there were a lot of $10K winners on Punch of Bunch in the Barker era.
Cheryl's eyes!

She saved the show from stinking like it happened in the previous episode.
This must have been a rule change later on... She should've won $10,250
Hang on, shouldn’t she have had $10,250? Or, was the rule about keeping “second chance“ punches and adding to them not in play yet?
Cheryl got 3 punches. She got $250 + second chance. That punch wins $10,000 dollars!!
It's a shame that they did away with the SECOND CHANCE cards after Barker retired.
A $10,000 Punch Win!
Awesome fake-out!
Bob also used plural in describing $10,00o holes. Maybe there were only two?
Yes. If you see the chart on the bottom of the board. The prize list indicates that. It always has said that.
3:24 BOB: $10,000! Look it over!
5000 to taxes!
*Skip to **3:22** for the best part.*
Bob really didn't understand that the amount with the second chance on it can be added to the next punch. Unless I'm mistaken?
I assume Bob assumed that rule change after he turned Executive Produce.
@@PGTransformed Nope. the rule changes during the Carey Era when the maximum amount raised to $25,000.

I checked a few inflation calculators and I got $27885.34

$10,000 in 1985 has the same "purchasing power" or "buying power" as $27,959.11 in 2023.
This was before the changed the rule get a sec9nd chance u get it added the punch. She could of got $10,250.
The additive rule was in effect - it was just Bob forgetting it for this instance. She indeed got $10,250.

People are always motivated by greed.
She should have kept that and then punched out another hole with her second chance and then she would have won $10,250
